The THERMALTAKE VERSA H16 TG is compatible with the following motherboard form factors:

Mini ITX (6.7″ x 6.7″)

Micro ATX (9.6″ x 9.6″)

To remove the side panel, unscrew the four thumbscrews located at the corners of the tempered glass panel and carefully lift it away from the chassis. To remove the front panel, firmly pull it away from the chassis starting from the bottom opening.

Place the PSU in the proper location at the bottom rear of the case. Align the screw holes on the PSU with the holes on the back of the chassis. Secure the PSU with the four #6-32 x 6 mm screws provided.

First, install the motherboard standoffs in the correct positions for your motherboard’s form factor (Micro ATX or Mini ITX). Lay the chassis down. Carefully place the motherboard onto the standoffs, aligning the I/O shield with the rear cutout and the mounting holes with the standoffs. Secure the motherboard using the provided M3 x 5 mm screws.

The THERMALTAKE VERSA H16 TG has multiple mounting locations for storage drives.

For the bottom drive cage (Location A):

1. Pull out the drive tray from the cage.

2. To install a 3.5-inch HDD, place it inside the tray and secure it from the bottom with four #6-32 x 6 mm screws.

3. To install a 2.5-inch SSD/HDD, place it on top of the tray and secure it from the bottom with four M3 x 5 mm screws.

4. Slide the tray back into the drive cage until it clicks into place.

For the bracket on the back of the motherboard tray (Location B):

1. This location supports up to two 2.5-inch SSDs/HDDs.

2. Place the 2.5-inch drives onto the bracket and secure each one from the bottom with four M3 x 5 mm screws.

3. Mount the bracket onto the back of the motherboard tray.

1. Unscrew and remove the PCI slot covers corresponding to the slot your VGA card will use.

2. Carefully insert the VGA card into the PCI-E slot on your motherboard.

3. Press down firmly until the card is fully seated.

4. Secure the VGA card’s mounting bracket to the chassis using the screws you removed in step 1.

The chassis supports the following fan configurations:

Front: 2 x 140mm or 2 x 120mm fans

Top: 2 x 140mm or 2 x 120mm fans

Rear: 1 x 120mm fan (one standard fan is pre-installed)

The chassis supports the following AIO radiator configurations:

Front: 1 x 280mm or 1 x 240mm radiator

Top: 1 x 240mm radiator

Rear: 1 x 120mm radiator

Locate the front panel headers on your motherboard manual to correctly connect the chassis I/O cables.

Power SW / Power LED / HDD LED: Connect these individual pin connectors to the system panel header on your motherboard. Pay attention to the positive (+) and negative (-) markings.

USB 3.0: Connect the blue USB 3.0 connector to the USB 3.0 header on your motherboard.

USB 1.0: Connect the USB 1.0/2.0 connector to a USB 2.0 header on your motherboard.

HD Audio: Connect the HD Audio connector to the front panel audio header on your motherboard.

RESET: Connect the reset switch cable to the reset header on your motherboard’s system panel.

To control ARGB lighting via your motherboard’s software, connect the ARGB cable to the appropriate 5V header on your motherboard.

For ASUS / ASRock / BIOSTAR motherboards: Connect to the Aura Addressable Strip Header(s), aligning the pins for +5V, Data, and Ground.

For MSI motherboards: Connect to the JRAINBOW-strip Header(s), aligning the pins for +5V, Data, and Ground.

For GIGABYTE motherboards: Connect to the AOURS RGB Fusion with Digital LEDs header, aligning the pins for V, D, and G.

The THERMALTAKE VERSA H16 TG has filters in three locations:

Top Filter: The top filter is magnetic and can be removed by simply lifting it off the top of the chassis.

Front Filter: The front filter is integrated into the front panel. To clean it, first remove the front panel by pulling it away from the case.

Rear Filter: The filter for the power supply unit is located on the bottom of the chassis at the rear. It can be removed by sliding it out towards the back of the case.
