When installing your TOA RM-210, please adhere to the following safety warnings to prevent personal injury or property damage:

• Use nuts and bolts that are appropriate for the ceiling’s or wall’s structure and composition. If the unit falls, it could cause material damage and possible personal injury.

• Do not expose the unit to rain or an environment where it may be splashed by water or other liquids, as this may result in fire or electric shock.

• Use the unit only with the specified voltage. Using a higher voltage may result in fire or electric shock.

• Avoid installing or mounting the unit in unstable locations, such as on a rickety table or a slanted surface, to prevent it from falling and causing injury or damage.

To ensure safe operation of your TOA RM-210, please follow these precautions:

• To prevent fire or electric shock, never open or remove the unit case, as there are high voltage components inside. Refer all servicing to your nearest TOA dealer.

• Do not place cups, bowls, or other containers of liquid or metallic objects on top of the unit. If they accidentally spill into the unit, it may cause a fire or electric shock.

• Do not insert metallic objects like pointed objects and coins, or flammable materials into the unit’s openings, as this could result in fire or electric shock.

• Do not touch a plug during thunder and lightning, as this may result in an electric shock.

• Do not place heavy objects on the unit, as this may cause it to fall or break, which could result in personal injury and/or property damage. Additionally, the object itself may fall off and cause injury.

Yes, please observe the following precautions for handling and installation of the TOA RM-210:

Handling:

• To clean, first switch off the power supply to the unit, then wipe with a dry cloth. If the unit is very dirty, use a cloth dampened in a neutral cleanser. Never use benzene, thinner, or chemically-treated cleaning cloths as these volatile liquids could deform or discolor the unit.

Installation:

• Do not install the unit in locations exposed to direct sunlight or heaters, as it could become deformed or discolored.

• Avoid installing or storing the unit in dusty or humid locations, as this could cause a failure.

• Keep the unit as far away as possible from fluorescent lamps, digital equipment, PCs, or other equipment that generate high-frequency noise.

The TOA RM-210 has the following controls and connectors:

1. Name label: Insert a label (not thicker than 0.2 mm) indicating the name of each panel control and indicator.

2. Message indicator: Lights green when the corresponding Message Selector Key (1 – 5) is pressed.

3. Message selector key: Selects the broadcast message (1 – 5).

4. Extension connector [EXTENSION]: Connects to the RM-200M Remote Microphone using the supplied cable.

To link the TOA RM-210 Remote Microphone Extension with the RM-200M Remote Microphone, follow these steps using the supplied extension cable and mounting hardware:

Step 1. Turn over both the RM-200M and the RM-210, and keep them in close contact with each other.

Step 2. Connect between both units using the extension cable.

Step 3. Using 4 supplied screws and Linkage Bracket B, link both units together.

Step 4. Using 8 supplied screws and 2 pieces of Linkage Bracket A, fix both units securely.

Note: If an incorrect or loose connection is found between the units, loosen all the bracket fixing screws to disassemble the units and then link them again.

To prepare and insert name labels for the TOA RM-210, follow these instructions:

1. Name label type and paper:

• Use Name label B for the TOA RM-210.

• The paper should be under 0.2 mm thick.

2. Preparing the name label:

• By hand: Copy the pattern paper template, write the name, and cut it out along the guidelines.

• By PC/word processor: Prepare and print the label according to the dimensional diagram for printing devices, then cut it to the instructed size (30 x 136 mm for Label B).

3. Inserting the name label:

• Fully insert the name label, cut to the instructed size, into the label entry slit.

• To remove the label, pull it out of the slit using the tip of a knife blade.
