Before and after each ride on your LECTRIC XP STEP-THRU 3.0, you should go through the following safety checklist:

• Inspect your eBike for any damage. If damage is found, do not ride.

• Verify that the front and rear axles are secure.

• Check that the front and rear tire pressure is within the recommended pressure range printed on the tire sidewall.

• Pull the brake levers to ensure the brakes are working properly.

• Visually inspect the bike for damage or anything out of the ordinary.

• Turn on the lights, especially if riding at night.

• Make sure all hardware is tightened to the recommended torque specifications.

• Verify that the frame folding latch is securely closed and locked.

• Verify that the stem folding latch is securely closed and locked.

• Check that the handlebar stem is inserted past the minimum insertion point, which is labeled near the bottom of the handlebar stem.

• Check that the handlebar stem collar and clamp are closed and tightened to 6 Nm or until it leaves an impression on your hand.

• Check that the seatpost is inserted past the minimum insertion point, which is labeled on the seatpost.

• Check that the seatpost collar and clamp are closed and tightened to 18 Nm or until it leaves an impression on your hand.

• Check that the seat cannot be twisted out of position, and set the height to a safe position that makes it easy to mount and dismount the bike.

• Make sure the pedals are locked in a flat position.

• Check the condition of the chain to see if it needs cleaning or lubrication.

• Wear a helmet and high visibility clothing.

• NEVER exceed the maximum total weight limit of 330 lbs. (150 kg). The rear rack can hold a maximum of 150 lbs. (68 kg). For example, if you have 40 lbs. of cargo, the maximum rider weight would be 290 lbs.

• Only carry the cargo you need. More weight will drain the battery faster and affect how the bike handles.

• Ensure all components are properly secured.

• Make sure your battery is fully charged.

To unfold the pedals:

1. Pull each pedal out until you hear an audible click as they lock into position.

To fold the pedals:

1. Grasp the pedal and push lightly toward the bicycle.

2. Continue pushing while raising the pedal into its folded position.

3. The pedal will click into the folded position.

To unfold the stem:

1. Begin with the handlebars in the folded position.

2. Pull the handlebar stem to its upright position.

3. Push the latch in firmly until it locks in position.

4. Pull on the latch to confirm it is locked and that the handlebars cannot fold.

To fold the stem:

1. Pull up on the silver button labeled “open” to unlock the latch.

2. Pull the latch away from the stem while still holding the “open” button.

3. Fold the stem by lowering it to the side.

To unfold the frame:

1. Stand near the frame where the battery is exposed. Grab the stem and rear end of the bike. Lift the bike slightly off the ground and swing it to the closed position.

2. Push down the latch firmly until it locks into position. Pull on the latch to confirm that it has locked and the frame cannot fold.

To fold the frame:

1. To unlock the bike frame, start by sliding the switch labeled “open” to the right.

2. Pull the latch while still holding the switch in the “open” position. You may now fold the bike.

To adjust the handlebar height, unlatch the clamp on the telescoping stem. Move the handlebars to your desired height and then close the clamp. Re-tighten the stem clamp to the recommended torque of 10 Nm.

Important: Always insert the telescoping stem past the minimum insertion point marked on the stem. A stem that is positioned too high can damage the bike and cause you to lose control and crash.

To achieve the correct seat height:

1. Sit on the seat and place one heel on a pedal.

2. Rotate the crank until the pedal with your heel on it is in the down position and the crank arm is parallel to the seat tube.

3. Your leg should be completely straight. If your hips rock for your heel to reach, the seat is too high. If your leg is bent, the seat is too low.

To adjust the seat height:

1. Loosen the seatpost clamp.

2. Raise or lower the seat post in the seat tube. Make sure the seat is straight.

3. Re-tighten the seat post clamp to the recommended torque of 18 Nm. ALWAYS insert the seat post past the minimum insertion point marked on it.

To adjust the seat position (front/back and angle):

• Front and back adjustment: Loosen the nuts on both sides of the seat. Adjust the position and ensure the clamp mechanism is on the straight part of the seat rails. Tighten the clamping fasteners to 20 Nm.

• Seat angle adjustment: Loosen the clamp bolt to disengage any serrations, adjust the angle, then fully re-engage the serrations before tightening the clamp bolt to 20 Nm.

Always tighten fasteners to the correct torque to prevent serious injury or death. The recommended torque specifications for your LECTRIC XP STEP-THRU 3.0 are as follows:

Your LECTRIC XP STEP-THRU 3.0 has a 7-speed freewheel. Pedaling in 1st gear (largest sprocket) makes it easier to go up hills. Pedaling in 7th gear (smallest sprocket) helps you reach higher speeds on flat or downhill terrain.

• To shift up (to a higher gear, e.g., from 3 to 4): Press the lower button marked with the plus (+) sign.

• To shift down (to a lower gear, e.g., from 4 to 3): Push the upper lever marked with the minus (-) sign away from you.

To operate the half-twist throttle on the right handlebar, first check that the Pedal Assist (PAS) level is set above 0. Then, twist the throttle back slowly to achieve your desired speed and acceleration.

• To brake the rear wheel: Pull the right brake lever.

• To brake the front wheel: Pull the left brake lever.

For safe braking, ALWAYS apply the right brake lever (rear wheel) before and during the use of the front brake. ALWAYS apply even pressure to both brake levers when slowing down or stopping. Applying only the front brake quickly can cause you to be ejected over the handlebars.

Note: When your bike is new, the brakes need to be “bedded in.” This means the braking force on the first 10-30 pulls will not be as powerful. Ride in a safe environment and stop the bike 10-30 times to properly bed in the brakes before riding normally.

You can adjust the suspension fork stiffness for your terrain and weight.

• To increase stiffness: Turn the black knob clockwise towards the “lock” direction indicated.

• To reduce stiffness: Turn the black knob counterclockwise towards the “open” direction indicated.

• To fully lock suspension (make it rigid): Turn the black knob clockwise towards the “lock” direction until it cannot be turned further.

To turn the integrated front and rear lights ON or OFF, hold the plus (+) button on the display control pad for about 3 seconds until the lights change state.

The display shows various information about your ride:

1. Walk Mode, Cruise Control, and Pedal assist (PAS) Level Indicator

2. Odometer, Trip A, Voltage, Current, Trip Timer (TM) readouts

3. Battery level indicator bar

4. Maximum and Average Speed

5. Speedometer in MPH or KM/H

6. Light On/Off Indicator

7. Mile and kilometer indicators

Note: The trip meter, as well as maximum and average speed, will reset when the bicycle is powered OFF.

To enter the Settings Menu, hold the plus (+) and the minus (-) buttons simultaneously. Press the power button to toggle between each numbered setting. To adjust the value of a setting, use the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons. You should only change the settings listed below.

Your LECTRIC XP STEP-THRU 3.0 ships as a Class 2 eBike with a maximum speed of 20 mph. To increase the top speed to Class 3 performance (up to 28 mph), follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons on the control pad simultaneously until the screen says “P1”.

2. Press the power button on the control pad to cycle through the settings.

3. Go to setting “P08” and change this value from 32 to 100. This setting represents the top speed in kilometers per hour.

4. Press and hold the plus (+) and the minus (-) buttons on the control pad to exit the Settings Menu.

5. Power the bicycle OFF by holding the power button to save the settings.

Note: After changing the speed, you must remove the Class 2 label from the bike and reveal the Class 3 label underneath. Always check local laws and regulations before increasing your bicycle’s top speed.

Walk Mode helps make walking the heavier e-bike easier. It can be toggled on or off in the settings menu (P21).

• To activate: When in PAS 1-5, hold down the minus (-) button on the display control pad. The motor will engage at a speed similar to a slow walk. “Walking” will appear on the display.

• To deactivate: Pull either brake lever OR press and hold the minus (-) button on the display control pad.

Always keep the wheels in contact with the ground when using Walk Mode.

Cruise control maintains a speed based on the throttle’s position when activated.

• To activate: Twist the throttle to the desired speed position and hold the minus (-) button. “Cruise” will appear on the display.

• To deactivate: Pull either brake lever to disengage Cruise Control.

• Bike total maximum payload: 330 lbs (150 kg)

• Rear cargo rack maximum payload: 150 lbs (68 kg)

• Foot pegs: 39 lbs (18 kg) per side

Do not exceed the load limit of the rear cargo rack. You must always hold onto the bike when loading a passenger, as the kickstand is not designed for loading.

To start your ride:

1. Insert the key and turn it counterclockwise to the ON position. The key will be parallel with the frame and must remain in the bike to use.

2. Hold down the power button on the left handlebar until the display comes on.

3. Select a Pedal Assist (PAS) level from 1-5 using the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons. PAS 0 provides no motor assist.

To end your ride:

When the bicycle is at a complete stop, press and hold the power button to turn the display OFF. This ensures the motor will not activate accidentally.

• Check the charger, cables, and battery for damage before each charge.

• Always charge in a safe, cool, dry, indoor area away from direct sunlight, dirt, or debris.

• Charge in temperatures between 32°F – 113°F (0°C – 45°C).

• The battery can be charged on or off the bike.

• Charging normally takes 4-7 hours. The charger light will be red while charging and turn green when complete.

• Remove the charger from the battery within one hour of the light turning green.

• Never charge a battery for more than 12 hours at a time and do not leave a charging battery unattended.

• Only use the original LECTRIC eBikes charger.

The battery has 3 key positions: UNLOCKED, OFF, and ON.

To install:

1. With the key removed, fully insert the battery pack into the bicycle frame. The locking pin will be retracted.

2. Insert the key into the battery through the hole in the bottom of the frame. The key is in the UNLOCKED position.

3. Turn the key clockwise. You will hear one audible click. The key is now in the OFF position. The locking pin will protrude through the frame, securing the battery, but the power will not be active.

4. Turn the key clockwise again so it is parallel with the frame. The key is now in the ON position, and the bike can be powered on.

To uninstall:

Follow the steps above in reverse order. Be sure to remove the key from the battery before removing the battery from the bicycle.

For long-term storage (weeks or months), remove the battery from the eBike and store it at about 60% charge. Check the charge level every 2-3 months and recharge to 60% if necessary.

Always store your battery pack in a dry, well-ventilated location that:

• Is in a room with a smoke alarm.

• Is away from combustible or flammable objects.

• Is away from heat sources and direct sunlight.

Operate and store the battery in temperatures between 32° F – 104° F (0°C – 40°C).

1. Check that the cord is securely connected to the charger.

2. Check for power availability at the wall outlet.

3. If the battery still does not charge, unplug everything and contact customer support. Do not attempt to repair the cord or charger.

1. Charge the battery until the light on the charger turns from red to green. This may take up to 8 hours.

2. Insert the key into the battery and turn it counterclockwise to the ON position (key parallel with the frame). Then press and hold the power button on the display control pad to turn it on.

3. Check the quick plug connection from the display. Follow the cable from the display down to the quick plug. Unplug it with a quick pull (do not twist), inspect both sides, and reconnect by lining up the arrows on both ends. After checking, try turning the bike on again.

1. Check that the PAS level is set between 1-5.

2. To test if PAS is working, do not operate the throttle.

3. To test if the throttle is working, do not pedal.

4. Check all quick plugs for secure connections.

If a fault is detected, an error code will appear on the display. Here are the common codes and solutions:

Regular maintenance ensures your bike remains safe and fun to ride.

100 Mile Tune-Up (or after 5 full battery charges):

• Have a bicycle shop adjust the shifting cables, as they will stretch during the wear-in period.

• Have all hardware adjusted to the specified Tightening Torque.

Monthly (or every 250-500 miles):

• Inflate tires to the recommended pressure.

• Lubricate the chain.

• Check that all hardware is tightened to the correct torque.

• Check brake pads for wear and replace if necessary.

• Check shifting performance and adjust the derailleur if necessary.

• Clean the bicycle and lubricate where necessary.

• Check spoke tension and adjust if necessary.

Quarterly (or every 750-1500 miles):

• Perform all checks on the monthly service list.

• Check tire tread for excessive wear and replace if necessary.

• Check that electrical connectors and cable housings are secure and free from damage.

Clean your LECTRIC XP STEP-THRU 3.0 carefully with a soft, damp cloth using only mild soap and water. Rinse with water. Do not submerge the eBike or its components in water, and do not use a pressure washer to clean it. The electrical components are IP65 rated.
