• Keep the appliance and cable out of reach of children under 8 years.

• WARNING: This appliance is hot. Keep out of reach of children at all times.

• Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins, or other vessels containing water.

• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.

• For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom.

• Do not allow any part of the appliance to touch the face, neck, or scalp.

• Keep the power plug and cord away from heated surfaces.

• Do not leave the appliance unattended while plugged in.

• Do not place the appliance on any soft furnishings.

• Do not use attachments other than those we supply.

• Do not set the appliance down while still on.

• Do not twist or kink the cable, or wrap it around the appliance.

• Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or malfunctions.

If the supply cord of your REMINGTON S9505 straightener becomes damaged, discontinue use immediately and return the appliance to your nearest authorized Remington® service dealer for repair or replacement to avoid a hazard.

The REMINGTON S9505 straightener consists of the following parts:

Follow these steps to use your REMINGTON S9505 straightener:

1. Before use, ensure your hair is clean, dry, and tangle-free. For extra protection, use a heat protection spray. Note that hairsprays contain flammable material, so do not use them while using this product.

2. Section the hair prior to styling. It’s best to style the lower layers first.

3. Plug in the styler and switch it on. When the styler is plugged in but not turned on, a lock symbol will show in the display window, indicating standby mode.

4. Start styling on lower temperatures first. Select the appropriate temperature for your hair type using the +/- controls on the side of the product. ‘+’ increases the temperature, and ‘-’ decreases the temperature.

5. The digital display will stop flashing when the product is ready to use.

6. Working on one section at a time, run the straightener through the entire length of the hair without stopping.

7. Only repeat twice per section to prevent damage to the hair.

8. After use, turn the appliance off and unplug.

9. Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing it away.

Use the following table to select the appropriate temperature for your hair type with the REMINGTON S9505 straightener:

The Temperature Boost Function automatically sets the straightener to its highest temperature. To activate it, hold the ‘+’ button for 2 seconds, and the temperature will boost to 235°C. Please note that the highest temperature is not suitable for every hair type; select a temperature depending on your hair texture.

To use the Temperature Lock Function on your REMINGTON S9505:

• Set the desired temperature by pressing the +/- buttons.

• Lock the temperature controls by pressing and holding the ‘-’ button for 2 seconds. A ‘padlock’ symbol will appear next to the temperature.

• To unlock the temperature controls, press and hold the ‘-’ button again for 2 seconds.

The plates of the REMINGTON S9505 can be shut together for easy storage.

• To lock, push the hinge lock up to the locked position.

• To unlock, pull the hinge lock down to the unlocked position.

NOTE: Do not heat the unit in the locked position.

To clean and maintain your REMINGTON S9505 straightener:

• Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely.

• Wipe all the surfaces with a damp cloth.

• Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
