By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer can not be held responsible for the damage. The following safety precautions should always be followed when using your TRISTAR CM-2275:

Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plug or the appliance in water or other liquid.

Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

The TRISTAR CM-2275 shall not be used by children aged from 0 years to 8 years. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they are continuously supervised.

This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children.

An appliance is not a toy, therefore, children must not play with the appliance.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord can not become entangled.

The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface.

The user must not leave the device unattended while it is connected to the supply.

This appliance is only to be used for household purposes and only for the purpose it is made for.

The appliance is suitable for outdoor use.

Do not use the appliance near a direct heat source.

Make sure there is enough space around the appliance.

The appliance may get hot.

Do not use this appliance in a bathroom or near a sink filled with water.

If this appliance has fallen into the water, do not under any circumstances grab this appliance, but first pull the plug from the socket.

Make sure that the cord does not hang over the edge of the table or counter, does not touch any hot surfaces or come into direct contact with the hot parts of the appliance.

Do not place the appliance under or near curtains, window coverings etc.

The main parts of the TRISTAR CM-2275 are:

To prepare your TRISTAR CM-2275 for its first use, please follow these steps:

Step 1. Take the appliance and accessories out of the box. Remove any stickers, protective foil, or plastic from the device.

Step 2. Before using your appliance for the first time, wipe off all removable parts with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive products.

Step 3. Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm of free space around it. This appliance is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.

Step 4. Operate the TRISTAR CM-2275 two or three times using only water to clean the inside of the appliance.

To brew coffee with your TRISTAR CM-2275, follow these steps:

Step 1. Make sure the coffee maker is switched off.

Step 2. Fill the water tank with the desired amount of water. The water level should not exceed the maximum level mark on the water gauge.

Step 3. Place a paper filter in the filter holder.

Step 4. Add the desired amount of coffee to the filter.

Step 5. Place the glass jug on the hot plate.

Step 6. Insert the plug into the socket.

Step 7. Press the On/off switch; the indicator light will illuminate and the brewing process will start.

Step 8. When the brewing process is finished, the TRISTAR CM-2275 will automatically switch to the keep warm function. The temperature of the coffee is maintained at 75°C.

Step 9. If the coffee machine has not been turned off manually, it will automatically shut off after 40 minutes.

Step 10. Wait until the brewing process is completely finished and the filter is empty.

Step 11. You can remove the jug from the hot plate; the drip stop prevents any further dripping of coffee from the filter holder. This function allows you to pour a cup of coffee before the brewing process is complete. Note: do not return the empty jug to the keep warm plate when the device is still in keep warm mode.

For general cleaning of your TRISTAR CM-2275, follow these instructions:

Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely.

Clean the outside with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, steel wool or a scouring pad as this will damage the device. Do not immerse in water or other liquid.

The glass jug, funnel, and permanent filter can be washed in warm soapy water. These parts are not dishwasher proof.

The TRISTAR CM-2275 needs to be descaled approximately once a month, depending on the hardness of the water. To descale your appliance, follow these steps:

Step 1. Mix one part of white vinegar and three parts of cold water.

Step 2. Pour the mixture into the water tank.

Step 3. Place the glass jug on the hotplate.

Step 4. Let the appliance complete one brewing cycle with the vinegar solution.

Step 5. After descaling, operate the device 3 more times with only clean water to rinse away the vinegar and scale.

If your TRISTAR CM-2275 is not working, please check the following:

Check if the plug is properly plugged into the socket.

Check if there is voltage on the socket.

Check if the coffee machine is switched on.

If the TRISTAR CM-2275 is making an unusual noise or brewing slowly, the appliance needs to be descaled. Please follow the descaling instructions provided for the TRISTAR CM-2275.

The coffee pot of the TRISTAR CM-2275 is not a thermos flask. If you want to keep the coffee hot for a longer period of time, you should use a thermos flask.
