The MONTPELLIER MWBIC90044 must be installed by a Qualified Electrical Engineer/Installer. Key requirements include:

The MONTPELLIER MWBIC90044 is fitted with a cooling fan that operates while the oven is in use. Warm air is expelled from a ventilation grill just above the appliance door. It is important not to cover this grill.

The cooling fan may continue to run for a while after you have finished using the appliance; this is quite normal. You may also see condensation on the door window and interior surfaces, which is normal and can be wiped away with a clean cloth after cooking.

When the appliance is first connected, “00:00” will blink and a buzzer will ring. To set the clock:

1. Turn the +/- Selector Knob to set the time between 00:00 and 23:59.

2. Touch the Clock key to confirm. The time is now set.

To remove the new cooker smell, you should heat the empty and closed oven before its first use. Ensure no packaging remnants are left inside.

1. Use the Function Selector Knob to set the heating mode to 3D Hot air.

2. Touch the Temperature key. Turn the +/- Selector Knob to set the temperature to 230 °C.

3. Touch the Clock key. Turn the +/- Selector Knob to set the cooking time to 60 minutes.

4. Touch the Start/Pause key. The oven will begin to heat up.

Here is an example of setting the oven for Hot air at 200 °C for 25 minutes:

1. Set the Function Selector Knob to the Hot air function.

2. Touch the Temperature key. The default temperature (e.g., 180°C) will blink. Turn the +/- Selector Knob to set the temperature to 200°C.

3. Touch the Clock key. Turn the +/- Selector Knob to set the cooking time to 25 minutes.

4. Touch the Start/Pause key. The oven will begin to heat up.

During operation:

– Opening the door: Operation is suspended. Close the door and press Start/Pause to continue.

– Pausing: Touch the Start/Pause key to pause. Touch it again to continue.

– Changing cooking time: Touch the Clock key and turn the +/- knob to adjust.

– Changing temperature: Touch the Temperature key and turn the +/- knob to adjust.

– Cancelling: Touch the ON/OFF key at any time to enter the off state.

Rapid Preheating allows the oven to reach the set temperature very quickly. It is available for 3D Hot air, Grill with fan, Microwave+Hot air, Microwave+Grill Fan, Pizza setting, and Microwave+Pizza modes.

To use Rapid Preheating:

1. Set your desired heating mode and temperature.

2. Touch the Rapid preheating key (three vertical wave lines). The symbol lights up in the display.

3. Touch the Start/Pause key. The oven begins to heat up.

A signal will sound and the preheating symbol in the display will blink when the process is complete. You can then put your food in the oven.

To cancel, touch the Rapid preheating key or the Start/Pause key during preheating. Opening the door will also cancel the function.

Use the Power/Weight key to select the desired microwave power. The available settings are:

Note: The 900W setting can be used for a maximum of 30 minutes. All other power settings have a maximum cooking time of 1 hour 30 minutes.

Example: To set microwave power to 300W for 17 minutes:

1. In the off state, touch the ON/OFF key to enter microwave function. The default power (900W) and a blinking default time will appear.

2. Touch the Power/Weight key to activate power selection. Turn the +/- Selector Knob to adjust the power to 300W.

3. Touch the Clock key. Turn the +/- Selector Knob to adjust the cooking time to 17 minutes.

4. Touch the Start/Pause key. Operation begins and the time will count down.

Micro-Combi operation uses a combination of microwave and another heating function (like grill or hot air) to cook food faster while still browning it. You can use any microwave power setting except 900W.

Example: To cook with 100W microwave and hot air at 190°C for 17 minutes:

1. Turn the Function Selector Knob to the Microwave+Hot air function.

2. Touch the Temperature key. The default temperature will blink. Turn the +/- Selector Knob to set it to 190°C.

3. The default microwave power is 300W. Touch the Power/Weight key. Turn the +/- Selector Knob to set the power to 100W.

4. Touch the Clock key. Turn the +/- Selector Knob to set the cooking time to 17 minutes.

5. Touch the Start/Pause key. The appliance will start operating.

The automatic programmes make cooking easier by setting the optimal settings based on the food type and weight. Always place food in a cold cooking compartment.

Example: To cook using Programme 3 with a weight of 1 kg:

1. Set the Function Selector Knob to Auto-programs. The first programme number will appear.

2. Touch the Temperature/Auto menu key. Turn the +/- Selector Knob to select the desired programme number (e.g., P 03).

3. Touch the Power/Weight key.

To activate the Child Lock:

1. Ensure no cooking time is set and the function selector is in the off position.

2. Touch and hold the Temperature/Auto menu key and the Start/Pause key simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds.

3. The key symbol will appear in the display, indicating the childproof lock is activated.

To deactivate the Child Lock:

1. Touch and hold the Temperature/Auto menu key and the Start/Pause key simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds.

2. The key symbol on the display will go out, and the childproof lock is deactivated.

Note: The childproof lock is not operational when other cooking programmes have been set.

Before any cleaning, always disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply and ensure it is completely cool.

Internal Cleaning:

Clean the interior and accessories (like the turntable and wire racks) with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry them thoroughly. Do not use detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning products, wax polishes, or products containing bleach or alcohol.

External Cleaning:

Wash the fascia (control panel) and door with warm soapy water. Do NOT use abrasive products.
