What are the operating instructions for the SUNBEAM MIXMASTER HERITAGE 2353?
After selecting and inserting the proper attachments and placing the bowl on the turntable, plug the mixer cord into an outlet. Turn the Speed Control Dial to the ON and OFF for selecting your desired mixing speed, starting with speed 1 and increasing to desired speed setting. See the Mixing Guide for assistance.
Rotate the speed control dial in either direction to increase or decrease mixing speed. The dial includes numbers as a guide for approximate mixing speeds.
The MIXMASTER Heritage Series mixer is equipped with a soft-start feature. The LED indicator on the top of the mixer head will illuminate to indicate an approved speed. If the unit stalls, the LED will flash.
During use, the top of the mixer head may become warm to the touch. This is normal.
Note: Do not scrape the bowl while the mixer is in operation. To maximize the mixing of all ingredients, it may be necessary to periodically scrape the bowl with a rubber spatula to ensure that all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
How does the speed control dial on the SUNBEAM MIXMASTER HERITAGE 2353 work?
Please keep in mind that the different mixing tasks and colored speed bands on the Speed Control Dial vary with each recipe. Therefore, speed settings may vary.
Most recipes should be mixed at the lowest speed until the ingredients are well blended. Then, begin building from there to the appropriate speed range called for by the particular recipe.
When folding ingredients such as nuts, raisins, and chocolate chips into batters and doughs, use the lowest speed setting on the mixer for a short amount of time.
When building up to a recipe that requires the addition of dry ingredients, such as flour, followed by liquids, it is helpful to add the dry and wet ingredients in parts. To do this, alternate between one-half of the dry and one-half of the liquid ingredients, always ending with the dry ingredients. Start at the slowest speed, and increase the speed to the speed specified by the particular mixing task.
