To lock the vehicle, push either door handle request switch or the rear hatch request switch once, or press the lock button on the key fob.

To unlock the vehicle, perform one of the following procedures:

Push any request switch once; the corresponding door will unlock. Push the request switch again within 60 seconds; all other doors will unlock, or

Press the unlock button on the key fob to unlock the driver’s side door. Press the unlock button again within 1 minute; all other doors will unlock.

To open the charge port lid, press and hold the HOLD button for more than 1 second.

The Intelligent Key can be used to activate the panic alarm by pressing and holding the button for more than 1 second. Once activated, the panic alarm and headlights will stay on for a period of time.

To turn the panic alarm off, press any button on the key fob, or press the door request switch if the key fob is in range.

To slide the seat forward or backward, push the switch forward or backward.

To recline the seatback, push the switch forward or backward.

To raise or lower the front portion or height of the seat, push the front or back end of the switch up or down.

To adjust the seat lumbar support, push the front or back end of the switch.

To fold the seatback down, pull the release knob.

To return the seatback to the seating position, lift up each seatback and push it to the upright position until it is latched. Then return the seat belt to its original position.

To activate Rear Door Alert in your vehicle information display:

Press the left/right buttons on the steering wheel until the “Settings” menu screen appears.

Using the up/down buttons, select “Vehicle Settings”, “Rear Door Alert” and press the OK button.

Choose from the following options: “Horn & Alert”, “Alert Only”, or “OFF” and then press the OK button.

To dismiss the warning, use the up/down buttons on the steering wheel to select “Dismiss Message”. If no selection is made, this message will disappear after a period of time.

To temporarily disable Rear Door Alert for the remainder of the current trip, use the up/down buttons on the steering wheel to select “Disable Alert” and press the OK button.

When the system is active, an audible alert (horn) will sound and a Check Rear Seat For All Articles warning will appear on the vehicle information display.

The rear seatbelt reminder appears for 65 seconds after the power switch is placed in the ON position and the EV system is started. This warning shows the status of the rear seat belts.

When one of the rear seat belts is buckled, the corresponding rear seat belt warning will appear in gray.

When one of the rear seat belts is unbuckled, the rear seat belt warning will appear red.

After a change in buckle status, a chime will sound and the warning will appear for another 65 seconds.

To start the EV system:

Confirm the parking brake is applied and push the P (PARK) switch on the shift lever to place it in the P (PARK) position.

Depress the brake pedal.

Push the power switch to start the EV system.

Check that the READY to drive indicator light illuminates and the start-up sound is audible.

Check the Li-ion battery level and the estimated driving range shown on the meter.

To turn off the EV system:

Push the P (PARK) switch on the shift lever to place it in the P (PARK) position.

Apply the parking brake.

Push the power switch to the OFF position.

To select the right or left side mirror, turn the control switch right or left.

To adjust the mirror angle, move the control switch up, down, right or left.

To prevent accidentally moving the mirror, turn and set the switch to the center (neutral) position.

To use this feature, press the SOS button on the overhead console. With a paid NissanConnect® Services subscription, it can be used to call for assistance in case of an emergency.

Press the ON-OFF button to turn the climate control system on or off.

The automatic mode may be used year-round. Press the AUTO button, and the system will automatically control the inside temperature (automatic cooling and/or dehumidified heating), air flow distribution and fan speed.

Press the temperature control button up for warmer air or down for cooler air.

Press the fan speed control button to manually adjust the fan speed up or down.

Press the MODE button to cycle through the following air flow outlets:

Air flows from the center and side vents.

Air flows from the center, side and foot vents.

Air flows mainly from the foot vents.

Air flows from the front defroster and foot vents.

Air flows from the front defroster vents.

Press the HEAT button to manually turn the heater on and off.

Press the A/C button to manually turn the A/C on or off.

Press the front defroster button to turn the system on. Both the air conditioner and heater will automatically turn on when the front defroster mode is selected. The driving range will be reduced when using this setting.

To remove moisture or fog on the front window quickly, set the temperature control buttons and the fan speed control buttons to their maximum settings.

For air recirculation, press the intake air control button to recirculate air inside the vehicle. The indicator light on the button will illuminate. This system is used to avoid certain outside odors and to help adjust the inside vehicle temperature more effectively.

For outside air recirculation, press the intake air control button again to turn off air recirculation. This allows outside air to be drawn into the passenger compartment to prevent fogging in the front defroster, floor vent or front defroster/floor vent mode.

For automatic air intake control mode, press and hold the intake air control button. The indicator light will blink twice and the inside/outside circulation will then be controlled automatically.

Push the rear window and outside mirror defroster switch to turn the system on or off. Start the engine and push the switch on; the indicator light will illuminate.

Push the switch again to turn the defroster off. This function automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes.

The climate control timer indicator light will illuminate when the timer has been set to operate. The climate control timer may be set to a specific date and time in the vehicle information display.

Push the heated seat switch to heat the seats. Two lights illuminated indicate high setting, or one light indicates low setting.

Push the heated seat switch to turn off the heated seats.

The heated seats automatically turn off and on to maintain a temperature above 68°F (20°C).

Turn the headlight control switch to the position to turn on the front parking, side marker, tail, license plate and instrument panel lights.

Turn the headlight control switch to the position to turn on the headlights.

The autolight system will automatically turn the headlights on when it is dark and off when it is light. The system will keep the headlights on for a period of time after you turn the ignition off and all doors are closed.

To activate the autolight system, turn the headlight control switch to the AUTO position then turn the power switch to ON.

To deactivate the autolight system, turn the headlight control switch to the OFF position, position or position.

With the headlights turned to the position, push the headlight control switch forward to select the high beam function. The blue indicator light will illuminate in the instrument panel. Pull the headlight switch back to the original position to select the low beam. The blue indicator light will extinguish.

Pull and release the headlight control switch to flash on and off the headlight high beams.

To activate the High Beam Assist system, turn the headlight switch to the AUTO position and push the lever forward. While the headlights are turned on the High Beam Assist indicator light in the meter will illuminate.

When the vehicle speed lowers to less than approximately 19 mph (30 km/h), the headlight uses the low beam.

To turn off the High Beam Assist system, turn the headlight switch to the position or select the low beam position by placing the lever in the neutral position.

To operate the fog lights, you must have your headlights on with the low beams selected. Turn the switch (inside collar) to the position to turn on the fog lights.

Turn the switch (inside collar) to the OFF position to turn off the fog lights.

Move the lever up or down until the turn signal begins to flash but the lever does not latch to signal a lane change. Hold the lever until the lane change is completed.

Move the lever up or down until the turn signal begins to flash but the lever does not latch and release the lever. The turn signal will automatically flash three times.

Move the lever to the MIST position. This is a one-sweep operation of the front wipers.

Front wipers operate intermittently by moving the lever down to the INT position and then rotating the control ring to increase or decrease INT wiper speed. The intermittent operation speed varies in accordance to the vehicle speed.

Front wipers operate at a continuous low speed.

Front wipers operate at a continuous high speed.

Pull the lever toward you to activate the front washer. The front wipers will operate several times.

Once the wiper spray cycle is finished, there will be a short delay. Then the wipers will sweep one more time to clear off any remaining drips from the windshield.

Rear wiper operates intermittently.

Rear wiper operates at a continuous low speed.

Push the lever forward to activate the rear washer. The rear wiper will operate several times.

Press the left/right or up/down buttons on the steering wheel to navigate the vehicle information display.

Press the OK button on the steering wheel to change or select an item.

Press the back button on the steering wheel to go back to the previous menu.

Push the TRIP RESET switch to change the display between Odometer > TRIP A > TRIP B.

Push the TRIP RESET switch for approximately 1 second to reset the current displayed trip odometer to zero.

The low tire pressure warning light and a Tire Pressure Low – Add Air warning will illuminate when one or more tires are low in pressure and air is needed.

Current tire pressure of all tires (except the spare) may be visible on the Tire Pressure screen within the vehicle information display when the vehicle is driven at speeds above 16 mph (25 km/h).

Adjust the tire pressure to the recommended tire pressure shown on the Tire and Loading Information label located in the driver’s door opening.

When the low tire pressure warning light flashes for approximately 1 minute and then remains on, the TPMS is not functioning properly.

When adding air to an under-inflated tire, the TPMS with Easy-Fill Tire Alert provides visual and audible signals to help you inflate the tire to the recommended COLD tire pressure.

To use the Easy-Fill Tire Alert system:

1. Move the shift lever to the P (PARK) position and apply the parking brake.

2. Place the power switch in the ON position. Do not place the power switch in the READY to drive mode.

3. Add air to the under-inflated tire, and within a few seconds, the hazard warning lights start flashing.

4. When the designated tire pressure is reached, the horn will beep once and the hazard warning flashers will stop flashing.

5. Repeat this procedure for any additional under-inflated tires.

To open the rear hatch, unlock it and push the rear hatch opener switch. Pull the rear hatch up to open. The rear hatch can be unlocked by:

Pressing the unlock button on the Nissan Intelligent Key® twice.

Pushing the rear hatch opener switch while carrying the Intelligent Key with you (that is, in your purse or pocket).

Pushing the door handle request switch twice.

Pushing the power door lock switch to the unlock position.

The rear hatch does not lock when closed. To lock the rear hatch, use the rear hatch request switch, power door lock or key fob.

To open the charge port lid, do the following:

Push the switch on the instrument panel, or

Press and hold the HOLD button on the Intelligent Key® for more than 1 second.

When the charge port lid springs up slightly, place your hand underneath the lid and open it fully.

To close the charge port lid, slowly move the lid down and lock it securely in place.

The normal or trickle charge connector can be locked to the normal charge port by selecting the charge connector lock mode in the vehicle information display.

The three different modes of the charge connector lock system are:

AUTO – The charge connector is locked while charging is in progress and will automatically unlock when charging is complete.

LOCK – The charge connector will remain locked until UNLOCK mode is selected or until the temporary unlock operation is performed.

UNLOCK – When the unlock mode is selected, the charge connector will unlock and remain unlocked.

When the charge connector lock mode is selected AUTO or LOCK in the vehicle information display, the charge connector lock can be unlocked temporarily with the Intelligent Key or the switch on the instrument panel.

Press the HOLD button on the Intelligent Key for more than 1 second or push the switch on the instrument panel.

The status indicator light flashes three times.

A beep sounds three times.

The charge connector lock is unlocked for 30 seconds.

After 30 seconds, the charge connector lock is locked.

Vehicle range is reduced when the heater is used and the battery temperature drops below 77°F (25°C).

Using the climate control system to heat the cabin when the outside temperature is below 32°F (0°C) uses more electricity (heat pump, if so equipped) and affects vehicle range more than using the heater at temperatures above 32°F (0°C).

Do not store the vehicle in temperatures below -13°F (-25°C) for over seven days. If the outside temperature is -13°F (-25°C) or lower, the Li-ion battery may freeze, and it cannot be charged or provide power to run the vehicle.

The warning light will illuminate if there is a malfunction in the following systems:

Traction motor and inverter system

Charge port or on-board charger

Li-ion battery system

Cooling system

Shift control system

Emergency shut-off system is activated

If the warning light illuminates, it is recommended that you visit a Nissan certified Leaf dealer.

There are three methods available to perform the charge operation: normal charge, trickle charge and quick charge.

Perform a normal charge using the charging device installed in your home. Normal charging uses SAE J1772 compliant charger connected to a dedicated 220-240 volt circuit.

To charge your vehicle:

Place the power switch in the OFF position.

Push the charge port lid switch located on the instrument panel to the left of the steering wheel.

Press the charge port tab and open the cap.

Connect the charge connector to the charge port. When connected correctly, a beep will sound once.

To stop charging:

Ensure that the charge connector lock is not engaged.

Press the button on the charge connector to release the lock and remove the charge connector from the charge port.

Close the charge port cap and the charge port lid.

Perform a trickle charge by connecting the Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) (if so equipped) or a SAE J1772 compliant cord set to connect the vehicle to a dedicated AC 110-120 volt, 15A dedicated outlet.

To charge your vehicle:

Place the power switch in the OFF position.

Open the charge port lid.

Connect the EVSE plug to the 110-120 volt, 15A dedicated electrical outlet. The EVSE control box’s green indicator light will illuminate when connected properly.

Open the charge port cap.

Remove the safety cap from the charge connector.

Connect the charge connector to the charge port. A beep will sound once.

You can pass a rope through the hole on the EVSE control box in order to hang it up while the Li-ion battery is charging.

To stop charging:

Ensure that the charge connector lock is not engaged.

Press the button on the charge connector to release the lock and remove the charge connector from the charge port.

Close the charge port cap and the charge port lid.

Attach the safety cap to the charge connector, remove the electrical plug from the dedicated outlet and store it in the case.

Perform a quick charge by connecting the charge connector at a public charging station to charge the battery in a short period of time.

Quick charging is possible if the battery temperature is not near the red zone.

To charge your vehicle:

Place the power switch in the OFF position.

Open the charge port lid and the charge port cap.

Align the groove of the charge connector with the groove of the charge port, then insert the charge connector.

Grasp the lock lever and lock the charge connector.

Follow the instructions on the quick charge equipment to start charging. When the equipment is properly installed and ready to charge, a beep sounds twice and the charging status indicator light will change.

To stop charging:

The charge connector can be disconnected from the vehicle when the charging is stopped.

Unlock the charge connector and remove it from the vehicle.

After closing the charge port cap, close the charge port lid.

Quick charging is possible if the battery temperature is not near the red zone.

If the battery temperature reaches the red zone, quick charging is not allowed and the power limitation mode will be triggered.

The Li-ion Battery Available Charge Gauge displays the approximate available Li-ion battery power remaining to drive the vehicle. Charge the Li-ion battery before the blue bar of the gauge disappears.

The driving range provides an estimated distance that the vehicle can be driven before recharging is necessary. The driving range is constantly being calculated based on the amount of available Li-ion battery charge and the actual power consumption average.

When the power limitation indicator light illuminates, power provided to the traction motor is reduced. This light illuminates in the following conditions:

The Li-ion battery available charge is extremely low.

The Li-ion battery temperature is very low. Approximately -4°F (-20°C).

The temperature of the Electric Vehicle (EV) system is high (motor, inverter, coolant system, Li-ion battery, etc.).

The EV system has a malfunction.

If the power limitation indicator light is illuminated, follow the instructions provided on the center display.

The power meter displays the traction motor power consumption and the regenerative brake power applied to the Li-ion battery.

The white segment moves to the right when power is provided to the traction motor.

The white segment moves to the left when power is generated and provided to the Li-ion battery by the regenerative brake system.

The illuminated segments on the display are narrowed if the power provided to the motor is limited or if regenerative braking is limited.

It may take more time to charge the Li-ion battery using the quick charger if the vehicle is parked in a cold location (for example, 32°F [0°C]) for a long period of time.

It may take more time to charge the Li-ion battery using the quick charger if the temperature of the Li-ion battery is high or low.

Various functions can be accessed by touching the items on the Launch Bar, which is displayed on most of the main screens. Touching these keys will bring up the corresponding screens.

These dots indicate the page you are currently on, in white, out of the number of pages there are available, in gray.

Touch either arrow to navigate to the next or previous page of the “MENU” screen.

Widgets are useful information from primary menu functions that can be displayed as widgets.

Shortcuts are icons for frequently used menu items that can be placed on the Home “MENU” screens as shortcuts.

Shortcut and widget selections can be set up in the “Customize Home Menu” screen which can be accessed by touching the Settings key followed by the “Customize Home Menu” key. This will display the “Customize Home Menu” screen, which allows shortcuts and widgets to be added, replaced, rearranged or deleted.

1. Press the MENU button on the control panel.

2. Touch the Settings key on the Launch Bar.

3. Touch the “Clock” key.

4. Touch “Set Clock Manually” to manually adjust the time displayed on the clock. (“Clock Mode” must be set to “Manual” with navigation system).

5. Touch the back key to return to the previous screen.

The USB connection ports (USB Type-C/USB Type-A) are located beneath the climate controls.

When a compatible USB memory device is plugged into one of the USB ports, compatible audio files stored on the device can be played through the vehicle’s audio system.

Touch the “USB” key to view the folder list, track listing, playlist, album artwork, album name, artist and songs.

A cellular telephone should not be used for any purpose while driving so full attention may be given to vehicle operation.

Press the talk button on the steering wheel to interrupt the voice prompts at any time and speak a command after the tone.

To use the system faster, you may speak the second level commands with the main menu command on the main menu. For example, press the talk button on the steering wheel, and after the tone, say “redial”.

The “Help” command can be used to hear a list of available commands at any time.

Reduce background noise as much as possible by closing windows and pointing the heater and air conditioner vents away from the ceiling.

Speak naturally without long pauses and without raising your voice.

To cancel a Voice Recognition session, simply wait 5 seconds, say “Cancel” or “Quit” or press and hold the talk button on the steering wheel for 5 seconds.

To decrease or increase the volume of the voice prompts, push the volume control switches or + on the steering wheel or turn the VOLUME control knob on the control panel while the system is responding.

1. Select the Settings key on the Launch Bar.

2. Touch the “Connections” key.

3. Touch the “Bluetooth” tab and touch “Add New”.

4. Follow the instructions on the screen. If a PIN appears on the screen, operate the Bluetooth® device to enter/confirm the PIN.

1. Press the talk button on the steering wheel or touch the Phone key on the Launch Bar.

2. Touch the “Phonebook” key.

3. Choose the desired entry from the displayed list.

1. Touch the Phone key on the Launch Bar. The “Phone” screen will appear on the display.

2. Select one of the options to make a call.

To accept the incoming call, either:

Press the talk button on the steering wheel, or

Touch the Answer key on the screen.

To end or reject an incoming call, either:

Press and hold the talk button on the steering wheel, or

Touch the Decline key on the screen.

Start the call using your Bluetooth® hands-free phone and touch the “Use Handset” key on the screen to use the handset (cellular phone).

Touch the Audio key on the Launch Bar to display the current audio source. Touch the Source key to access the source selection screen.

To turn the audio system on or off press the (on-off) button.

Turn the VOL (volume) control knob right or left to increase or decrease the volume.

Press the OK button to cycle through the audio settings individually and use the TUNE-SCROLL knob to adjust the current setting.

Touch the Settings key on the Launch Bar and then touch the “Sound” key to view all audio settings.

To manually tune the radio, turn the TUNE-SCROLL knob left or right.

Press the seek up button or the seek down button to seek up or down to the next receivable station.

For satellite radio to switch to the first channel of the previous or next category, press the previous button or the next button.

Pressing this button will give access to the AM, FM, SiriusXM®, USB1, USB2, Bluetooth Audio®, Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ audio source.

Twelve memory stations can be set for the FM band, six for the AM band and 18 for satellite radio. These appear at the bottom of the screen when one of these sources is selected.

Apple CarPlay® lets you use your compatible iPhone® to make calls, listen to music, send and receive messages, get directions and use iPhone apps directly from your vehicle display.

Connect your compatible iPhone to the USB connection port located beneath the climate controls.

Depending on the setting, the startup information screen will appear on the center display.

Touch “Yes” then “OK” to use Apple CarPlay.

After the iPhone is connected, the Apple CarPlay home screen will appear, and the iPhone functions displayed on the screen can be operated by the in-vehicle system.

While connected to Apple CarPlay, Siri® operation can be accessed.

There are two ways to start a Siri session:

1. Press and hold the talk button on the steering wheel.

2. Touch and hold the Siri button or key on the lower left corner of the Apple CarPlay screen.

Press the talk button on the steering wheel or touch the Siri button or key on the lower left corner of the Apple CarPlay screen to end the Siri session.

Keep the interior of the vehicle as quiet as possible. Close the windows to eliminate the surrounding noises (traffic noises, vibration sounds, etc.) and point the heater and air conditioner vents away from the ceiling, which may prevent the system from recognizing the voice commands correctly.

To exit the Apple CarPlay screen, press the MENU button on the control panel.

Android Auto™ connects with your compatible Android® phone to control your phone, apps and navigation directly from your vehicle display.

Download the Android Auto app from the Google Play™ store to your compatible Android phone.

Launch the app from your Android phone and follow the directions for setting up the application. Several permissions will need to be given to the app for Android Auto to fully function on your in-vehicle system.

To connect your Android phone to the in-vehicle system, you must connect a USB cable to the USB connection port located beneath the climate controls.

Depending on the setting, the startup information screen will appear on the center display.

Touch “Yes” then “OK” to use Android Auto.

After the cellular phone is connected, the Android Auto home screen will appear and can be operated by the in-vehicle system.

When connected to Android Auto, Google Assistant™ operation can be accessed.

There are three ways to start Google Assistant™:

1. Press and hold the talk button on the steering wheel until a beep is heard.

2. Touch the Android Auto key on the launch bar.

3. Say “OK Google” (requires appropriate permissions enabled via cellular phone).

To return to the Android Auto home screen after operation, touch the Android Auto key on the Launch Bar.

To exit the Android Auto screen, touch the Android Auto key on the Launch Bar and then touch the exit key.

To return to the Android Auto home screen from the main menu:

Touch the Android Auto key on the Launch Bar, or

Touch the Info key on the Launch Bar, touch the “Smartphone Connection” key, and then touch the “Android Auto” key.

Nissan Phone menu and Nissan Voice Recognition cellular phone commands will not be available when Android Auto is active.

If you have difficulties with connection or performance, try a different USB cable.

Your Navigation System can calculate a route from your current location to a preferred destination. The real-time map display and turn-by-turn voice guidance will lead you along the route.

The Navigation System will continually update your vehicle’s position. If you have deviated from the original route, it will recalculate the route from your current location.

To help promote safe driving, some functions cannot be operated or have limited operation when the vehicle speed is above 5 mph (8 km/h). The on-screen text and keys for these restricted functions will be grayed-out or muted and cannot be selected while driving. These functions will become available again when the vehicle speed is reduced to 5 mph (8 km/h). Voice commands may be available for some of the restricted functions.

Touch-screen is used to set a destination.

Map Menu is used to access different navigation options such as “Save Location”, “Points of Interest”, “Map Icons” and “Cancel Route”.

“Add Home” is used to set home location. After location is set, this icon will display “Go Home”.

“POI” searches for a Points of Interest to set as a destination.

“Destination” displays the destination menu.

MAP is pressed to display the map.

Settings is touched to display the system settings.

Touch the “Destination” key on the Launch Bar and touch “Enter POI/Address”. Enter a nearby location name or the street address of the desired location.

Press the talk button on the steering wheel, and after the tone, say “Navigation”. From here, the system will give you the options available for setting a destination.

Touch the “POI” key and then select one of the displayed options for choosing your destination. To find a specific location, touch the “Spell Name” key and type the desired location’s name using the on-screen keyboard.

Press the talk button on the steering wheel, and after the tone, say “Navigation”. Next, say “Nearby” or “POI by category”. The system will give you the options available for setting a POI.

NissanConnect® EV with Services is a collection of telematics features that add innovation to your daily drive.

NissanConnect® EV enables you to perform remote functions from a compatible internet-enabled smartphone or personal computer, such as:

Battery status check – The status of the battery can be checked even if you are not in the vehicle.

Unplugged status and charge status – A notification e-mail can be sent if the charging connector is disconnected or if charging is complete.

Remote charge and remote climate control – Start battery charging, or climate controls can be set.

Destinations by Google™ – Allows you to search for locations near your vehicle’s current location, near a plotted destination, near the map’s scroll position or near a searched city center.

Automatic Collision Notification is a service that generates an automatic connection between the vehicle and the Emergency Response Center when the vehicle has been involved in an accident that was severe enough to deploy the air bags.

Connection to Roadside Assistance allows you to contact a Roadside Response Specialist who can dispatch roadside assistance in non-emergency situations. Connection to Roadside Assistance can be accessed by touching the headset key on the map screen.

Stolen Vehicle Locator is a service that works in coordination with law enforcement agencies to assist in the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

Remote Door Lock/Unlock is for use when you forget to lock your car or if you need to open it and don’t have the keys. To use this feature, log into the NissanConnect® Services companion app or website or contact a NissanConnect® EV with Services Response Specialist.

Alarm Notification is a system that will notify you when the factory-installed vehicle alarm system has been activated.

Maintenance Alert allows you to review notifications via a selected method of a vehicle system malfunction that triggers instrument panel warning lights.

Valet Alert is used to set up a 0.2-mile radius around your vehicle. Activate alerts via the NissanConnect® Services companion app or website.

Curfew Alert allows you to specify curfew limits via the NissanConnect® Services companion app or website and will be notified via a selected method if curfew is violated.

Route Planner allows you to plan your itinerary and simplify your trip. By entering a starting point and end destination, Route Planner will look at the vehicle’s range and suggest routes by identifying charging station waypoints along the way.

Boundary Alert is a feature that allows you to monitor the movement of your vehicle in and out of specified regions you have set on the Monitoring section of the NissanConnect® Services web portal or companion app.

Speed Alert sends you alerts when your vehicle speed exceeds a threshold you have set on the web portal or companion app.

To access these features in your vehicle:

Press the MENU button on the control panel.

Touch the Info key.

Touch the “NissanConnect EV & Services” key.

Your vehicle’s Navigation System is equipped with SiriusXM® Travel Link and SiriusXM® Traffic capabilities.

Touch the Info key to access SiriusXM® Travel Link and SiriusXM® Traffic.

SiriusXM® Travel Link provides access to real-time weather information and forecasts, Charging Station Info, movie listings, sport scores and stock quotes.

SiriusXM® Traffic provides information that may help to avoid delays due to traffic incidents. Traffic jams, roadwork, road closures around the current location, etc., are represented graphically on the map by icons depicting the nature of the event. Incidents on the route are automatically displayed as they are approached.

This system allows for sending and receiving text messages through the vehicle’s interface.

Using predefined or custom messages, send a text to an entry stored in your Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System.

Once enabled, the date, sender and delivery time are shown on the control panel display when the vehicle speed is less than 5 mph (8 km/h).

Text messages have the option of being read aloud at all speeds.

Once the vehicle is in motion, text messages can only be replied to using the Voice Recognition button on the steering wheel.

Text messages can be created manually when the vehicle is not in motion.

Custom text messages must be created in advance.

Many cellular phones may require special permission to enable text messaging. Check the cellular phone’s screen during Bluetooth® pairing. For some cellular phones, you may need to enable “Notifications” in the cellular phone’s Bluetooth® menu for text messages to appear on the touch-screen display.

If you have a compatible Bluetooth® device with streaming audio (A2DP profile), you can set up the wireless connection between your Bluetooth® device and the in-vehicle audio system. This connection allows you to listen to audio from the Bluetooth® device using your vehicle’s speakers.

To use Bluetooth® streaming audio:

Touch the Audio key on the launch bar, then touch the “BT Audio” key.

A camera and sensor support the forward driving aids for your vehicle. The camera sensor is located above the inside mirror and the radar sensor is located on the front of the vehicle.

Forward Driving Aid systems (if so equipped) supported by these sensors include, but are not limited to:

Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC)

Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection

Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (I-FCW)

The “Forward Driving Aids temporarily disabled Front Sensor blocked See Owner’s Manual” warning may illuminate if the front radar sensor is obstructed.

The warning light may illuminate and blink if the front camera sensor is obstructed.

Front sensor areas may become obstructed due to mud, dirt, snow, ice, and inclement weather (rain, fog, snow, etc).

If the warning message appears, stop the vehicle in a safe place, place the shift lever in the P (Park) position and turn the EV system off. Clean the sensor areas and restart the EV system. If the message and light continue to appear after cleaning sensor areas, it may mean that forward driving aids are not functioning properly. It is recommended that you have the systems checked by a Nissan dealer.

An indicator light located on the outside mirrors will illuminate if the radar sensors detect a vehicle in the detection zone.

The BSW system helps to alert the driver when another vehicle moves into the vehicle’s detection zone.

If the turn signal is activated, the system will chime (twice), the side indicator light will flash, and the BSW indicator will illuminate (yellow) in the vehicle information display.

The RCTA system helps to alert the driver of an approaching vehicle when the driver is backing out of a parking space. The system operates when the shift lever is in the R (REVERSE) position and the vehicle speed is less than approximately 5 mph (8 km/h).

The radar sensors detect an approaching vehicle from up to 66 ft (20 m). The sensors are located on both sides near the rear bumper. The system gives visual and audible warnings if an approaching vehicle is detected.

The RCTA and BSW system can be turned on or off through the “Driver Assistance” menu in the vehicle information display.

The I-BSI system helps alert the driver of other vehicles in adjacent lanes when changing lanes, and helps assist the driver to return the vehicle to the center of the traveling lane.

An indicator light located on the outside mirrors will illuminate if the radar sensors detect a vehicle in the detection zone.

When the BSI system is turned on the I-BSI ON indicator light on the instrument panel illuminates.

To turn on the I-BSI system, push the switch on the steering wheel (models with ProPILOT Assist) or the dynamic driver assistance switch (models without ProPILOT Assist) after starting the EV system.

The I-BSI system operates above approximately 37 mph (60 km/h).

If the system detects a vehicle in the detection zone and your vehicle is approaching the lane marker, the BSI system provides an audible warning (three times), flashes the side indicator light and slightly applies the brakes for a short period of time on one side to help return the vehicle back to the traveling lane.

The I-BSI system can be turned on or off through the “Driver Assistance” menu in the vehicle information display.

ProPILOT Assist is a combination of Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) and Steering Assist. The ProPILOT Assist system is intended to enhance the operation of the vehicle when following a vehicle traveling in the same lane and direction. The ProPILOT Assist system is a “hands-on” driver assistance system and is intended for use on expressways/highways.

The driver must be prepared to steer and brake the vehicle at all times.

1. To set ProPILOT Assist, push the ProPILOT Assist switch on the steering wheel. The ProPILOT Assist system display will appear on the vehicle information display.

2. Push the SET- switch when at the desired speed.

3. Push the distance switch to select the following distance.

The set vehicle speed indicator displays the speed set by the driver.

The Steering Assist indicator shows whether Steering Assist is active or not (green-active, gray-standby, yellow-malfunction).

The lane marker indicator indicates whether the system detects the lane markers.

The ProPILOT Assist status indicator indicates the status of the ProPILOT Assist system by the color of the indicator (blue-active, white-standby).

The vehicle ahead detection indicator appears on the display when a vehicle is detected ahead.

The set distance indicator displays the selected distance set by driver.

To cancel ProPILOT Assist, do one of the following:

Push the CANCEL switch on the steering wheel.

Tap the brake pedal.

Push the ProPILOT Assist switch.

The set speed range is between approximately 20 and 90 mph (30 and 144 km/h).

To accelerate or decelerate your vehicle to the desired speed, push the RES+ switch or SET- switch and release it.

When a vehicle is detected in the lane ahead, the ICC system controls the vehicle speed to maintain the distance from the vehicle ahead set by the driver.

The system will not detect a vehicle that is already stopped in the traveling lane before it enters the detection zone. The driver must control the vehicle to prevent a collision.

When the vehicle ahead decelerates, your vehicle decelerates to maintain the distance from the vehicle ahead set by the driver.

Once the vehicle ahead stops, the ICC system will stop your vehicle and apply the brakes to keep the vehicle stopped.

If the driver lightly touches (instead of firmly grips) the steering wheel, the steering torque sensor may not detect the driver’s hand(s) on the wheel and a sequence of warnings may occur. The warnings turn off when the driver holds and operates the steering wheel again.

If the driver’s hands remain off the steering wheel and the system remains on, the vehicle will eventually come to a stop.

To choose the conventional (fixed speed) cruise control mode, push and hold the cruise control switch for longer than approximately 1.5 seconds.

The Steering Assist system assists the driving operation to help keep the vehicle within the traveling lane.

Lane markers must be clear and consistent on both sides of the vehicle.

This feature will operate when vehicle speed is above 37 mph (60 km/h).

Below 37 mph (60 km/h), ProPILOT Assist must detect a vehicle ahead in order for steering assistance to activate.

Steering Assist provides a warning, is canceled or temporarily goes into standby mode under the following conditions:

The turn signals are activated.

Both hands are not detected on the steering wheel. Simply apply more pressure or a tighter grip on the steering wheel.

The wipers are in LO or HI speed position.

Steering Assist will not activate if the system does not detect lane markers.

To switch off push the Steering Assist switch on the instrument panel.

To cancel Steering Assist, do the following:

Press the left/right buttons on the steering wheel to select “Settings”.

Use the up/down buttons to select “Driver Assistance”. Then press the OK button.

Select “Steering Assist” and press the OK button.

Steering Assist may not operate as expected under all conditions. Always be prepared to steer if needed. For example, lighting conditions, weather, lane splits (such as exit ramps) and confusing lane markers may cause the system to not operate as expected.

To apply the parking brake, pull the parking brake switch, located in the center console. The electronic parking brake indicator light will illuminate.

To release the parking brake, and with the ignition switch in the ON position, depress the brake pedal and push the parking brake switch down. The electronic parking brake indicator light will turn off.

To set Vehicle-To-Vehicle Distance Control mode, push the ICC switch on the steering wheel. The ICC system ON indicator will illuminate.

Accelerate to the desired speed.

Push down on the SET- switch on the steering wheel and release it. ICC will be set to the desired speed.

Push the distance switch on the steering wheel repeatedly to change the set distance between long, middle and short.

When a vehicle is not detected ahead of you in the lane, the set distance and set vehicle speed indicator will illuminate in set mode.

When a vehicle is detected ahead of you in the lane, the vehicle ahead detection, set distance and set vehicle speed indicator will illuminate in set mode.

To reset at a faster cruising speed, push and hold the RES+ switch on the steering wheel. When the vehicle attains the desired speed, release the switch.

To reset at a slower cruising speed, push and hold the SET- switch on the steering wheel. Release the switch when the vehicle slows to the desired speed.

To cancel the preset speed, push the CANCEL switch on the steering wheel or tap the brake pedal. The set vehicle speed indicator will extinguish.

To turn off ICC, push the ICC switch on the steering wheel. The ICC system ON indicator in the instrument panel will extinguish.

The cruise control system enables you to set a constant cruising speed once the vehicle has reached 25 mph (40 km/h).

The system will automatically maintain the set speed until you tap the brake pedal, accelerate, cancel or turn off the system.

To activate the cruise control, push the cruise control switch on the steering wheel. The indicator in the instrument panel will illuminate.

To set a cruising speed, accelerate the vehicle to the desired speed, push the SET- switch on the steering wheel and release. Take your foot off the accelerator pedal. Your vehicle will maintain the set speed.

To reset at a faster cruising speed, push and hold the RES+ switch. When the vehicle attains the desired speed, release the switch.

To reset at a slower cruising speed, push and hold the SET- switch. Release the switch when the vehicle slows to the desired speed.

To cancel the preset speed, push the CANCEL switch.

To turn off cruise control, push the cruise control switch. The indicator in the vehicle information display will extinguish.

The AEB with Pedestrian Detection System can assist the driver when there is a risk of a forward collision with a vehicle ahead in the traveling lane or with a pedestrian.

The AEB Pedestrian Detection System will function when your vehicle is driven at speeds above approximately 3 mph (5 km/h). For the pedestrian detection function, the AEB Pedestrian Detection System operates at speeds between 6-37 mph (10-60 km/h).

If there is a risk of a forward collision with a vehicle, an audible tone will sound and the vehicle ahead detection indicator will illuminate. In addition, the system applies partial braking. If the driver does not take action, the AEB Pedestrian Detection System will provide a second set of audible and visual warnings to the driver and then automatically apply harder braking.

If there is a risk of a forward collision with a pedestrian, an audible tone will sound and the AEB emergency warning indicator will flash. Partial braking will be applied, followed by harder braking if the driver fails to react.

With the power switch in the ON position, the Intelligent Around View® Monitor is activated by pressing the CAMERA button, located on the navigation unit, or by moving the shift lever to the R (REVERSE) position. The monitor displays various views of the position of the vehicle.

When the vehicle is in the P (PARK), N (NEUTRAL) or D (DRIVE) position and the CAMERA button is pressed, the following views will display in order:

Front view & bird’s-eye view

Front view & front-side view

Full screen rear view

Rear view & bird’s-eye view

Rear view & front-side view

The colored guide lines on the display screen indicate vehicle width and approximate distances to objects with reference to the vehicle body line.

Red 1.5 ft (0.5 m)

Yellow 3 ft (1 m)

Green 7 ft (2 m)

Green 10 ft (3 m) (if so equipped)

There are some areas where the system will not show objects.

When in the front or the rear view display, an object below the bumper or on the ground may not be viewed.

When in the bird’s-eye view, a tall object near the seam of the camera detecting areas will not appear in the monitor.

The distance between objects viewed on the Intelligent Around View Monitor differs from the actual distance. Objects in the bird’s-eye view will appear farther than the actual distance.

The MOD system helps inform the driver of moving objects around the vehicle.

The system will operate when the shift lever is in the P (PARK), R (REVERSE), N (NEUTRAL) or D (DRIVE) position and the vehicle is driven at speeds of approximately 5 mph (8 km/h) or less.

If the MOD system detects moving objects, a yellow frame will be displayed on the camera image and a chime will sound.

When the following is displayed:

Blue MOD icon; the system is active.

Gray MOD icon; the system is not active.

No MOD icon; the system is off. The indicator will also be off if all of the warning systems are deactivated using the “Settings” menu.

The MOD system will not operate if the rear hatch is open.

Hill Start Assist allows time for the driver to release the brake pedal and apply the accelerator when the vehicle is parked on a hill. The brakes are applied automatically for 2 seconds after the driver releases the brake pedal.

The Hill Start Assist system will operate automatically under these conditions:

The shift lever is placed in the D (DRIVE), B mode or R (REVERSE) position.

The vehicle is stopped completely on a hill by applying the brake.

The Hill Start Assist system will not operate when the shift lever is in the N (NEUTRAL) or P (PARK) position or when the vehicle is on a flat and level road.

The RAB system can assist the driver when the vehicle is backing up and approaching objects directly behind the vehicle.

The RAB system will function when the shift lever is in the R (REVERSE) position and the vehicle speed is less than approximately 9 mph (15 km/h).

If a risk of a collision with an obstacle is detected when your vehicle is backing up, the RAB system warning indicator will flash in the vehicle information display. A red frame will appear in the center display (for vehicles equipped with the Intelligent Around View Monitor system). The system will chime three times and the brakes will be applied automatically. The driver must depress the brake pedal to maintain brake pressure.

The RAB system can be turned on and off through the “Driver Assistance” section vehicle information display.

When the RAB system is turned off, the RAB system warning light illuminates.

The LDW system can help alert the driver when the vehicle is traveling too close to either the left or the right side of a traveling lane.

The system will operate when the vehicle is driven at speeds of approximately 37 mph (60 km/h) and above and only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road.

When the vehicle approaches either the left or the right side of the traveling lane, the LDW system will vibrate and the LDW light on the vehicle information display will blink to alert the driver.

The I-LI system can assist the driver in returning the vehicle to the center of the traveling lane by applying individual brake pressure to the left or right wheels for a short period of time.

The LDW system can be turned on and off through the “Driver Assistance” section vehicle information display.

The VSP system helps alert pedestrians to the presence of the vehicle when it is being driven at a low-speed.

When the vehicle starts to move, it produces a sound. The sound stops when the vehicle speed reaches approximately 25 mph (40 km/h) while accelerating.

The e-Pedal system enables the driver to slow or stop the vehicle, or to keep the vehicle stopped, by operating only the accelerator pedal. When the e-Pedal system is activated, the regenerative brake is enhanced and the driver can adjust the vehicle speed by only depressing or returning the accelerator pedal.

Be sure to confirm the status of the e-Pedal system in the vehicle information display before driving.

To activate or deactivate the e-Pedal system, place the power switch in the ON position and push the e-Pedal switch located on the center console.

The e-Pedal system indicator illuminates in the vehicle information display when the e-Pedal system has been activated.

e-Pedal OFF illuminates when the system is deactivated.

To turn the e-Pedal system off while the vehicle is kept stopped by the e-Pedal system, depress the brake pedal and then pull the e-Pedal switch.

The e-Pedal system will not function under the following conditions.

When the vehicle is placed in the P (PARK) or N (NEUTRAL) position.

When the cruise control (if so equipped), ProPILOT Assist (if so equipped) or Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) is operated.

When Driver Attention Alert is selected in the vehicle information display, the system uses an audible and visual warning to suggest that the driver take a break.

If the system detects that driver attention is decreasing, the “Take a Break?” message appears in the vehicle information display and a chime sounds when the vehicle is driven at speeds above 37 mph (60 km/h).

The I-FCW system can help alert the driver of sudden braking by the second vehicle traveling ahead of your vehicle in the same lane.

The I-FCW system operates at speeds above approximately 3 mph (5 km/h).

If there is a potential risk of a forward collision, the I-FCW system will warn the driver with the vehicle ahead detection indicator and sounding an alert.

The I-TC system senses driving based on the driver’s steering and acceleration/braking patterns. It controls brake pressure at individual wheels to aid tracing at corners and help smooth vehicle response.

The I-TC system can be enabled or disabled through the vehicle information display.

When the I-TC system is operating, you may feel a pulsation in the brake pedal and hear a noise. This is normal and indicates that the I-TC is operating properly.

This vehicle is equipped with an electric shift control system, providing smooth and easy shift lever operation.

There are five shift positions for operating the vehicle: P (PARK), R (REVERSE), N (NEUTRAL), D (DRIVE) and B mode.

P (PARK) is activated by pushing the P (PARK) switch on the shift lever when the vehicle has come to a complete stop.

Use this position to back up. Make sure that the vehicle is completely stopped before selecting the R (REVERSE) position.

N (NEUTRAL) means neither forward nor reverse gear is engaged. The vehicle can be placed in the READY to drive position in this position.

D (DRIVE) is for normal driving, it is activated by moving the shift lever left and down. The shift lever will then return to the home position.

B mode engages the regenerative braking system more aggressively when decelerating, helping to put energy back into the battery pack. To enter B mode, the vehicle must be in D (DRIVE) and then move the shift lever to the D (DRIVE) position again. The shift lever will then return to the home position.

ECO mode consumes less power and helps extend vehicle range.

ECO mode can be activated by pushing the ECO switch located in the center console.

The ECO mode helps reduce power consumption by reducing acceleration when compared to the same accelerator pedal position in the D (DRIVE) position.

Always make sure VDC is on before driving the vehicle.

VDC should remain on when driving, except when freeing the vehicle from mud or snow.
