Automatic opening:

Push the switch back past the point of resistance. The sunroof will open completely. Touching the switch briefly during this process stops the movement.

Manual opening and closing (in case of electrical malfunction):

1. Push the clock towards the interior and remove it.

2. Use an Allen wrench to turn the sliding/tilt sunroof in the desired direction.

The alarm system is armed and disarmed when you lock or unlock the vehicle with the key or remote control.

The alarm system reacts if:

– There is movement inside the vehicle (interior motion sensor).

– After 1,250 miles / 2,000 km, you can gradually increase the rpm and vehicle speed.

Tires (First 200 miles / 300 km):

Tires do not achieve their full traction potential until after an initial break-in period. Drive carefully during this time.

Brake system (First 300 miles / 500 km):

Brake pads and rotors need this distance to achieve optimum surface and wear patterns. Avoid hard stops during this period.

Clutch (First 300 miles / 500 km):

The clutch needs this distance to operate at optimum efficiency. Engage the clutch carefully during this initial period.

Always switch off the engine before refueling.

1. Open the fuel filler door.

2. Turn the filler cap counterclockwise to remove it.

3. Place the filler cap in the bracket attached to the fuel filler door.

4. Insert the filler nozzle completely into the filler pipe. The fuel tank is full when the nozzle shuts off for the first time.

After Refueling:

1. Put the filler cap back on.

2. Turn the filler cap clockwise until it clicks.

3. Close the fuel filler door.

Your vehicle requires Premium Unleaded Gasoline with a minimum of 91 AKI (Anti Knock Index).

Tire pressures should be checked on cold tires at least every two weeks. Pressures are specified in psi/kilopascal. The following table applies to manufacturer-approved or recommended tires.

When replacing bulbs, do not touch the glass portion of a new bulb with your bare hands. Use a clean cloth or paper napkin.

Low and High Beams (H7 bulb, 55 Watts):

1. Open the bonnet. The headlamps are integrated into it.

2. Pull the tab on the cover of the defective lamp and open it.

3. Press the retaining wire lightly at the eyelet and guide it outwards.

4. Fold the retaining wire down.

5. Remove the lamp holder and replace the lamp.

6. Reinsert the holder, fold the retaining wire back up, and catch it in place.

Front Turn Signal Indicators (21 Watt bulb):

1. Open the bonnet.

2. Reach into the opening from above.

3. Apply gentle pressure to the bulb holder while turning it to the left.

4. Remove and replace the bulb.

Tail Lamps (Rear lamp – 21/5 Watts; others – 21 Watts):

1. Remove the cover of the side trim panel in the cargo area.

2. Unplug the power supply.

3. Release the bulb holder (see arrow in PDF illustration) and remove it.

4. Apply gentle pressure to the bulb and turn it left to remove and replace.

5. Plug the power supply back in.

6. Press the bulb holder into position until it engages.

First, follow all safety measures: stop away from traffic, turn on hazard flashers, engage the parking brake, and have all passengers exit the vehicle.

1. Remove the space-saver spare tire:

– The spare tire is located underneath the vehicle at the rear.

– From the cargo area, loosen the screw connection using the wheel lug bolt wrench.

– Screw the lifting handle onto the thread and raise it slightly.

– Squeeze the securing springs to release the tire, then lower it.

– Pull the spare tire out from under the vehicle.

2. Prepare the vehicle:

– Place the folding chock behind the wheel diagonally opposite the flat tire.

– Loosen the lug bolts on the flat tire by half a turn.

3. Jack up the vehicle:

– Place the jack at the jacking point closest to the wheel.

– Insert the jack head into the square recess of the jacking point.

– Jack the vehicle up until the wheel is raised from the ground.

4. Fit the space-saver spare tire:

– Screw in at least two lug bolts finger-tight, then screw in the rest.

– Tighten all lug bolts firmly in a diagonal pattern.

– Lower the vehicle and remove the jack.

5. After the change:

– Fully tighten the lug bolts in a diagonal pattern.

– Have the lug bolt torque checked as soon as possible (88.5 lb ft / 120 Nm).

– When driving with the space-saver spare, do not exceed 50 mph / 80 km/h.

The MINI Mobility System uses a liquid sealant and a compressor to temporarily repair a puncture.

1. Prepare for tire repair:

– Read all warnings on the equipment.

– Stick the speed limit tag onto the steering wheel.

2. Pumping in liquid sealant:

– Shake the filling canister.

– Screw the filling hose onto the canister.

– Unscrew the dust cap from the tire valve.

– Using the valve remover from the kit, screw out the valve core.

– Push the filling hose onto the tire valve.

– Hold the canister with the cap down and squeeze the entire contents into the tire.

– Remove the filling hose and screw the valve core back into the tire valve.

3. Reinflating the tire:

– Screw the compressor hose onto the tire valve.

– Connect the compressor plug to the cigarette lighter socket.

– Turn the ignition key to position 1 and turn on the compressor.

– Pump the tire to at least 26.1 psi / 180 kPa (but not more than 36.2 psi / 250 kPa). Do not run the compressor for more than 6 minutes.

4. Distributing liquid sealant:

– Immediately drive for 10 minutes (not exceeding 40 mph / 60 km/h) to distribute the sealant.

5. Checking tire inflation pressure:

– After driving for 10 minutes, stop and check the pressure again. It must be at least 18.8 psi / 130 kPa. If not, do not continue driving.

– If the pressure is sufficient, correct it to the prescribed value and replace the tire as soon as possible.

Use only jumper cables with fully insulated handles. Ensure both vehicles have 12-Volt batteries and there is no contact between the vehicles.

1. Preparing for jump-starting:

– Switch off the engine of the support vehicle.

– Switch off all electrical systems in both vehicles.

– On the MINI COOPER S, open the cover of the positive terminal connection for jump-starting. This functions as the positive battery terminal.

2. Connect the jumper cables (in this exact sequence):

1. Connect one end of the POSITIVE (+) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the discharged battery (or the jump-start terminal on the Cooper S).

2. Connect the other end of the POSITIVE (+) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the support battery.

3. Connect one end of the NEGATIVE (–) jumper cable to the negative terminal of the support battery.

4. Connect the other end of the NEGATIVE (–) jumper cable to an engine or body ground on the vehicle to be started (as shown in the PDF illustration), away from the battery.

3. Performing the jump-start:

– Start the engine of the support vehicle and let it run at a fast idle for several minutes.

– Start the engine of the vehicle with the discharged battery in the usual manner.
