Please follow these care and safety precautions for your SMARTAB ST7-SM:

• Service should only be provided by an authorized service provider.

• To clean the tablet, please disconnect the AC adapter and wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.

• Avoid spilling any liquid on the tablet.

• Do not place the tablet on an uneven or unstable surface.

• Do not insert any foreign objects into the vents or other openings of the tablet.

• Unplug all cables and turn off the tablet before cleaning.

• The SMARTAB ST7-SM is not waterproof, keep it away from moisture.

• Use the tablet in a well-ventilated area.

• Do not use household cleaners, solvents, alcohol, or abrasives to clean the tablet.

• If the screen is broken, do not touch the glass fragments. Avoid touching the liquid. If the liquid comes into contact with your eyes, skin, or clothes, wash with water immediately and seek medical advice.

• The tablet may get warm during use. This is normal.

• Do not use or store the tablet in direct sunlight, high temperature, or humid places.

• Children pulling on the cord could cause the computer monitor or other equipment to which the device is connected to fall, with the possibility of property damage, serious injury, or death.

• Adult supervision is required during use.

• To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.

The buttons, ports, and hardware on the SMARTAB ST7-SM are as follows:

The SMARTAB ST7-SM supports Micro SD cards up to 64GB (not included).

To install a Micro SD card into the tablet, carefully insert the card as shown into the card slot until it clicks and locks into place. To remove the Micro SD card, gently press it inward to eject.

Connect the SMARTAB ST7-SM to the computer using the included USB cable. While the tablet is powered on and connected to a computer, you can transfer files by selecting “SmarTab” from your computer’s file explorer.

Connect the SMARTAB ST7-SM to a wall outlet using the included AC adapter and USB cable. When charging, the lightning indicator will appear over the battery icon.

• Turn off Wi-Fi when it’s not in use.

• Connect to an AC outlet to charge; turn the device off to shorten charging time.

• To optimize battery time and performance, adjust the ‘Brightness’ and ‘Screen timeout’ options in Settings.

Turning on the tablet:

Press and hold the Power button until the startup screen appears.

Power off the tablet:

Press and hold the Power button until the “Power off” options appear.

Lock the tablet (standby):

Briefly press the Power button. Locking the tablet helps to conserve the battery.

Unlock the tablet:

Briefly press the Power button, and slide the “Lock icon” to the right.

Step 1. Press and hold the Power button to get started.

Step 2. Follow the initial setup wizard prompts.

Step 3. To use the Google Play Store, sign into or create a Google account. If you use Gmail, you already have a Google account. If not, you can create an account.

To access Notifications, swipe down from the top left of the Home Screen. To access Quick Settings, swipe down from the top right of the Home Screen.

To add a widget or change the wallpaper, press and hold anywhere on the Home Screen and select the desired option. Press and hold widgets to place them on the Home Screen.

From the Home Screen, select the circle icon to view all apps. You can slide left or right for more apps screens. To go back to the Home Screen, tap the home icon at the bottom of the screen.

To set up Wi-Fi or connect the SMARTAB ST7-SM to a Bluetooth device, swipe down on the top right of the home screen to access the Quick Settings panel. From there you can manage your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections.

The SMARTAB ST7-SM comes pre-installed with Net Nanny software. Follow these steps to set it up:

Step 1. Swipe down on the top right of the Home Screen to access the Quick Settings panel.

Step 2. Select the Net Nanny quick settings toggle.

Step 3. Press Continue to set up the account.

Step 4. Create an account. The password is necessary to manage the Net Nanny software.

Step 5. Once the account is created, the Net Nanny software will be activated.

Step 6. When done installing, a message will be displayed confirming that Net Nanny has been registered.

Step 7. On the Apps Screen, select the Net Nanny icon to safely browse the web.

Net Nanny can be enabled or disabled with a password. Follow these steps:

Step 1. Swipe down on the top right of the Home Screen to access the Quick Settings panel.

Step 2. Select the Net Nanny quick settings toggle.

Step 3. Select Continue.

Step 4. Tap Admin, enter the password, and select Continue.

Step 5. To disable, slide the toggle to the left. To enable, ensure the toggle is to the right.

To re-enable Net Nanny:

Step 1. Swipe down on the top right of the Home Screen to access the Quick Settings panel.

Step 2. Select the Net Nanny quick settings toggle.

Step 3. Net Nanny will be enabled, the icon will appear on the apps screen, and other web browsers will be blocked.

When the Net Nanny software is activated on your SMARTAB ST7-SM, it will block access to the settings panel and other web browsers such as Google Chrome. When Net Nanny is disabled, the icon will not appear on the Apps Screen.

Follow these steps to access Child Mode:

Step 1. Swipe down on the top right of the Home Screen to access the Quick Settings panel.

Step 2. Select Child Mode, and the Child Mode home screen appears.

Note: You will be asked to create a password upon first use. This password will prevent your child from exiting Child Mode.

Not all apps are available in Child Mode by default. Use Parental Controls to enable or disable apps:

Step 1. In Child Mode, tap the Parental Controls icon.

Step 2. Enter the password you created earlier.

Step 3. Select “Manage Apps”.

Step 4. Select the apps you want to enable or disable.

Step 5. Press the Home or Previous buttons to save changes and exit.

Disabled apps are not available on the Child Mode Apps screen.

To exit Child Mode:

Step 1. Tap the Parental Controls icon.

Step 2. Enter the password.

Step 3. Select Exit Child Mode.

Key points about Child Mode on the SMARTAB ST7-SM:

• Google Play is disabled (hidden) by default and in-app purchases may be blocked by default in games for young children.

• New apps downloaded from Google Play are disabled (hidden) by default.
