3. Secure the unit on the counter using the installation sheet and screws.
How do I connect the hob to the electrical and gas supply?
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Electrical connection should be conducted by a competent and authorized person.
The electric cable of your hob should not be laid in hot regions.
If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced with a special cable from a special cable agency or authorized service dealer.
Do not use a reducer, adapter, or switch for electrical connection, as it can cause excessive heat and fire.
Plug the electric cable into a grounded wall socket. The supply data of the electric network should be suitable with the data on the type label of the unit.
GAS CONNECTION
These instructions are for specialist personnel. All gas-related work should be done when the electric connection is cut.
The value plate on the hob indicates the intended gas type. Connection to the main gas course or gas type shall be realized after controlling the adjustment as per the gas type.
Note that LPG hobs should have a standards stamp and 300 mmSS (30mbar) of outlet pressure. Natural gas pressure is 200 mmSS (20mbar).
Use only piping, gaskets, or stamps as per the applicable national standards.
If the unit will be connected to a flexible hose, the length of the hose shall not exceed 120 cm.
Before starting gas installation work, cut the gas supply.
Make the connection so that no pressure is applied on the connection records and piping. Ensure the pipe will not cause any clogging or contact with sharp corners.
NOTE: Replace the gas hose of your hob every 4 to 5 years, even if it is undamaged.
NOTE: Check for any gas leakage after connection with soap and water. Do not ever use a flame.
How do I adjust the hob for different gas types?
These instructions are for specialist personnel. All gas-related work should be conducted when the electrical connection is cut.
1. To convert the hob, remove the burner plates and flame circles. Replace the injectors with those of suitable diameters as defined in the user’s manual.
2. To access the valve setting screw, remove the hob switches and rubber seals.
3. To set the low flame level, turn the gas setting screw on the valve to achieve minimum gas flow. This setting is done after installing and lighting the burner and bringing the switch setting to minimum.
4. The flow setting screw should be tightened in LPG conversions. It should be released for conversion from LPG to natural gas.
5. After realization of the hob, complete the conversion by connecting the rubber seals and switches in the same order.
How do I light the gas burners?
For hobs without built-in lighter (Manual Ignition):
1. Place a naked flame over the burner.
2. Push the switch and turn it counter-clockwise to the desired position.
3. Gas adjustment should be between maximum and minimum levels. To close the burner, turn the switch clockwise to the “off” position.
For hobs with a Lighter Switch (Automatic Ignition):
1. To light a burner, press the switch down and turn it to the maximum position.
2. Once it burns, adjust the flame to the desired intensity with the switch.
Important Notes:
For the hob to operate properly, the grills and burner components must be properly positioned.
Ensure the flame is blue and burns quietly. If the flame is yellow or noisy, check that all burners fit properly. If the flame color doesn’t change to blue, apply to the authorized service.
How do I operate the gas burners?
1. Turn the control switch left-wise until it reaches the maximum level.
2. When you press the control switch, all burning igniters will activate to create a flame.
3. Release the switch a few seconds after the burner has lit, and then turn the control switch to the desired flame position between the maximum and minimum levels.
4. If the flame goes out when you release the switch, repeat the process, but this time press and hold the switch for about 10 seconds.
WARNING: Do not use the burning system for more than 15 seconds. If the burner does not ignite within this time, or if the flame extinguishes, wait for 1 minute before repeating the process.
To turn off the hob, turn the control switch right-wise to the “off” position.
Flame Failure Device (FFD): All burners are equipped with an FFD system to prevent gas flow if the flame is extinguished (due to water flow, wind, etc.). If the burner is cut off for safety, repeat the lighting operation by switching the burner switch to the off position first.
How do I use the electric hot-plate burner?
Warnings:
Before first use, the plate should be elevated to the maximum level and left for 5 minutes without any container on it. It is normal if any smell or smoke rises from the plate; this will disappear with normal use.
After the first use, do not operate the electrical plate without a container on it.
Use containers with thick bottoms suitable for the plate size. Never use smaller sole containers.
Do not place liquid or wet containers on the plate.
Avoid contact with vinegar, salt, lemon juice, etc. on the plate.
