For the best shaving performance, it is recommended that you use your new REMINGTON F7790 shaver daily for up to four weeks to allow time for your beard and skin to become accustomed to the new shaving system.

1. Ensure the product is switched off.

2. For the REMINGTON F7790, place your shaver in the charging stand.

3. Connect the charging adaptor to the stand and then to the mains.

4. When using for the first time, charge for at least 24 hours.

5. After the shaver batteries are fully charged, the LCD display will indicate the shaver is fully charged.

6. Use the product until the battery is low. This is indicated by the digital display.

7. To maintain battery condition, fully recharge the REMINGTON F7790 every 6 months.

A full charge takes around 2 hours (120 minutes) and provides 60 minutes of shaving time. The shaver adapts automatically to a mains voltage between 100V and 240V.

Yes, you can use the REMINGTON F7790 for corded use. Connect the shaver to the adapter, then to the mains and recharge for 5 minutes before using.
CAUTION: Extended mains-only use will result in the reduction of the battery life.

1. Make sure your shaver is properly charged.

2. Begin by removing the protective head guard from your shaver.

3. Switch the shaver on.

4. First, slide the pop-up trimmer up to remove any long hair. Then slide it down when finished.

5. Stretch the skin with your free hand so the hairs stand upright.

6. Hold the shaving head so all foils touch your skin simultaneously. The independently floating foils will automatically adjust to the contours of your face.

7. Only apply light pressure on the shaving head while shaving and use short, circular strokes.

8. After shaving, turn the shaver off.

9. To shave without the head pivoting system, slide the trimmer up to the first position.

Completely retracted (down): The trimmer is out of the way and off, for when you want to use the screens alone. Press the trimmer button down with your thumb to get it into this position.

In the middle position: The trimmer locks the pivoting head.

Fully extended (up): The trimmer can be used to trim your sideburns and moustache. It can also work with the screens, cutting the longer, hard-to-shave hairs so the screens can get extra close.

Ensure your skin is dry. Always hold the shaver at right angles to the skin so that both foils are touching the skin with equal pressure. Use moderate to slow stroking movements. The use of short circular motions in stubborn areas may obtain a closer shave, especially along the neck and chin line. DO NOT hold the shaver at an angle whereby only one foil is touching the skin, as this will distort the foil and may cause the cutters to damage it. DO NOT press hard against the skin in order to avoid damage to the foil.

To ensure long-lasting performance, we recommend you clean your REMINGTON F7790 after each use. The easiest and most hygienic way is by rinsing the product head after use with warm water. Always keep the protective cap on the shaving head and keep the trimmer in the “off” position when the shaver is not in use.

1. Pull the foil assembly up to remove from the hair pocket.

2. Thoroughly blow out the stubble from the foils and cutters.

3. Use the cleaning brush to sweep out the cutters. Do not use the cleaning brush on the foils as damage may occur to the holes of the foils.

4. Replace the head assembly.

2. Foils: Do not use the brush to clean the foils. Instead, blow the shavings out or rinse the foils under cold or warm water.

3. Cutters & Trimmers: Use the cleaning brush to sweep any loose hairs from the cutter and trimmer. Rinse them in cold or warm water. Do not use hot water.

4. Do not submerge the shaver in water.

5. After cleaning, replace the head assembly.

CAUTION:

Do not clean the shaving foil with the brush.

Do not remove or replace the head assembly while the shaver is running as it may cause damage to the unit’s foils and cutters.

To clean the external surfaces of the shaver, use a damp cloth. Do not use strong detergents or other chemicals.

To dry, wipe the surface of the shaver with a dry towel.

To ensure the continued highest quality performance from your REMINGTON F7790 shaver, we recommend that foils and cutters are replaced regularly. Signs that your foils and cutters need replacing include:

Irritation: As foils get worn, you may experience skin irritation.

Pulling: As the cutters wear, your shave may not feel as close and you may feel your cutter pulling your hair.

Wear through: You may notice that the cutters have worn through the foils.

To Replace the Foil:

1. Pull the foil assembly up to remove from the hair pocket.

2. Insert the new foil assembly in the hair pocket until it snaps in place.

To Replace the Cutters:

1. Grasp the cutter between your thumb and forefinger and pull upward.

2. Snap both new cutter assemblies into the top of the oscillator tips.

The replacement model for the F6790-F7790 is SP-399.

Note: Do not press on the cutter ends as this may cause damage.

If your REMINGTON F7790 shaver battery is completely empty or the shaver has not been used for an extended period of time, it may not start when operated using the cord. If this occurs, charge the shaver for approximately 15 seconds before shaving. Your shaver should be mainly used in cordless mode and only recharged when the battery charge is low. Extended mains-only use or continuous connection to the mains will result in the reduction of the battery life.

When your rechargeable REMINGTON F7790 shaver reaches the end of its useful life, the batteries must be removed and disposed of properly.

To Remove the Rechargeable Battery:

1. Using a small screwdriver, pry off the front panel.

2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the (4) screws from the front of the shaver, and remove the front housing.

3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the (8) screws from the front of the shaver.

4. Remove and open the core from the shaver to expose the batteries.

5. Cut the wires connecting the batteries to the circuit board.

6. Remove the batteries and dispose of them properly.

CAUTION: Do not put in fire or mutilate your batteries when disposing as they may burst and release toxic materials. Do not short circuit as it may cause burns.
