How do I set up my TP-LINK DECO PX50 system?

To set up your TP-LINK DECO PX50, you must first get the TP-Link Deco app for your iOS or Android device. Then, follow the steps in the app.

1. Get the Deco app: Download the TP-Link Deco app from Google Play or the App Store and install it on your smartphone or tablet.

2. Log in or sign up: Open the app and log in with your TP-Link ID. If you do not have one, you will need to create one first.

3. Select your Deco model: Search for and select the Deco PX50 model in the app.

4. Plug in your Deco: Power off your modem. Connect your Deco unit to the modem using an Ethernet cable, and then power both devices on. If you do not have a modem, connect the Deco directly to your Ethernet outlet. Ensure the Deco is connected to a wall outlet, not a power strip, and that all Deco units are on the same electrical circuit.

5. Connect to the Deco’s Wi-Fi: On your smartphone or tablet, connect to the Deco’s Wi-Fi network using the default SSID (e.g., Deco_XXXX) printed on the product label at the bottom of the unit.

6. Specify the Deco’s location: Select or create a custom location for your Deco (e.g., Living Room). This location will be used as the name for this specific Deco unit.

7. Connect to the internet: Select your internet connection type (e.g., Dynamic IP) and enter any required information provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you are unsure, contact your ISP.

8. Create your Wi-Fi network: Set a network name (SSID) and a password for your new Wi-Fi network. This is the name and password you will use to connect your devices.

9. Connect to your new Wi-Fi network: Connect your smartphone or tablet to the new Wi-Fi network you just created to continue the setup.

10. Setup complete: Your Deco network is now active. You can connect your other devices to the network.
