1. Open the end caps on each side of the WingBar.

2. Take one of the long rubber strips and press it firmly into the T-track on top of the bar, starting from one end and working your way to the other.

3. Once the strip is fully seated, use a pair of scissors to cut any excess rubber so that it is flush with the end of the bar.

4. Repeat the process for the second WingBar.

To ensure a secure fit for your THULE WINGBAR EDGE 958XB, you must use the correct hole on the steel mounting strap based on the width of your vehicle’s raised roof rails. First, measure the width of your vehicle’s rail. Then, use the table below to find the corresponding hole number on the strap:

Select the hole on the strap that matches your vehicle’s rail measurement.

Follow these steps to attach the mounting straps to the rack’s feet:

1. Open the cover on the foot of the WingBar.

2. Insert the steel mounting strap into the mechanism within the foot.

3. Hook the hole on the strap (determined in the previous step) onto the designated pin inside the foot mechanism.

4. Use the supplied torque tool to tighten the internal screw. Turn it just enough to secure the strap in place. Do not fully tighten at this stage.

5. Repeat this process for the other three feet.

Proper positioning is crucial for safety and performance. Follow these guidelines:

1. Place the front and rear WingBars onto your vehicle’s raised side rails.

2. Adjust the front-to-back position of the bars on the rails according to your vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations or your specific needs.

3. Ensure there is a minimum distance of 700 mm between the front and rear WingBars.

4. Center the bars on the roof so that the overhang is equal on both the left and right sides.

5. Adjust the feet so they are positioned equally from the vehicle’s rail supports on both sides for a balanced fit.

To safely secure the THULE WINGBAR EDGE 958XB, you must tighten the feet alternately to ensure even pressure. Follow this procedure:

1. Once the bars are correctly positioned, use the supplied torque tool on the tightening screw located in the foot of the bar.

2. Tighten the left side a few turns, then move to the right side and tighten it a few turns.

3. Continue to switch between the left and right sides, tightening each one gradually.

4. Keep tightening until the torque tool “clicks”. The click indicates that you have reached the correct torque of 2 Nm.

5. Once one side clicks, check the other side and tighten it until it also clicks.

6. Repeat the entire process for the second WingBar.

Do not use any other tool or continue to tighten after the tool clicks, as this could damage the rack or your vehicle.

To secure your THULE WINGBAR EDGE 958XB, install the lock cylinders into the end caps of each foot by following these steps:

1. Ensure the end cap on the foot is open.

2. Take one of the lock cylinders and insert the key.

3. Align the lock cylinder with the opening in the end cap and push it in until it clicks into place.

4. Remove the key.

5. You can now use the key to lock and unlock the cover, preventing access to the tightening mechanism.

6. Repeat for the remaining three feet.

The T-track on top of your THULE WINGBAR EDGE 958XB allows for the easy installation of compatible accessories. Follow these general steps:

1. Open the end cap of the WingBar to access the T-track.

2. Slide the T-bolts of your Thule accessory into the T-track.

3. Position the accessory at the desired location on the bar.

Place the accessory’s T-bolts in position and then cut small sections out of the rubber strip where the bolts are located.
