What basic precautions should always be followed when using this electrical appliance?
Only use this kettle for its intended purpose (Domestic use only).
Do not immerse the kettle or its base into water.

How should the kettle be prepared for first use?
Before you use the kettle for the first time, remove the base from inside, then fill the kettle and boil the water (following instructions for boiling) and empty the water.
How do you clean the washable filter?
This kettle comes with a washable filter. To remove the filter, open the lid and slide the filter upwards. Rinse under clear clean water and return into the kettle.
How do you operate the kettle?
To operate the kettle, simply plug the base into your wall socket and switch on. Fill the kettle up to the desired water level, then place it onto the base. Push the switch (located on the rear back side of the kettle) into the down position. The Red light will come on, indicating that the water is now boiling. The kettle will automatically switch off when the water is boiled.
What is the first step before cleaning the kettle?
Before cleaning, always disconnect from the mains and allow the kettle to cool.
How do you clean the exterior of the kettle?
To clean the exterior, wipe with a soft damp cloth and wipe dry with a soft cloth.

Remove stubborn stains with a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent.
How do you descale the kettle?
From time to time, depending on the nature of your water supply, you may need to clean off the scale on the inside of the Jug Kettle, especially in areas where the water is “Hard Water”. We recommend that you use a well-known branded DESCALER for this. Please follow the descaler instructions when doing this.
