How do I perform the initial setup for my PYLE PRO PPHP1098A speaker system?

Before using your PYLE PRO PPHP1098A, please review the following instructions. Before connecting the speaker, make sure the system is off and the controls are on the minimum level.

1. Plug the power cable into the AC outlet and to the system and speaker.

2. Plug the Microphone into the “MIC” input.

3. Connect your audio source (CD, DECK, MP3, DVD, etc.) to the “LINE IN” input.

4. Turn on the systems. A green LED will light up to indicate the speaker is on.

5. Set the volume to a low level on the MIC and the LINE IN input.

6. Increase the master volume (located on the right side of the LINE OUT connector).

7. Set the TREBLE and BASS controls to equalize the sound.

8. A red LED will light up when the system detects overload power. You must decrease the volume if this occurs.


How can I prevent microphone feedback with my PYLE PRO PPHP1098A?

Do not place the microphone against the speaker. This can cause feedback echo and will damage the system.


How can I connect my PYLE PRO PPHP1098A to another speaker or amplifier?

The 6.3mm and canon connectors marked as LINE OUT can be used to handle an amplifier or even another powered speaker cabinet in a cascade setup. The XLR PARALLEL OUTPUT JACK is used to send the incoming line level signal from either of the line level input jacks to another powered speaker, mixer, or power amp.

What are the functions of the controls and connections on the back of the PYLE PRO PPHP1098A?

1) 1/4″ MIC LEVEL INPUT JACK: This jack is used for a Microphone and line level inputs. You can connect a CD player or Tape Deck to this input.

2) MICROPHONE LINE LEVEL INPUT LEVEL: This knob is used to regulate the output signal of the device connected to the Mic/Line Level jack.

3) BALANCED RCA LINE INPUT: This connection is designed to accept a balanced line input signal from a mixer or other line level device. For signal cable lengths exceeding 15 feet, use a balanced cable to reduce signal loss.

4) BASS CONTROL: This knob regulates the amount of bass applied to the output signal. The maximum bass gain is +8Db and the maximum decrease is -12Db.

5) TREBLE CONTROL: This knob regulates the amount of treble applied to the output signal. The maximum treble gain is +12Db and the maximum decrease is -12Db.

6) LINE LEVEL INPUT VOLUME: This knob is used to regulate the output signal if the line level source is connected to the line level input jacks.

7) XLR PARALLEL OUTPUT JACK: This jack sends the incoming line level signal to another powered speaker, mixer, or power amp.

8) FUSE HOLDER: This housing stores the 7 amp GMA protective fuse. Always replace with the exact same type fuse, unless otherwise instructed by an authorized service technician.

9) CLIP L.E.D: This L.E.D will light up when your Mic, Line Level, or speaker Levels are distorted or too loud, letting you know to adjust your volume level to a lower setting.

10) POWER L.E.D: This L.E.D will be lit when you switch on the power.

11) MAIN POWER SWITCH: This is the main power ON/OFF button. A yellow LED directly above the power switch will glow to indicate power is ON. Before applying main power, ensure you have made all connections to the speaker.

12) MAIN POWER INLET: This connector is used to supply main power to the unit via the included detachable power cord. Use only the supplied polarized AC power cord and connect to a power outlet that matches the printed power label on the unit. Never use a power cord if the ground prong has been removed or broken.


Can I mount the PYLE PRO PPHP1098A on a stand?

Yes, on the bottom of the speaker there is a hole to place a stand. The speaker features a 35mm Speaker Stand Mount.
