Before beginning, ensure that .NET Framework version 4.8 is installed on your PC. You can check this in the Control Panel under “Program and Features”.

1. Double-click the downloaded “AE-200 UpdateTool_V***.msi” file.

2. If a “Security Warning” message appears, click [Run].

3. When the “Setup Wizard” screen appears, click [Next].

4. On the “License Agreement” screen, read the terms, select [I Agree], and click [Next].

5. On the “Select Installation Folder” screen, choose the destination folder. To allow all PC users to access the tool, ensure the [Everyone] checkbox is selected. Click [Next].

6. On the “Confirm Installation” screen, click [Next] to begin the installation.

7. The tool will be installed. Please wait for the process to complete.

8. Once installation is complete, click [Close] to exit the wizard.

To communicate with the MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AE-200E, your PC’s IP address must be on the same network. The menu bar contains two menus: File and Help.

File Menu:

• Save TXT file: Click [File] > [Save] to save the IP addresses that are entered in the tool to a file on your PC.

• Exit Update Tool: Click [File] > [Exit] to close the application.

Help Menu:

• Version information: Click [Help] > [About] to display the current version of the Update Tool software.

To input IP addresses directly, simply click into the “Destination IP address” column for each row and type the IP address of the MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AE-200E controller you wish to update.

Important:

• Enter the IP address using one-byte characters in the format [XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX], where XXX is an integer between 0 and 255. (Example: 192.168.1.1)

• Do not enter any other characters, including tabs and spaces.

You can load up to 50 IP addresses from a standard TXT file.

1. Using a text editor like Notepad, create a file and enter one IP address per line for each MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AE-200E controller. Save the file.

• Select the file named “AE200_FW####_****.dat” for a MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AE-200E controller. (#### represents the software version).

• Select the file named “AE50_FW####_****.dat” for an AE-50/EW-50 controller. (#### represents the software version).

After acquiring data and selecting the update file:

1. Click the [Update] button. The “Authentication information input” screen will appear.

2. For the first controller (No. 1), enter the ID and Password for its initial settings in the corresponding fields.

3. For any subsequent controllers (No. 2 and later), if they use the same ID and password as the first one, check the box next to [Same as No. 1]. Otherwise, enter their unique ID and password.

4. Click [OK]. The authentication screen will close and the update process will begin.

5. The update status for each MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AE-200E will appear in the “Status” column of the main screen.

The status messages appear in a specific order during the update process:

The approximate time required for the update varies with the number of controllers and the software version.

Important Warnings:

• Do not click the ‘X’ at the top right corner of the screen, disconnect the LAN cable, or turn off power to the MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AE-200E during the update process.

• The following controllers will not be updated: those with no destination IP address entered, and those with a status of “The equipment is not applicable for update” or “Already updated”.

• If an “Authentication failed,” “Communication failed,” or “Update failed” status appears, refer to the troubleshooting section.

• A 7905 error message (System abnormality – Version error / Different unit model error) may appear on the MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AE-200E if the software versions of connected controllers temporarily do not match during the update. This error will automatically reset when the software versions match.

2. A “Save As” screen will appear. Enter any name for the file in the “File name” field and click [Save].
