The functions of the remote control buttons are as follows:

SOUND EFFECT: Selects a sound effect mode.

F: Selects the function and the input source.

* (Asterisk): Turns down the volume at night.

++: Adjusts the sound level of Treble, Bass and Sub-woofer.

DRC: Turns the DRC (Dynamic Range Control) function on or off.

AV SYNC: Synchronizes the audio and video.

SLEEP: Sets the system to turn off automatically at a specified time.

AUTO VOL: Adjusts the volume level appropriately.

AUTO POWER: Automatically turns the unit on by an input source.

To replace the battery, open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert one AAA (R03) battery, matching the positive and negative ends correctly.

To disconnect the wireless network connection or the wireless device, press and hold the “Add” (📶+) button until you hear the beep sound twice.

The buttons located on the rear of the sound bar have the following functions:

⏻ / I: Standby / On

F: Selects function

-/+: Adjusts volume

📶: Connects wireless network.

📶+: Adds an additional MUSICflow product to your network (in case one or more MUSICflow products are already connected).

The LED indicator shows the connection status of the sound bar:

White (blinking): Waiting for network connection.

White (staying on): Network connection is completed.

White (Dimmed): Standby mode with network connection.

Green (staying on): The first group was set.

Red (staying on): Standby mode without network connection.

The rear panel of the LG MUSIC FLOW SH8 features the following ports:

DC IN: Connect to the AC Adapter.

OPTICAL IN: Connect to an optical device.

PORTABLE IN / MIC: Connect a portable device or microphone.

USB (Service only): S/W download connector.

HDMI IN: Connect to a device with HDMI OUT.

HDMI OUT (TV ARC): Connect to a TV.

LAN: Connect to a router.

Place the wireless subwoofer near the sound bar and follow these steps for automatic connection:

1. Connect the power cord of the wireless subwoofer to an outlet.

2. Turn on the main unit (sound bar).

The sound bar and wireless subwoofer will be automatically connected. The subwoofer’s green LED will turn on.

To prevent wireless interference, keep the sound bar and the subwoofer over 1 meter away from devices like wireless routers or microwave ovens.

If the green LED on the subwoofer is blinking quickly, you can connect it manually. If it is not blinking quickly, you must first reset the subwoofer.

1. Reset the Subwoofer:

– Press and hold the Paring button on the subwoofer for 5 seconds.

– The LED will light up alternately in red and green.

– Unplug the power cord. After the LED turns off completely, plug the power cord in again.

– When the reset is complete, the subwoofer’s green LED will blink quickly.

2. Reset the sound bar:

– Adjust the volume to minimum. “MIN” will appear on the display window.

– Press and hold the Mute button on the remote control for 5 seconds. “SUB – WF RESET” will appear on the display window.

– Turn the sound bar’s power off and then on while the subwoofer’s green LED is still blinking.

When the connection is completed, you will see the solid green LED on the subwoofer.

You can connect your LG MUSIC FLOW SH8 to your TV using either an Optical cable or an HDMI ARC cable.

A. Optical Connection

1. Connect the sound bar’s OPTICAL IN port to the TV’s OPTICAL OUT port using an Optical cable.

2. Set up [External Speaker (Optical)] on your TV’s setting menu.

B. HDMI (ARC) Connection

1. Connect the sound bar’s HDMI OUT (TV ARC) port to the TV’s HDMI IN (ARC) port using an HDMI cable.

2. Set up [External Speaker (HDMI ARC)] on your TV’s setting menu.

Note: The HDMI connection is unavailable if your TV does not support HDMI ARC.

1. Connect your external device (e.g., Set-top Box, Player) to the HDMI IN port on the LG MUSIC FLOW SH8. Then connect the sound bar’s HDMI OUT (TV ARC) port to your TV.

2. Set the input source by pressing the ‘F’ button on the remote control or the unit repeatedly until the correct input is selected.

1. Check your network condition. A router connected to the network should be installed.

2. Connect your smart device (e.g., smartphone) to your home network.

3. Connect the sound bar to the power supply.

4. To enjoy music from a media server, connect the media server to your home network. All devices should be connected to the same router.

Download the “Music Flow Player” application from the Apps Store or Google Play Store.

Once downloaded, launch the Music Flow Player App and follow the on-screen steps for a wired or wireless connection.
