You can refer to the Help Guide on the TV screen for settings, functions, Internet connection, and troubleshooting. To open it, follow these steps:

1. Press the (Input) button on the remote control.

2. Select [Help].

3. If [Help] does not exist, select [Edit] and add [Help].

The labels for the TV Model No. and Power Supply rating are located on the rear of the TV. The model and serial numbers are located at the side and/or rear of the TV.

Sony strongly recommends taking measures to prevent the TV from toppling over. You should secure the TV to a wall and/or Stand. Consider the following measures:

1. Secure the Stand for the TV:

Make sure the Stand can adequately support the weight of the TV. Use two angle braces (not supplied) to secure the Stand. Attach one side of the angle brace to the wall stud and the other side to the Stand.

2. Secure the TV to the Stand:

Use the optional hardware listed below (not supplied):

• M6 machine screws (screwed into the TV’s rear cover).
• A screw or similar (attach it to the Stand).
• Rope or chain (strong enough to support the weight of the TV). Make sure that there is no excess slack in the rope or chain.

3. Anchor the TV to the wall:

Anchor the TV to the wall by using bolts, wall anchor, and chain (or rope). M6 eye bolts (not supplied) should be used in the top VESA holes. The length of the M6 machine screw differs depending on the rope or chain diameter (10 mm – 12 mm).

Follow these four steps to get the most out of your TV:

1. Set: Remove all accessories from the packaging before setting up your TV.

2. Source: Upgrade your signal or content source to high-definition (4K). Use Premium High Speed HDMI cables. Connect HD-quality antenna directly to the back of the TV for over-the-air broadcasts.

3. Sound: Complete the experience with a BRAVIA Sync surround sound system or A/V receiver.

4. Setup: Install your TV and connect your sources.

• Power: Display TV channel list or switch to input.
• Quick settings (Gear icon): Display Quick Settings.
• Input (Arrow in box): Display and select the input source, etc.
• 123 (Control menu): Display the Control menu.
• Arrow Keys / Enter: On screen menu navigation and selection.
• Back: Return to the previous screen.
• Home: Return to the Home screen.
• Google Assistant / Microphone: Use Google Assistant (requires Internet connection).
• Volume (+ / -): Adjust volume.
• Mute: Mute sound. Press and hold for accessibility shortcut.
• CH (+ / -): Select the channel.
• Play / Pause: Control media playback.
• Guide: Display the digital program guide of TV or Cable/Satellite box (setup required).
• App buttons: Launch specific applications directly.

To enable the built-in MIC, press the Built-in MIC Switch on the TV to turn it on. Then, press the Google Assistant button on the remote control and follow the on-screen instructions. Note that power consumption will increase when the built-in MIC is enabled as it is always listening.

• Point your remote control directly at the IR sensor located on your TV.
• Make sure that no objects are blocking the path between the remote control and the IR sensor on your TV.
• Fluorescent lamps can interfere with your remote control; try turning off the fluorescent lamps.
• If you are having problems with the remote control, reinsert or replace your batteries and make sure that they are correctly inserted.

Before installing the Wall-Mount Bracket (not supplied), prepare the TV with the following steps:

1. Remove the screws from the rear of the TV.

2. Attach the Wall-Mount Attachment (supplied with the TV) to the rear of the TV to make it parallel with the wall.

3. Attach the Wall-Mount Bracket (not supplied) using the screws (not supplied). Note that the length of the screw for the Wall-Mount Bracket differs depending on the bracket thickness (refer to instruction manual illustration, generally 10 mm – 12 mm).

The wall-mount hole pattern for the SONY BRAVIA KD-43X80K is 200 x 200 mm.

To detach the stand (for example, to mount the TV on a wall):

1. Remove one side of the Table-Top Stand at a time. Firmly hold the Table-Top Stand securely with both hands while other people lift up the TV.

2. Repeat the previous step and remove the other side of the Table-Top Stand.

Notes:

• Three or more people are required to detach the Table-Top Stand.
• Be careful not to use excessive force while detaching the stand to avoid damage or injury.
• Be sure the TV is vertical before turning it on. Do not power on the TV with the LCD panel facing down.

If you experience issues like a black screen, no sound, frozen picture, or network loss, follow these general troubleshooting steps:

1. Restart your TV: Press the power button on the remote control for about five seconds. The TV will restart. If it does not recover, try unplugging the AC power cord, then press the power button on the TV and release it. Wait for two minutes, and plug in the AC power cord. Alternatively, press the power button on the TV for about 40 seconds until the TV turns off.

2. Check the Help menu: Press Input on the remote and select Help.

3. Update Software: Connect your TV to the Internet and perform a software update.

4. Perform a Factory Data Reset: If the issue persists, reset the TV to factory settings.

You can reset the TV to factory settings by selecting [Factory data reset] in the settings menu. If you are unable to access the menu, you can force a factory data reset:

1. Unplug the AC power cord.

2. Press and hold the Power button on the TV.

3. While holding the button, plug in the AC power cord.

Warning: The reset will clear all of your customized settings including the parental lock setting.

If you have forgotten the parental lock password, enter 4357 for the PIN and then enter your new PIN.
