What are the safety guidelines concerning children?

The exposed parts of the product will be heated during and after use; children should be kept away.

Do not place any object on the unit that children may reach.

Packaging materials can be dangerous for children. Keep them in a place out of reach and recycle them according to waste instructions.

If constant supervision cannot be provided, children under 8 years old must be kept away from the unit.

What are the important safety instructions for using the hob?

This device is produced for domestic use. The manufacturer is not liable for damages from wrong or faulty installation.

The device is set to 220-240 volts.

WARNING: The equipment and its accessible parts become hot during use. Best care should be taken to avoid contacting the heating elements.

WARNING: Cooking with vegetable oil or fat without supervision can be dangerous and may cause a fire. Do not try to extinguish a fire with water; instead, turn off the equipment and cover the flame with a lid or a fire blanket.

What are the general safety warnings for gas hobs?

LPG hoods should have a regulated outlet pressure of 300 mmSS (30mbar).

Natural gas pressure is 200 mmSS (20mbar). Consult an authorized service for conversion to natural gas or LPG.

The use of gas baking products causes heat and steam. Ensure your kitchen is well-ventilated. Keep natural ventilation outlets open or install a mechanical ventilation product (hood, aspirator).

Since this unit is for domestic use, it is not suitable for commercial or industrial use. It is dangerous and inappropriate for other purposes (e.g., heating a room).

Do not allow the gas hose and electric cord to touch the heated parts of the unit.

Keep flammable, explosive, and ignition materials away from your device.

Do not move your device when it is working or hot.

When you are not using your hob, close the feeding valve after turning all switches to the “OFF” position.


How should this appliance be disposed of?

This device is subject to 2002/96/EC WEEE (Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment) directives. To prevent negative impacts on humans and the environment, it should not be disposed of as domestic waste. Instead, it must be returned to an electronic waste collection center. Disposal should follow local environmental legislation. Old and useless equipment should not be thrown into a waste container directly. What should I check before using the appliance for the first time?

Make sure that you remove all packaging materials before using the unit.

When you remove the hob from the package, make sure that the hob and/or the cable are complete and undamaged, and that there was no impact to the bottom of the device. If there is any issue, consult your seller.

Any and all work on the gas equipment and systems should be conducted by competent and authorized persons.


What should I do if I smell gas?

Do not use a flame. Do not smoke.

Do not operate the switch of any electrical device. Do not use a fixed or mobile phone.

Close all valves on the gas products and gas counters.

Open the doors and windows.

Go out of the house if you still smell gas.

Warn the neighbors.

Call the fire service. Use a phone from outside the home.

Do not enter the house until you are notified that it is safe.


What are the pre-installation warnings and instructions?

ATTENTION: Before installation, check that the gas type and gas pressure stated under the product match those of your home. Call an authorized service dealer for possible gas type changes in the future.

When the unit is removed from its packaging, make sure it is strong, not bent, and has no faults. In case of any doubt, consult the dealer.

Cut off the electric connection of the unit from the main switch during installation.

For built-in cooktops to operate smoothly, the counter measurements and materials must be proper, and the counter should be resistant to heat.

To prevent foreign materials and liquids from getting between the hob and the counter, attach the adhesive band on the counter hole without any overlapping before installation.

Place the hob on the counter hole to center it.

Secure the unit on the counter using the installation sheet and screws.


What are the requirements for installing the appliance?

This equipment should be mounted in well-ventilated places and as per the regulations in force. The installation personnel must consider the applicable laws and norms for the release of burning gases and ventilation.

Your hob is designed to be installed on standard counters.

The materials used on the surface and the link partitions under the counter should be resistant to a minimum of 100°C.

A safe distance should be left between the hob and the counter walls.

The hole provided for the hob on the counter should be as per the figure in the manual.

The distance between the hob sole and the partition should be at least 25 mm.

The distance between the cooktop and another device (e.g., a kitchen hood) shall not be less than 700 mm.

If a 60 cm hob is placed on a built-in oven without a cooling system, it is recommended to leave a 300 cm2 ventilation hole to ensure air circulation. If a 75 or 90 cm cooktop is placed, the oven must have a cooling fan.

There must be 200 cm of space at the side wall of the hob’s cabinet.


How are burnt gases released and what are the ventilation requirements?

The air required for burning is taken from the environment of the hob, and the burnt gases are released into the environment. Proper ventilation should be maintained for safe operation of the unit. The ventilation openings are defined as per the volume of the environment.

Burnt gases should be discharged outside by a hood with a flume.

If no kitchen hood is used, an electrical ventilator with a guaranteed capacity to discharge 3-5 times the kitchen air volume should be installed at the wall or window of the building.

What are the instructions for the electrical connection?

The electric connection should be conducted by a competent and authorized person.

The electric cable of your hob should not be laid in hot regions.

If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced with a special cable from a special cable agency or the authorized service dealer.

No reducer, adapter, or switch should be used for electrical connection as it can cause excessive heat and fire.

Plug the electric cable into a grounded wall socket. The manufacturer is released from all liability in the event of any failure on this issue.

The supply data of the electric network should be suitable with the data on the type label of the unit.


What are the instructions for the gas connection?

These instructions are for specialist personnel with required competence. The installation should be suitable as per the applicable standards.

All gas-related work should be conducted when the electric connection is cut.

The value plate on the hob indicates the gas type intended for use. Connection to the main gas course or gas type shall be realized after controlling the adjustment as per the gas type.

Note that LPG hoods should have standards stamp and 300 mmSS (30mbar) of outlet pressure.

Natural gas pressure is 200 mmSS (20mbar). Please consult the authorized service for conversion to natural gas or LPG.

Use only piping, gaskets, or stamps as per the applicable national standards.

If the unit will be connected to a flexible hose, the length of the hose shall not exceed 120 cm.

Before starting works related to gas installation, please cut the gas supply.

Make the connection so that no pressure will be applied on the connection records and piping. Make sure that the pipe will not cause any clogging or contact with sharp corners.

NOTE: Replace the gas hose of your hob every 4 to 5 years even if it is undamaged.

NOTE: Check for any gas leakage after the connection with soap and water. Do not ever use a flame.

Make sure that no additional weight is applied to the gas hose.

Apply the following order for installation:

1. In order: male adaptor cylindrical, gasket, female gas adaptor, conical-cylindrical or cylindrical components.

2. Tighten the connection place with keys so that the pipes are in the proper position.

3. Attach C coupling to the main gas source by using a hard copper pipe or flexible steel pipe.

WARNING: Finally, check whether any leakage exists at the pipes with a soap solution, and do not ever use a flame.


How do I adjust the hob for different gas types?

These instructions are for specialist personnel. All gas-related work should be conducted when the electric connection is cut.

To convert the hob, remove the burner plates and flame circles. Replace the injectors with those of suitable diameters as defined in the user’s manual. Conduct the work with a plain tip screwdriver at a position to see the valve setting screw by removing the switches of the hob and rubber seals. To set the low flame level, turn the gas setting screw on the valve to have minimum gas setting flow. Do this setting after installing the burner components, igniting the burner, and bringing the switch setting to minimum.

The flow setting screw should be tightened in LPG conversions and released for conversion from LPG to natural gas.


How do I start the appliance and ignite the burners?

FIRING OF BURNER (Manual Ignition)

If your hob does not have a built-in lighter or during a blackout, place a naked flame over the burner and push the switch to bring it to the desired position with a counter-clockwise movement. Gas adjustment should be between maximum and minimum levels, not between maximum and off positions. To close the burner, turn the switch clockwise until it reaches the “off” position.

MODELS EQUIPPED WITH LIGHTER SWITCH (Automatic ignition)

To burn one of the burners, press the switch down and bring the switch to the maximum position. When it burns, the flame is adjusted to the desired intensity with the switch.

For the hob to operate properly, the grills and burner components should be properly positioned. Make sure that the flame of your burner is blue and works quietly. If the burner flame is yellow or noisy, ensure that all burners fit properly. If the flame color does not change to blue, apply to the authorized service.

How do I operate the gas burners?

To operate the burners, turn the control switch left-wise until reaching the maximum level. When you press the control switch, all burning igniters will have flame. Release the switch a few seconds after the burner ignites, and bring the control switch to the desired flame position between the maximum and minimum levels.

If the flame goes out when you release the switch, you should repeat the above process. But this time, press the switch and hold it for about 10 seconds.

WARNING: Do not use the burning system for more than 15 seconds. If the burner does not ignite within this time or if the flame is cut for any reason, repeat the burning process after waiting for 1 minute.

To close the burners, turn the control switch right-wise to close the hob.


How does the Flame Failure Device (FFD) work?

All burners on your hob are equipped with a Flame Failure Device system to protect against flame extinguishing risks (e.g., water flow, wind). When the flame goes out while the burner switch is open, this system will prevent the cutting of the gas supplied to the burner. If the burning of the burner is cut due to safety, repeat the burning operation by switching the burner switch to the off position.


What are the instructions for using the hot-plate burner?

Warnings

Before use, the electrical plate should be elevated to the maximum level and rested for 5 minutes without any container on it. It is normal if any smell or smoke rises from the plate; such effects will disappear after normal use.

After the first use, do not operate the electrical plate without any container on it.

Use containers with thick bottoms suitable for the plate size. Never use smaller sole containers.

Pay attention that no liquid and wet containers are placed on the plate.

Avoid any contact of vinegar, salt, lemon juice, etc., with the plate. Do not use a spatula or similar sharp objects for cleaning joints between the glass and metal surfaces or aluminum parts on the hob.

Basic Settings

The electrical plate is managed with a switch to select the proper power for the food you will cook.

Turning on the Plate: Bring the control switch to the proper position by turning it right or left according to the cooking type, food quantity, and using the scheme below. The red warning light will be on when the switch is set to any value other than the off position.

What are the recommended pan diameters for each burner type?

The pan diameter and the burner power should match to be used efficiently. The proper diameters for each burner are given in the table. Select the proper pan diameter and volume to define the proper burner.

What are the recommendations for using pans and grills on the hob?

The pan grills on the hob are designed for safe use. Make sure the grills are placed properly and their legs fit well.

Do not use pans with deformed soles which may cause instability on the grills.

Do not cook with pans without a lid or with semi-closed pans to avoid energy loss.

Do not place containers directly on the burner covers; use the grill always.

Place the cooking pan on the burner evenly. Inappropriately placed containers may be tipped.

Do not place large containers at the side of the switch, as they may be damaged. Do not place pans on the grills harshly.

Do not heat pans when empty. The pan sole may be deformed, and the heat may damage the burner table surface.

Cold liquids should not be thrown on the glass surface or burners when the surface is hot.

Do not place sharp objects on the hob.

Do not use pans that transfer excessive heat to the bottom surface directly.

In the event of any fire, do not attempt to extinguish the flames with water. Close the electric circuit of the hob and use a material like a flame blanket to cut the flame.

This device should not be operated with a timer or remote control.

Use flat-soled pans on the hob. This way, thermal energy will be used to the maximum.

It is not recommended to use concave pans.

Use pans with proper diameters. Do not use smaller pans than the diameter of the burner. When small pans are used, it may cause overflowing and reduce the efficiency of the hob.

Use dry-soled pans on the burner. Do not place the cover of the pan, especially wet ones, on the burner.


How should I maintain and clean the hob?

Please comply with the following rules before cleaning and maintenance.

Close the unit for safety purposes. If your device is set to natural gas, close the valve. For LPG hobs, close the hood.

Take out the plug of your unit from the wall socket.

If the hob is hot, wait until it has cooled.

To use the glass hob and grills for longer periods, clean them with appropriate cleaning agents at certain intervals.

Cleaning on stainless surfaces should be conducted in accordance with the steel surfaces, and the surface should be dried preferably with a soft leather part.

To avoid any damage to the burning system, do not use it when the burners are not installed.

After cleaning the thermo-coupled plug and safety system, clean it to place the burners in a suitable manner.

Wash the upper burning heads at certain intervals with water and clean and dry the gas channels with a brush. Pay attention to install the burning heads on their places.

When you clean the burner, do not use acid, thinner, benzene, or similar chemicals.

You need to clean your glass hob and its grills with suitable cleaning agents to use it for a longer period.

It should be cleaned with suitable cleaners for stains and oil.

Harsh cleaning agents, stain removers and detergents, wire wool, and sponges should not be used.

Do not allow heating of the pans when empty as the heat accumulated at the bottom may damage the glass surface.

No cold liquid should be poured on the glass surface or the burners when they are hot. The glass may crack due to thermal shock.

Clean the hob regularly after waiting for it to cool after each use to keep it in the best manner.

Do not take out the control switches in any manner during cleaning.

Enamel Parts: All enamel parts are used by using water with soap and suitable detergents. The hob should be dried thoroughly after the process.

Pan Supports: Enamel grills may be washed in the dishwasher.

Burner: The burners, consisting of two parts, may be cleaned by using detergent. The burners should be dried after the cleaning process and placed back delicately. In electronic ignition models, the electrode should be kept clean at all times. In safety valve models, the valve should be cleaned for failsafe operation. After completion of the process, the burners should be placed back in their placement. The burning system should not be used when burners are not in their places to avoid damage to the electronic ignition system.


How do I troubleshoot common problems with the hob?
