To ensure safe operation of your LIEBHERR FKUV 1663, please follow these safety instructions:

• To prevent injury or damage, the appliance should be unpacked and set up by two people.

• If the appliance is damaged on delivery, contact the supplier immediately before connecting to the mains.

• Ensure the appliance is set up and connected as described in the operating instructions.

• Disconnect the appliance from the mains if a fault occurs. Pull out the plug, switch off, or remove the fuse. When disconnecting, pull the plug, not the cable.

• Repairs should only be carried out by the customer service department.

• Do not allow naked flames or ignition sources to enter the appliance. When transporting and cleaning, ensure the refrigerant circuit is not damaged. If damaged, keep ignition sources away and ventilate the room well.

• Do not stand on the plinth, drawers, or doors or use them to support anything.

• This appliance can be used by children of 8 years and over and persons with restricted physical, sensory, or mental capacities if they are supervised and instructed on its safe use. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

• Avoid prolonged skin contact with cold surfaces or chilled/frozen food to prevent pain, numbness, and frostbite. Wear protective measures like gloves if necessary.

• Do not consume food that has been stored for too long, as it could cause food poisoning.

• Do not store explosives or sprays with combustible propellants (butane, propane, pentane, etc.) in the appliance.

• Do not use electrical appliances inside the refrigerator.

• If you have a lockable appliance, keep the key away from the appliance and out of reach of children.

• The appliance is for use in enclosed areas. Do not operate it outdoors or in areas exposed to splash water or damp conditions.

• The LED light strip is for illuminating the interior and is not suitable for lighting a room.

• When transporting or operating at an altitude of more than 1500 m above sea level, the glass pane in the door can break due to reduced air pressure. Broken fragments are sharp-edged.

The LIEBHERR FKUV 1663 is suitable solely for cooling food in a domestic environment or similar. This includes use in:

– staff kitchenettes, bed and breakfast establishments,

– by guests in cottages, hotels, motels and other forms of accommodation,

– in catering and similar services in the wholesale trade.

Use the appliance only as is customary within a domestic environment. All other uses are inadmissible.

The appliance is not suitable for storing and cooling medicines, blood plasma, laboratory preparations, or similar substances and products. It is also not suitable for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres.

The climate rating indicates the room temperature at which the LIEBHERR FKUV 1663 may be operated to achieve full refrigeration performance. You should not operate the appliance outside the specified room temperature range. The climate rating is indicated on the type plate inside the appliance.

• Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight or near cookers, radiators, and similar sources of heat.

• Do not cover ventilation openings or the grille.

• Do not place heat-emitting appliances, like a microwave oven or toaster, on top of the appliance.

• Standard EN 378 specifies that the room where you install your appliance must have a volume of 1 m³ per 8 g of R 600a refrigerant used in the appliance. The quantity of refrigerant is indicated on the type plate inside the appliance.

• Always install the appliance directly against a wall.

There are two installation options for the LIEBHERR FKUV 1663:

Version 1: A cross-section of a minimum of 200 cm² is required in the worktop for ventilation of the rear of the appliance.

Version 2: If no ventilation grille is provided in the worktop, the recess must be at least 860 mm high to ensure adequate heat dissipation to the front. A ventilation space of at least 180 cm² is still required.

The appliance dimensions are approximately 830 mm high, 602 mm wide, and 611 mm deep (excluding handle).

To level your LIEBHERR FKUV 1663:

1. Place the appliance in its final position at the place of installation.

2. Compensate for floor unevenness using the adjustable feet.

It is important that the appliance is aligned horizontally and vertically. If it is not level, the main body of the appliance can be deformed and the door will not close properly.

To lock the appliance:

1. Insert the key as shown by arrow 1.

2. Turn the key 90°.

To unlock the appliance, repeat the same procedure in the same order.

Only operate the appliance with alternating current (AC). The permissible voltage and frequency are indicated on the type plate.

• The socket must be properly earthed and protected by a fuse. The tripping current of the fuse must be between 10 A and 16 A.

• The socket must not be situated behind the appliance and must be easily accessible.

• Do not connect the appliance using an extension cable or extension socket.

• Do not use stand-alone inverters or energy-saving plugs, as this can risk damage to the electronic control system.

The control panel includes:

① Temperature display (display)

② Temperature setting button (Up/Down)

③ On/Off button

④ Fan button

⑤ Audible warning on/off button (Alarm)

The display shows the following symbols:

• MENU: Setup mode is activated.

• Alarm symbol (flashing): Temperature inside is too high.

• Child lock symbol: Child lock is activated.

• Fan ON symbol: Fan is activated.

• DEMO: Demo mode is activated.

Switching the appliance on:

Press the On/Off button until the temperature display lights up.

Switching the appliance off:

Keep the On/Off button pressed for approx. 3 seconds so that the temperature display goes out.

Note: If the On/Off button is held down for a further 3 seconds after the temperature display has gone out, the appliance will switch on again.

1. Press the Up/Down button. The temperature display will flash.

2. Press the Up/Down button again to select the next lower temperature value.

3. Keep pressing the Up/Down button until the desired value is displayed.

After a period of operation, the interior temperature will adjust to the set value.

If F1 or F2 appears in the display, the appliance has a fault. In this case, contact the customer service department.

If the door is left open for more than 180 seconds, the audible warning signal will sound. If you need the door open for a lengthy period to place items inside, you can cancel the audible warning signal by pressing the Alarm button. The alarm switches back to standby when the door is shut.

If the temperatures in the interior are out of the permitted range, the audible warning signal will sound and the temperature display will flash. This can happen after a lengthy power failure.

• To cancel the audible warning signal, press the Alarm button.

The temperature display will stop flashing as soon as the interior temperature has reached the set value.

If the alarm sounds due to a fault, the interior temperature may be too high or too low. If the displayed temperature is too high (warm), first check that the door is closed correctly. If the temperature display continues to show a value that is too high or too low after one hour, contact customer service. You can cancel the audible warning signal by pressing the Alarm button.

The child lock protects the appliance from being switched off and the temperature setting from being changed accidentally.

Activating the child lock:

1. Press the Ventilation button for 5 seconds. The display will show ‘c’.

2. The display will change to ‘c1’.

3. The display will change back to ‘c’.

4. The display will show the current temperature, and the child lock is activated.

Deactivating the child lock:

1. Press the Ventilation button for 5 seconds. The display will show ‘c’.

2. The display will change to ‘c0’.

3. The display will change back to ‘c’.

4. The display will show the current temperature, and the child lock is deactivated.

1. Press the Ventilation button for 5 seconds. The display will show ‘c’.

2. Press the Up/Down button. The display will show ‘h’.

3. Press the Ventilation button. The display will show the current brightness level (e.g., ‘h1’).

4. Use the Up/Down button to adjust to the desired brightness. ‘h0’ is the minimum brightness and ‘h5’ is the maximum brightness.

5. Press the On/Off button to confirm. The adjusted brightness will be activated after one minute.

Note: If any button is pressed, the display will light up for one minute at maximum brightness.

Demo mode can be activated for presenting the appliance at exhibitions or in salesrooms. In this mode, DEMO appears in the display, and the cooling circuit is switched off.

If this mode is activated by accident, it can be deactivated as follows:

1. Press the On/Off button and the Up/Down button simultaneously for 5 seconds.

2. The display will show ‘d’.

3. Press the Ventilation button. The display will show ‘d0’.

4. Press the Ventilation button again. The refrigeration unit will switch on, and the temperature display will flash.

The appliance is now in normal operating mode.

With the fan function switched on, a uniform temperature distribution will be attained in the refrigerator compartment. This is recommended in high room temperatures (approx. 33°C or higher) or if the air humidity is high (e.g., during the summer).

To switch on the fan, press the fan button. The fan symbol will light up on the display.

Clean the appliance at least twice per year. Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance, disconnect from the mains, or switch off/unscrew the fuse. Do not use steam cleaners.

• Clean the inside, equipment parts, and outer walls with lukewarm water and a little detergent. Do not use chemical solvents or cleaning agents containing sand or acid.

• Ensure that no cleaning water penetrates into the electrical components or ventilation grille.

• Dry all parts well with a cloth.

• The dust should be removed from the refrigeration unit and heat exchanger (metal grid at the back of the appliance) once a year.

• Do not damage or remove the type plate on the inside of the appliance.

• Clean the drain hole in the refrigerator compartment with a thin object, e.g., a cotton swab or similar.

You may be able to rectify the following faults by checking the possible causes yourself:

• F1 or F2 appears in the display.

The appliance has suffered a fault. Contact the customer service department.

• Appliance does not function:

– Is the appliance switched on?

– Is the plug correctly fitted in the mains socket?

– Is the fuse intact?

• When inserting the mains plug, the refrigeration unit does not switch on, but a value is shown in the temperature display.

Demo mode is activated. Deactivate demo mode as described in the section entitled “Demo mode”.

• Loud running noise:

– Is the appliance set up firmly on the floor?

– Does the appliance cause nearby items of furniture or objects to vibrate? Please note that noises caused by the refrigerant circuit cannot be avoided.

• The temperature is not low enough:

– Is the temperature setting correct?

– Does the separately installed thermometer show the correct reading?

– Is the ventilation system working properly?

– Is the appliance set up too close to a heat source?

If none of the above causes apply and you cannot rectify the fault yourself, contact the nearest customer service department.

If your LIEBHERR FKUV 1663 is to be shut down for any length of time, switch it off and disconnect the plug or switch off or unscrew the fuse. Clean the appliance and leave the door open in order to prevent unpleasant smells.

Follow these steps to reverse the door swing:

1. Unscrew the lower hinge bracket. The hinge bracket has a spring mechanism and will turn to the left when screws are undone.

2. Pull the door out at the bottom and lift it off the top pin.

3. Transfer the handle and plugs to the opposite side of the door.

4. To remove the lock, insert the key.

5. Push in the key and turn it 90°.

6. Remove the lock cover.

7. Remove the screw (Torx 15).

8. Turn the lock approximately 3° clockwise.

9. Remove the pin.

10. Turn the lock 90° clockwise.

11. Remove the lock mechanism.

12. Transfer the covers from the lock hole to the opposite side.

13. Insert the lock into the new hole on the opposite side as shown in the illustration.

14. Turn back the lock 90° anticlockwise.

15. Turn the lock a further approx. 3° clockwise.

16. Insert the pin. After insertion, the pin’s cross pin must be engaged in the groove of the catch.

17. Screw in the screw and attach the cover cap.

18. Push in the key and turn it 90°.

19. Move the top hinge pin to the other side.

20. Transfer the cover plate on the bottom of the door to the opposite side.

21. Transfer the pin on the loose lower hinge bracket to its opposite side.

22. Mount the door on the top hinge pin and close it.

23. Insert the lower hinge bracket into the lower door mounting. Turn the hinge bracket by 90° to compress the spring. Screw the hinge bracket on.

If the door is at an angle, you can adjust the lateral tilt.

1. Undo the screws on the bottom hinge bracket slightly.

2. Slide the hinge bracket to the right or left to align the door.

3. Tighten the screws.
