The TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO loudspeaker is designed to play back and amplify audio signals from an external audio source via Bluetooth® or a cable connection. It is intended for use in the private sphere. Any other use is deemed improper and may result in material damage or personal injury. Before starting up the loudspeaker, you should read the user manual and safety booklet carefully and keep the instructions in a safe place.

How do I properly carry and set up the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO?

1. Hold the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO loudspeaker by the side handles and carry it carefully to the setup site.

2. Place the loudspeaker on a stable, level surface.

3. Avoid placing it near heat sources and in direct sunlight.

4. Do not place any objects on the loudspeaker.

The loudspeaker also has an opening at the bottom for mounting on a PA stand with 35 mm pins.


How do I connect the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO to power and switch it on?

Connecting to Power

1. On the back of the speaker, open the cover (27) and engage it in the battery cover bracket (28).

2. Connect the mains cable (3) to the mains connection (26) on the speaker.

3. Connect the other end of the mains cable (3) to a mains socket.

As soon as the loudspeaker is connected to a mains socket, the battery starts charging.

Switching On and Off

To switch on: Press and hold the power button (7) for 1.5 seconds. The loudspeaker will switch on and all the LEDs will light up.

To switch off: Press and hold the power button (7) again for 1.5 seconds. The loudspeaker will turn off with a beep.


How does the Auto-Off feature on the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO work?

The TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO will switch off automatically after 15 minutes without an input signal to save power. The automatic switch-off time (Auto Off) can be adjusted via the Teufel Go app.


How do I manage Bluetooth connections on the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO?

Coupling (Pairing) a Device

1. Activate the Bluetooth® function on your audio source (e.g., smartphone).

2. Press and hold the Bluetooth® button (8) on the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO for 1.5 seconds. A signal tone will sound and the LED in the button (8) will flash blue, indicating pairing mode is active.

3. Search for Bluetooth® devices on your audio source and select “ROCKSTER NEO” from the list.

4. A signal tone will sound and the LED in button (8) will light up continuously blue, indicating the pairing is complete and the device is connected.

Disconnecting a Bluetooth® Connection

Deactivate the Bluetooth® function on your audio source. A signal tone will sound, confirming the disconnection.

Changing Between Two Connected Bluetooth® Devices

If two Bluetooth® devices are connected to the loudspeaker at the same time, you can switch playback between them. Press the Bluetooth® button (8) twice. The button will flash blue once, and the active Bluetooth® device will be changed.

Deleting the Bluetooth® List

To clear the list of paired devices, press and hold the Bluetooth® button (8) for 8 seconds. A signal tone will sound, confirming the list has been deleted.


What are the advanced functions available for the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO?

The following advanced functions are available for the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO, which can be controlled via the Teufel Go app:

How do I control music playback on the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO?

You can control playback using the Play/Pause button (10).

Start playback: Start playback via the connected source (Bluetooth®, LINE, INSTRUMENT, MIC).

Pause/Mute: Press the button (10) once. Playback will be paused (for Bluetooth sources) or muted (for LINE, INSTRUMENT, MIC sources).

Resume playback: Press the button (10) again. Playback continues or muting is cancelled.

Play the next track: Press the button (10) twice.

Adjusting the Volume

• To decrease the volume, press the minus button (9). To decrease it faster, press and hold the button.

Note: The volume setting of the audio source also affects the overall volume. Set the volume of your audio source as high as possible for best results.

Setting the Input Signal Level

The signal level LEDs (17 for Input 1, 20 for Input 2) and gain controllers (16 for Input 1, 19 for Input 2) help you set the optimal input level to avoid overmodulation (clipping).

Signal level LED off / flashing white: The audio level is too low. Increase the audio level of your source device and/or the gain controller until the signal level LED lights up continuously white.

Signal level LED red / flashing red: The audio level is too high and may cause clipping. Reduce the audio level of your source device and/or the gain controllers until the signal level LED lights up white.

Outdoor sound mode on the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO adapts the sound for outdoor use. It reduces deep bass while accentuating upper bass tones and mid to high frequencies to ensure the sound remains powerful and present, even in open spaces.

To activate: Press the Outdoor sound mode button (12). The LED in the button will light up continuously white.

Activating Party Link

1. Connect an external audio source to the first loudspeaker (the broadcaster) via Bluetooth®.

2. On the broadcaster speaker, press and hold the Party Link button (13) for 1.5 seconds. The button will flash purple, and the Party Link LEDs (6) will flash white. The broadcaster is now in pairing mode.

3. Switch on another loudspeaker (the receiver). Ensure it does not have an active Bluetooth® connection.

4. On the receiver speaker, press and hold the Party Link button (13) for 1.5 seconds. The button (13) and Party Link LEDs (6) on the receiver will light up white.

5. The receiver is now connected to the broadcaster. All paired loudspeakers will play back the same content. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to connect more speakers.

Deactivating Party Link

Press and hold the Party Link button (13) for 1.5 seconds on any of the speakers. Pairing will be cancelled, and Party Link mode will be deactivated on that loudspeaker.


How do I use the Party Link Stereo function with two TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO speakers?

Activating Party Link Stereo

1. Connect an external audio source to the first loudspeaker via Bluetooth®.

2. On the first loudspeaker, press the Party Link button (13) twice. The button (13) will flash yellow, and the Party Link LEDs (6) will flash white. Pairing mode is now activated.

3. Switch on the second loudspeaker.

4. On the second loudspeaker, press the Party Link button (13) twice.

5. The connection is established. The first Party Link LED (6) on the first speaker (channel L) lights up white. The second Party Link LED (6) on the second speaker (channel R) lights up white. The TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO speakers are now operating in stereo L/R mode.

Changing the L/R Configuration

• Press the Party Link button (13) once on either speaker. Stereo L/R will change to Stereo R/L.

• Press the button (13) again to switch back to Stereo L/R.

Deactivating Party Link Stereo

Press the Party Link button (13) twice on either speaker. The loudspeakers will be unpaired, and stereo playback will stop.


How do I set up a Party Link Wired connection with multiple TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO speakers?

In MASTER COMPANION mode, several TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO speakers can be connected via an XLR cable.

Setting up the Connection

1. Connect an external audio source to the first loudspeaker (MASTER) via Bluetooth or a wired input.

2. On the MASTER speaker, press the Party Link button (13) three times. The button (13) will light up green, activating Wired Mode and the LINE/COMPANION OUT (25) socket.

3. Connect an XLR cable to the LINE/COMPANION OUT socket (25) on the MASTER speaker.

4. Connect the other end of the XLR cable to one of the XLR combination sockets (23 or 24) on the second loudspeaker (COMPANION).

How do I manage the battery of the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO?

Charging the Battery

The integrated rechargeable battery starts charging as soon as the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO is connected to a mains socket. During charging, the battery status LEDs (4) on the top panel will light up vibrantly. A fully charged battery allows for an operating time of approximately 37 hours at medium volume.

Displaying the Charge Level

On the loudspeaker: Briefly press the power button (7). The battery status LEDs (4) will indicate the current charge level.

On the battery itself: Press the charge level button (15) on the battery pack. The battery status LEDs (14) on the battery will indicate the current charge level.

The number of lit LEDs indicates the approximate charge:

Removing and Inserting the Battery

Removing:

1. Press down the unlocking devices (29) on the battery cover (28) and take the cover off.

2. Detach the Velcro fastener (30).

3. Hold the loop (31) and pull to remove the battery from the loudspeaker.

Inserting:

1. Place the battery (2) onto the runners and slide it into the loudspeaker until it engages in position.

2. Attach the Velcro fastener (30).

3. Insert the battery cover (28) into the guide at the bottom and lock it in position. It must lock noticeably and audibly.


What is ECO mode on the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO and how do I use it?

When ECO mode is activated on your TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO, power consumption is reduced to extend the battery life. In this mode, the maximum achievable volume is reduced, and playback of frequency ranges with high power requirements is limited.

To activate: Press and hold the Outdoor/ECO mode button (12) for 4 seconds. ECO mode is activated, and the LED in the button (12) lights up green.

To deactivate: Press the ECO button (12) again. ECO mode is deactivated, and the LED in the button (12) goes out.

The USB-C port (22) on the back of the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO serves as a power bank connection to charge devices like smartphones.

1. Connect a USB-C cable to the USB-C port (22).

2. Connect the other end of the cable to the device you want to charge.

The charging voltage is 5V at a maximum of 2 amps. Note that using the power bank function will shorten the operating time of the loudspeaker when on battery power.

Requirements for charging:

During mains operation: The loudspeaker must be connected to a suitable mains socket and switched on.

During battery operation: The loudspeaker must be switched on with a battery level of at least 30%, OR be in standby mode with a battery level of at least 30%.


How should I clean and store my TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO?

Cleaning

1. Remove dust and light contamination with a dry leather cloth.

2. Remove stubborn stains with a cloth slightly moistened with mild soapy water.

Storage

If storing the TEUFEL ROCKSTER NEO for a longer period (e.g., in winter):
