Please follow these safety notes when using the PCE INSTRUMENTS PCE-IV 370HR3:

• You should not make any technical changes to the device.

• The appliance should only be cleaned with a damp cloth; use only pH-neutral cleaner without solvents or abrasives.

• The device must only be used with original PCE accessories or equivalent.

• Before each use, please inspect the case for damage. In case of any visible damage, please do not use the device.

• The device must not be used when the environmental conditions (temperature, air humidity, etc.) are outside the limit values stated in the specifications.

• Do not expose the instrument to explosive atmospheres.

• Do not use the endoscope near uninsulated current-carrying conductors.

• The instrument should never be placed with the user interface facing an object (e.g. keyboard side on a table).

• This product has been produced for industrial use only. Do not use it for medical or any other biological purposes.

The general specifications for the PCE INSTRUMENTS PCE-IV 370HR3 main unit are as follows:

To start using your PCE INSTRUMENTS PCE-IV 370HR3, follow these steps:

1. Connect the camera cable to the display unit and screw it tightly. Ensure the indication on the connector is on the upper side.

2. Press and hold the power button for approximately 5 seconds to turn on the device.

3. The display will show the live camera view, SD card capacity, and battery status.

To turn off the device, press and hold the power button for 3 to 5 seconds.

Take a picture:

To take a picture of the current image, simply press the photo button. The picture is automatically stored on the SD card. The device then returns to the standard viewing mode.

Record a video:

To start recording a video, press the video button. An indication will appear on the display. To stop recording, press the video button again. The video is automatically stored on the SD card.

Zoom and Mirror:

During live view, you can press the escape button (ESC) to zoom in (2x digital zoom). If you press and hold the ESC button for a few seconds, the image on the screen will be mirrored.

View Data:

From the standard viewing mode, press the up or down button to enter the playback screen. Use these buttons to navigate through all stored pictures and videos, which are sorted by date of recording.

Delete a Single File:

1. While viewing your files, select the picture or video you want to delete.

2. Press the OK button. A confirmation window will appear.

3. Use the up or down button to choose “Yes” to delete or “No” to cancel.

4. Press the OK button to confirm your selection.

Press the OK button in standard viewing mode to enter the settings menu. You can navigate the following options using the up and down buttons and select with the OK button:

• DELETE ALL FILES: Select this and choose “Yes” to erase all files from the SD card.

• AV OUTPUT: Connect the AV out to an external display, then select this option. The endoscope’s display will turn black, and the image will be shown on the external unit. Press OK again to exit this mode.

• DATE / TIME: Use the up/down buttons to move between year, month, day, hours, minutes, and seconds. Use the photo and video buttons to adjust the values. You can also choose “Yes” or “No” to display the date and time on recordings.

• LANGUAGE: Select your desired language from the list and press OK to confirm.

• TV SYSTEM: Choose between “PAL” and “NTSC” video output formats.

• AUTO POWER OFF: Select a time duration after which the device will automatically shut down if idle.

• Reset: To reset the device to factory default settings, press the physical reset button on the back of the device.

When using the 360° articulating camera head, please mind the following additional safety notes:

• To avoid dangerous situations, make sure the probe does not get in touch with inflammable liquids or gases.

• Do not disassemble the device as this can cause damage and electric shocks.

• To protect the camera module, make sure the protection ring is on the camera head as long as no accessories are in use.

• Do not bend the articulating camera head by hand. Only use the joystick to adjust the angle.

• Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures (use only between 0 and +60 °C), direct sunlight, extreme air humidity or moisture. Store it in a cool, dry, sufficiently ventilated place.

• If you coil up the camera cable for storing, make sure the diameter is at least 15 cm and that the camera head is in a straight position.

• Do not expose the camera head to mechanical strains and stresses.

Hold the device with one hand and use your thumb to operate the joystick and the function keys (Rotation, Light, Boost). Use your index finger to operate the boost key on the front of the handle.

Use the joystick to adjust the swiveling angle and direction of the camera head. The camera head can be swiveled by 110° in all directions.

The articulating camera head includes several special function keys:

• Boost key: Use this key in dark environments to lighten up the image. For a clear image, hold the camera cable steady when using this function.

• Rotation key: Use this key to rotate the image by 90° increments. This is useful when trying to read an inscription completely.

• Light key: When using the mirror attachment, this key improves the vision by reducing impediments from particles, dust, etc., creating a “particle free” function.

Follow these steps to attach the mirror:

1. Unscrew and remove the thread protection ring from the camera head.

2. Screw the separate assembly ring down to the bottom of the threads.

3. Screw the mirror attachment onto the thread until the thread is completely covered.

4. Align the lateral LED opening of the mirror attachment so that the side LEDs are uncovered.

5. Turn the assembly ring upwards to press against the mirror attachment, fixing it in place.

6. Press the light key to activate the lateral light for side viewing.

Note: Steps 4 and 5 may need to be repeated to achieve the correct alignment.

• Do not apply force to the end of the cable or bend it sharply. This can deteriorate your vision and damage the probe.

• When you roll up the cable, the inner diameter must be at least 15 cm.

• Put the protection ring back on and tighten it when not using the device for a longer period of time.

• Do not crash the probe head.

• Ensure the camera does not come into contact with lead-free petrol, diesel oil, machine oil, brake fluid, transmission oil, or water.

• Do not screw accessories on too tightly. Only screw them slightly until they are fixed.

• To clean the camera head, use the cleaning liquid and swabs provided in a cleaning kit.

For the disposal of batteries, the 2006/66/EC directive of the European Parliament applies. Due to the contained pollutants, batteries must not be disposed of as household waste. They must be given to collection points designed for that purpose.
