The safety symbols and their meanings are as follows:

Operator’s Manual: Read the manual before use.

Toxic Fumes: Engine exhaust contains poisonous gas. Operate outdoors only.

Kickback: The spray gun can kick back, potentially causing injury or a fall.

Moving Parts: Can entangle hands, hair, or clothing.

Flying Objects: Spray can propel objects, causing injury.

Chemical Burn: Chemicals used with the washer can cause burns.

Hot Surface: The muffler area becomes very hot and can cause burns.

POISONOUS GAS HAZARD:

Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a poisonous gas that can kill you in minutes. You CANNOT smell it, see it, or taste it.

Operate this product ONLY outside, far away from windows, doors, and vents.

DO NOT run this product inside homes, garages, sheds, or other partially-enclosed spaces.

ALWAYS place this product downwind and point the engine exhaust away from occupied spaces.

If you feel sick, dizzy, or weak, get to fresh air RIGHT AWAY and see a doctor.

FLUID INJECTION HAZARD:

The high-pressure stream of water can cut through skin and underlying tissues, resulting in serious injury and possible amputation. Spray gun traps high water pressure even when the engine is stopped.

If cut by fluid, call a physician immediately. DO NOT treat as a simple cut.

NEVER aim the spray gun at people, animals, or plants.

ALWAYS point the spray gun in a safe direction, press the red button, and squeeze the trigger to release high pressure every time you stop the engine.

FUEL AND FIRE HAZARD:

Fuel and its vapors are extremely flammable and explosive.

Turn the engine OFF and let it cool for at least 2 minutes before removing the fuel cap.

Fill or drain the fuel tank outdoors. Do not overfill.

Keep fuel away from sparks, open flames, and other ignition sources.

Exhaust heat/gases can ignite combustibles. Keep at least 5 ft. (1.5 m) of clearance on all sides of the pressure washer, including overhead.

RISK OF EYE INJURY:

Spray could splash back or propel objects.

Always wear indirect vented (chemical splash) safety goggles marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1.

STARTER CORD KICKBACK:

Rapid retraction of the starter cord will pull your hand and arm toward the engine faster than you can let go, which can cause serious injury.

NEVER pull the starter cord without first relieving spray gun pressure.

When starting, pull the cord slowly until resistance is felt, then pull rapidly to avoid kickback.

Attach Handle and Accessory Tray:

1. Slide the accessory tray (A) over the handle supports (B) connected to the main unit.

2. Push the large tree clips (C) into the holes until they sit flat against the accessory tray.

3. Place the handle (D) onto the handle supports. Make sure the holes in the handle align with the holes on the handle supports.

4. Insert the handle carriage bolts (E) through the holes from inside the unit and attach a plastic knob (F) from the outside. Tighten by hand.

5. Place the billboard (A) over the holes (B) on the handle. Push the small tree clips (C) into the holes until they sit flat against the accessory tray.

6. Insert the spray gun holder wireform (D) through the hole on the handle and attach a plastic knob (E). Tighten by hand.

Connect Detergent Siphon Hose:

1. Attach the tube end of the blue PerfectMix siphon (F) to the barbed tube fitting (G) on the pump.

2. Place the Perfect Mix bottle (H) (not included) in the spaces of the accessory tray.

3. Remove the cap from the bottle and insert the Perfect Mix siphon (F). Screw the siphon unit to the top of the bottle.

Add Engine Oil:

1. Place the pressure washer on a flat, level surface.

2. Clean the area around the oil fill and remove the yellow oil fill cap/dipstick.

3. Slowly pour the contents of the supplied oil pouch into the oil fill opening. Check the oil level frequently, filling to the FULL mark (top hole) on the dipstick. DO NOT overfill.

4. Pause to permit oil to settle. Wipe the dipstick clean each time the oil level is checked.

5. Replace the oil fill cap/dipstick and fully tighten.

Add Fuel:

Fuel must meet these requirements:

Clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline.

A minimum of 87 octane/87 AKI (91 RON).

Gasoline with up to 10% ethanol (gasohol) is acceptable. DO NOT use unapproved gasoline such as E15 and E85.

Follow these safety steps when adding fuel:

1. Turn the pressure washer engine OFF and let it cool for at least 2 minutes before removing the fuel cap.

2. Slowly add regular unleaded fuel to the fuel tank outdoors. Be careful not to overfill. To allow for fuel expansion, do not fill above the bottom of the fuel tank neck.

3. Install the fuel cap and wait for any spilled fuel to evaporate before starting the engine.

4. Keep fuel away from sparks, open flames, pilot lights, heat, and other ignition sources.

NOTICE: ALWAYS apply a small amount of lubricant (petroleum or synthetic grease) on o-rings prior to assembling hoses and accessories to ensure a proper seal and extend o-ring life.

1. Uncoil the high pressure hose and attach one end to the base of the spray gun. Tighten by hand.

2. Attach the other end of the high pressure hose to the high pressure outlet on the pump. Tighten by hand.

3. Before connecting the garden hose to the water inlet, inspect the inlet screen (A). Clean the screen if it contains debris or have it replaced if damaged. DO NOT run the pressure washer if the inlet screen is damaged or missing.

4. Run water through the garden hose for 30 seconds to flush it of debris. Turn off the water. Use ONLY cold water (less than 100°F).

5. Connect the garden hose (not to exceed 50 ft. in length) to the water inlet. Tighten by hand.

6. Turn ON the water, press the red button (B) on the gun and squeeze the trigger to purge the pump system of air and impurities.

Review the unit to ensure you have performed all of the following:

1. Be sure to read the Safety Rules and Operation sections before using the pressure washer.

2. Make sure the handle is in place and secure.

3. Check that oil has been added to the proper level in the engine crankcase.

4. Add proper fuel to the fuel tank.

5. Check for proper hose connections (high pressure and water supply) and that there are no kinks, cuts, or damage to the high pressure hose.

6. Provide a proper water supply (not to exceed 100°F).

1. Place the pressure washer outside near a water source capable of supplying water at a flow rate greater than 3.5 gallons per minute and no less than 20 PSI at the pressure washer end of the garden hose. Ensure the unit is on a level position.

2. Check that the high pressure hose is tightly connected to the spray gun and pump.

3. Connect the garden hose to the water inlet on the pressure washer pump.

4. Turn ON the water, press the red button on the gun and squeeze the trigger to purge the pump system of air and impurities.

5. Attach the nozzle extension to the spray gun. Tighten by hand.

6. Pull back on the collar of the nozzle extension, insert the selector nozzle, and release the collar. Tug on the selector nozzle to make sure it is securely in place.

7. Push the engine rocker switch (A) to the ON (I) position.

8. This unit is equipped with a ReadyStart® engine, so no priming or choking is required.

9. When starting the engine, position yourself as recommended, grasp the starter grip handle, and pull slowly until you feel some resistance. Then pull rapidly to start the engine.

10. Return the recoil starter slowly. DO NOT let the rope “snap back” against the starter.

11. Point the spray gun in a safe direction, push the red button to release the trigger lock, and pull the trigger.

1. Release the spray gun trigger and let the engine idle for two minutes.

2. Push the engine rocker switch to the OFF (0) position.

3. ALWAYS point the spray gun in a safe direction, push the red button, and squeeze the spray gun trigger to release retained high water pressure.

To change nozzle patterns:

1. Push the button on the selector nozzle; the nozzle dial will pop up.

2. Turn the dial until the desired spray pattern lines up with the button on the selector nozzle.

3. Push the dial in until it locks into place.

Spray Patterns:

MAX (3100 PSI / 2.1 GPM): For stubborn or hard-to-reach surfaces, paint removal, oil stains, etc.

GENERAL (2800 PSI / 2.4 GPM): For most all-purpose cleaning like siding, patios, decks, etc.

DELICATE (2400 PSI / 2.5 GPM): For gentle cleaning of cars, boats, RVs, patio furniture, etc.

FLUSH (LOW PRESSURE): For quick high-flow clean up and long-reach cleaning.

SOAP (APPLY SOAP): For general soap applications.

Usage Tips:

For most effective cleaning, keep the selector nozzle from 8 to 24 inches away from the cleaning surface.

Getting too close with a high-pressure pattern may damage the surface.

DO NOT get closer than 6 inches when cleaning tires.

To Apply Detergent:

1. Attach the PerfectMix siphon hose to the pump and the PerfectMix concentrate bottle.

2. Make sure the SOAP spray pattern is selected on the selector nozzle. Detergent cannot be applied with the MAX, GENERAL, DELICATE, or FLUSH spray patterns.

3. Make sure the garden hose is connected to the water inlet and the high pressure hose is connected to the spray gun and pump. Turn on the water.

4. Start the engine following the “How to Start Your Pressure Washer” instructions.

5. Apply detergent to a dry surface, starting at the lower portion and working upward in long, even, overlapping strokes.

6. Allow the detergent to “soak in” for 3-5 minutes before washing and rinsing. Reapply as needed to prevent the surface from drying. DO NOT allow detergent to dry on, as this can cause streaking.

For Rinsing:

1. Select the desired spray pattern (e.g., GENERAL) on the selector nozzle.

2. Keep the spray gun a safe distance from the area you plan to spray.

3. Apply a high-pressure spray to a small area first to check for surface damage. If no damage is found, continue cleaning.

4. Start at the top of the area to be rinsed, working down with the same overlapping strokes used for applying detergent.

If you run the engine on your pressure washer for 3-5 minutes without pressing the trigger on the spray gun, circulating water in the pump can reach temperatures above 125°F. The system engages to cool the pump by discharging the warm water onto the ground. This system prevents internal pump damage.

*This pressure washer is rated in accordance to the Pressure Washer Manufacturers Association (PWMA) standard PW101-2010.

Follow the hourly or calendar intervals, whichever occurs first. More frequent service is required when operating in adverse conditions.

Before Each Use:

1. Check engine oil level.

2. Clean debris.

3. Check water inlet screen for damage.

4. Check high pressure hose for leaks.

5. Check gun and nozzle extension assembly for leaks.

6. Purge pump of air and contaminants.

Clean Debris:

Daily or before use, clean accumulated debris from the pressure washer. Keep the area around and behind the muffler free from any combustible debris. Use a damp cloth to wipe exterior surfaces. Use a soft bristle brush to loosen caked-on dirt.

Check and Clean Inlet Screen:

Examine the garden hose inlet screen. Clean it if it is clogged or replace it if it is torn.

Check High Pressure Hose:

Inspect the hose before each use for cuts, leaks, abrasions, bulging of cover, or damage to couplings. If any of these conditions exist, replace the hose immediately. NEVER repair a high pressure hose.

Check Detergent Siphoning Tube:

Examine the filter on the detergent tube and clean if clogged. The tube should fit tightly on the barbed fitting. Examine the tube for leaks or tears and replace if damaged.

Selector Nozzle Maintenance:

If you feel a pulsing sensation while squeezing the trigger, the nozzle may be clogged.

1. Shut OFF the engine and turn off the water supply. Release retained pressure.

2. Remove the selector nozzle from the end of the nozzle extension.

3. Use a small paper clip to free any foreign material clogging each nozzle.

4. Remove the nozzle extension from the spray gun and backflush it with a garden hose for 30-60 seconds.

5. Reinstall the parts, turn on the water, and test the pressure washer.

Changing Engine Oil: An oil change is not required, but if you want to change the oil:

1. Change oil while the engine is still warm. Drain the fuel tank by running the pressure washer until it is empty.

2. Disconnect the spark plug wire.

3. Clean the area around the oil fill, then remove the oil fill cap/dipstick.

4. Tip the pressure washer to drain the oil from the oil fill into a suitable container.

5. Slowly pour recommended oil (about 20 oz.) into the oil fill opening to the FULL mark on the dipstick. DO NOT overfill.

6. Replace and tighten the dipstick and reconnect the spark plug wire.

Servicing the Air Cleaner:

1. Pull the latch and open the air cleaner cover.

2. Carefully remove the foam air cleaner (C) to prevent debris from falling into the carburetor.

3. Wash the foam air cleaner in liquid detergent and water. Squeeze it dry in a clean cloth.

4. SATURATE the foam air cleaner in engine oil and squeeze it in a clean cloth to remove excess oil.

5. Reinstall the foam air cleaner in the base (D), then close the cover and resecure the latch.

Servicing the Spark Plug:

1. Clean the area around the spark plug, then remove and inspect it.

2. Replace the spark plug if the electrodes are pitted, burned, or the porcelain is cracked.

3. Check the electrode gap with a wire feeler gauge and reset it to the recommended gap (0.020 in) if necessary.

4. Install the spark plug and tighten firmly.

Water should not remain in the unit for long periods. Follow these procedures after every use:

1. Shut OFF the engine, turn off the water supply, and point the gun in a safe direction. Press the red button and squeeze the trigger to relieve trapped pressure and let the engine cool.

2. Disconnect the hose from the spray gun and the high pressure outlet on the pump. Drain water from the hose, gun, and nozzle extension. Use a rag to wipe off the hose.

3. Empty the pump of all pumped liquids by pulling the recoil handle about 6 times. This should remove most of the liquid in the pump.

4. Place the spray gun, nozzle extension, and selector nozzle in the accessory tray. Hang the high pressure hose on the hook of the accessory tray.

5. Store the unit in a clean, dry area.

Winter Storage (Protecting from Freezing):

You must protect your unit from freezing temperatures. Freeze damage is not covered under warranty.

1. Follow the “After Each Use” procedures.

2. Use a pump saver to treat the pump. This minimizes freeze damage and lubricates pistons and seals.

3. If a pump saver is not available, connect a 3-foot section of garden hose to the water inlet adapter. Pour RV-antifreeze (without alcohol) into the hose. Pull the recoil handle twice. Disconnect the hose.

4. Store the unit in a clean, dry area.

Long Term Storage (More than 30 days):

Protect Fuel System:

To prevent gum deposits, treat the fuel with a fuel stabilizer. Add the stabilizer to fresh fuel in the tank and run the engine for 2 minutes to circulate it through the system.

If the fuel is not treated, it must be drained into an approved container. Run the engine until it stops from lack of fuel.
