NOTE: Replace the gas hose of your hob every 4 to 5 years, even if it is undamaged.
NOTE: Check for any gas leakage after connection with soap and water. Do not ever use a flame.
How do I adjust the hob for different gas types?
These instructions are for specialist personnel with the required competence. All gas-related work should be conducted when the electric connection is cut.
To convert the hob, remove the burner plates and flame circles. Replace the injectors with those of suitable diameters as defined in the user’s manual.
Remove the hob switches and rubber seals to access the valve setting screw. Use a plain tip screwdriver to adjust it.
To set the low flame level, turn the gas setting screw on the valve to achieve minimum gas flow. Perform this setting after installing the burner components, igniting the burner, and bringing the switch setting to minimum.
The flow setting screw should be tightened for LPG conversions and released for conversion from LPG to natural gas.
After completing the conversion, reconnect the rubber seals and switches in the same order.
How do I start the appliance and ignite the burners?
For the hob to operate properly, the grills and burner components must be positioned correctly.
Make sure the flame of your burner is blue and burns quietly. If the burner flame is yellow or noisy, ensure all burners are fitted properly. If the flame color does not change to blue, contact an authorized service.
Firing the Burner (Manual Ignition)
If your hob does not have a built-in lighter or during a power outage, place a naked flame over the burner and push the switch to bring it to the desired position with a counter-clockwise movement. Gas adjustment should be between maximum and minimum levels. To close the burner, turn the switch clockwise to the “off” position.
Models with Automatic Ignition
To ignite a burner, press the switch down and turn it to the maximum position. Once it burns, adjust the flame to the desired intensity with the switch.
If the flame goes out when you release the switch, repeat the process, but this time press and hold the switch for about 10 seconds.
WARNING: Do not use the burning system for more than 15 seconds. If the burner does not ignite within this time or if the flame is cut for any reason, repeat the process after waiting for 1 minute.
Closing the Burners
Turn the control switch right-wise (clockwise) to close the hob.
Flame Failure Device (FFD)
All burners on your hob are equipped with a Flame Failure Device system to prevent gas flow if the flame is extinguished (e.g., due to water flow, wind). If the flame goes out while the burner switch is open, this system will cut the gas supply to the burner. If the flame is cut for safety, repeat the ignition operation by turning the burner switch to the off position first.
