When using the LINEA DOMO DO8146, basic safety precautions should always be taken:

• READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.

• This appliance is intended for use in household and similar environments such as shops, offices, farm houses, hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast type environments.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• This appliance can be used by children aged 16 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• The appliance must be disconnected from its power source when not in use, during service and when replacing parts.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• CAUTION: To avoid a hazard, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

• Ensure that the fan is switched off from the supply mains before removing the guard.

• Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug or in the event the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

• To protect against electrical shock or burns, do not immerse the unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.

• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a counter, or touch hot surfaces.

• Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use.

• Never leave the appliance unattended while it is functioning.

• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

• Do not use or store this appliance outdoors.

• Do not move the appliance while in use.

• Failure to maintain this appliance in a clean condition could adversely affect the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation.

The LINEA DOMO DO8146 stand fan consists of the following parts:

1. Grill

11. Knob for setting speed

12. Knob for tilting grill

To assemble the LINEA DOMO DO8146, follow these steps:

1. Place the extended feet in the base mount.

2. Place the motor on the base and fasten it with the small grey screw (A) in the opening provided.

3. Place the large screw (B) and nut (C) in the openings provided.

4. Fasten the small turn screw (D) on the unit.

5. To mount the grill, position the back of the grill on the base. Make sure the handle is located at the top. Fasten the back of the grill with 4 small black screws.

6. To fasten the fan blades to the fan, turn the protruding pin so that the flat side is up. Fasten the fan blades with a screw.

7. Finally, mount the front of the grill on the fan. Make sure that the clip is at the top and the opening for the screw is at the bottom. Position the screw in the opening provided and tighten it with the nut at the back, so that the front and back of the grill fit together correctly. Fasten the halves of the grill together with the clips.

Put the plug in the socket. The button for the speed settings allows you to turn the fan on and off. There are 3 speeds to choose from (low – medium – high). To switch the appliance off again, turn the button back to ‘o’.

To allow the fan to oscillate, push in the oscillation button. To stop the fan from oscillating, pull the button up. When it is switched on, it will alternately turn to the left and right to better spread the air.

To direct the air flow up or down, loosen the knob for tilting the grill to adjust the direction up or down. Once the fan is pointed in the right direction, tighten the knob again.

The height of the fan can be adjusted by loosening the knob and lengthening or shortening the telescopic tube. Then tighten the knob again. The blocking ring on the tube ensures that the fan cannot be lowered too far, which would cause the rotation of the fan to be blocked.

The LINEA DOMO DO8146 requires very little maintenance. Follow these steps for cleaning:

• If the fan is defective, have it checked and/or repaired by a qualified person. Never try to repair it yourself.

• Prior to assembling the fan or cleaning it, remove the plug from the outlet.

• Keep the rear grill free of dust and other substances to allow free circulation of the air around the motor. Do not disassemble the fan to remove dust from the motor.

• You may clean the exterior of the machine with a soft moist cloth and a mild detergent. Carefully dry the machine afterwards.

• Never use corrosive or abrasive products to clean the machine.

• Make sure that no water gets into the motor of the machine.

The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. Instead, it must be brought to the applicable collection point for recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
