When using the LINEA DOMO DO8712W, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following:

Read all instructions carefully. Keep the manual for future reference.

Make sure all packaging materials and promotional stickers have been removed before using the appliance for the first time. Ensure children cannot play with the packaging materials.

This appliance is intended for household and similar applications. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

Attention: This appliance cannot be used with an external timer or a separate remote control.

Before use, check if the voltage stated on the appliance corresponds with the voltage of the power net at your home.

Before the first use of your LINEA DOMO DO8712W, follow these steps:

1. Remove all packing materials and carefully clean the appliance, the grill plate, and the mini pans. (See “Cleaning”).

2. Use a thin layer of vegetable oil in the mini pans and on the grill plate. This will prevent sticking and make cleaning easier.

3. When using the appliance for the first time, a small amount of smoke may be released from the heating element. This is normal and harmless. For this reason, allow the appliance to preheat for 10-30 minutes to burn any possible remaining residues.

4. Place the unit preferably on a surface that is easy to clean. The surface should also be heat-resistant. Do not place the appliance on an untreated wooden surface.

5. Make sure that there is enough ventilation around the grill.

6. Make sure that the grill is switched off. Plug it into an earthed socket.

To operate your LINEA DOMO DO8712W, follow these instructions:

1. Place the appliance in the middle of the table. Make sure that the space around the appliance is properly ventilated.

2. Wait until you are sure that the grill plate is sufficiently hot before cooking on it; allow the appliance a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 minutes to preheat.

3. Cut meat into small squares to shorten cooking time.

4. It is recommended to remove as much food residue as possible during grilling with a wooden spatula. When the remains are dried up, they are harder to remove.

You can set the temperature of the LINEA DOMO DO8712W as required. The temperature ranges from minimum (MIN) to maximum (MAX). A mid-way temperature is recommended. This switch is also the ‘on’ switch, and MIN is the off position.

Turn the temperature regulator to the required position. The red indicator light will light up when the appliance is plugged in, showing that the appliance is getting power. The green light will go on when the desired temperature is reached.

To use the grilling feature:

1. Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to the grill plate and mini pans.

2. Only use wooden or plastic utensils so you do not damage the anti-stick coating of the grill plate or mini pans.

3. You can use the circles on the grill plate to bake eggs or pancakes.

To use the wok pans:

1. Apply some grease to the wok pans before using them to avoid sticking.

2. Do not touch the pans with bare hands; use the handles and take care not to heat used empty pans.

3. The wok pans can be used for all sorts of foods: meat, vegetables, fruit, and also for baking eggs and small potatoes.

Clean the appliance after every use. Follow these steps for cleaning and maintenance:

1. Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning it. Wait until the appliance has completely cooled down.

2. All external surfaces can be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge.

3. Clean the grill plate and raclette pans with water and some mild detergent.

4. Do not use sharp objects. Only use a wooden scraper.

5. Make sure that water cannot get into the appliance.

6. Never use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. These could cause damage to the non-stick surface layer on the grill plate and pans.

7. Do not immerse the appliance in water and never clean it in a dishwasher.

8. Clean the tray that catches excessive grease with warm water and some mild detergent.
