What are the requirements for installing the gas hob?

Installation must be conducted by an authorized service dealer according to the instructions.

Pre-Installation Warnings:

ATTENTION: Before installation, check that the gas type and pressure stated on the product label match your home’s supply. For gas type changes, call the authorized service dealer.

Ensure the unit is undamaged after unpacking. If in doubt, consult the dealer.

Cut off the electric connection from the main switch during installation.

The counter and materials used must be suitable and resistant to heat.

Installation Location and Ventilation:

The equipment should be mounted in a well-ventilated place. The materials of the counter and partitions should be resistant to at least 100°C.

A safe distance should be left between the hob and counter walls.

The cutout hole in the counter should be as per the dimensions specified in the manual’s diagrams.

The distance between the hob’s bottom surface and any partition below it should be at least 25 mm.

The distance between the cooktop and another device above it (e.g., a kitchen hood) must be at least 700 mm.

If a 60 cm hob is placed above a built-in oven without a cooling system, a 300 cm² ventilation hole is recommended for air circulation. If a 75 cm or 90 cm cooktop is placed above an oven, the oven must have a cooling fan.

There must be 200 cm of space at the side wall of the cabinet.

Proper ventilation is required for safe operation. The air for burning is taken from the environment, and burnt gases are released into the environment. Ventilation openings should be sized according to the volume of the room, as shown in the table below:

VOLUME OF THE ROOM (m³) VENTILATION OPENING (cm²)
Less than 5 m³ Minimum 100 cm²
Between 5 m³ and 10 m³ Minimum 50 cm²
Larger than 10 m³ Not required
Basement or Cellar Minimum 65 cm²

Burnt gases should be discharged outside by a hood with a flue. If no hood is used, an electrical ventilator should be installed to discharge 3-5 times the kitchen air volume.

Fixing the Hob to the Counter:

To prevent liquids from getting between the hob and the counter, attach the adhesive gasket around the counter hole without overlapping.

Place the hob on the counter hole, centering it.

Secure the unit to the counter using the provided installation sheet and screws.

How do I make the electrical and gas connections?

Electrical Connection:

Electrical connection should be conducted by a competent and authorized person.

The electric cable of your hob should not be laid in hot regions.

If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced with a special cable from an authorized service dealer.

Do not use reducers, adapters, or switches, as they can cause excessive heat and fire.

Plug the electric cable into a grounded wall socket. The manufacturer is not liable for failures due to improper grounding.

The supply data of the electric network must match the data on the type label of the unit.

Gas Connection:

These instructions are for specialist personnel. All gas-related work should be done with the electricity disconnected.

The value plate on the hob indicates the intended gas type. Connection to the gas main or cylinder should be done after confirming the hob is adjusted for that gas type.

Use only piping, gaskets, or stamps as per applicable national standards.

If the unit is connected to a flexible hose, its length shall not exceed 120 cm.

Before starting, cut the gas supply.

Make the connection so that no pressure is applied to the connection points and piping. Ensure the pipe will not be clogged or contact sharp corners.

Note that the gas hose should not be laid through hot areas.

NOTE: Replace the gas hose every 4 to 5 years, even if it appears undamaged.

NOTE: After connection, check for any gas leakage with soap and water. Never use a flame.

Apply the following order for installation:

1. In order: male adaptor cylindrical, gasket, female gas adaptor, conical-cylindrical or cylindrical components.

2. Tighten the connection place with keys so the pipes are in the proper position.

3. Attach the C coupling to the main gas source using a hard copper pipe or flexible steel pipe.

WARNING: Finally, check for any leakage at the pipes with a soap solution. Do not ever use a flame.

How do I adjust the hob for different gas types?

This work should be done by specialist personnel with the electricity cut off.

To convert the hob, remove the burner plates and flame circles.

Replace the injectors with new ones of a suitable diameter as defined in the user’s manual.

To access the valve setting screw, remove the control knobs and rubber seals.

To set the low flame level, turn the gas setting screw on the valve to achieve minimum gas flow. This setting should be done after installing the burner components, lighting the burner, and bringing the switch setting to minimum.

The flow setting screw should be tightened for LPG conversions and loosened for conversion from LPG to natural gas.

After conversion, complete the process by reconnecting the rubber seals and knobs in the same order.

How do I start the appliance and light the burners?

Firing the Burner (Manual Ignition):

If your hob does not have a built-in lighter or during a blackout, place a naked flame over the burner.

Push the control knob and turn it counter-clockwise to the desired position (between maximum and minimum).

To close the burner, turn the switch clockwise to the “off” position.

MODELS EQUIPPED WITH LIGHTER SWITCH (Automatic Ignition):

To light a burner, press the control knob down and turn it to the maximum position.

Once it lights, adjust the flame to the desired intensity with the switch.

Important Notes:

Ensure the grills and burner components are properly positioned for the hob to operate correctly.

Make sure the flame of your burner is blue and burns quietly. If the flame is yellow or noisy, check that all burner parts fit properly. If the flame color doesn’t change to blue, contact an authorized service.

How do I operate the gas burners?

Turn the control switch left-wise (counter-clockwise) until it reaches the maximum level. When you press the control switch, all burning igniters will activate.

Release the switch a few seconds after the burner ignites, and then turn the control switch to the desired flame position between the maximum and minimum levels.

If the flame goes out when you release the switch, repeat the process, but this time press and hold the switch for about 10 seconds.

WARNING: Do not use the burning system for more than 15 seconds. If the burner does not light within this time, or if the flame goes out for any reason, wait for 1 minute before repeating the process.

Closing the burners: Turn the control switch right-wise (clockwise) to close the hob.

What is the Flame Failure Device (FFD) and how does it work?

All burners on your hob are equipped with a Flame Failure Device (FFD) system. This system prevents gas from being supplied to the burner if the flame is extinguished for any reason (e.g., water flow, wind). If the burner flame is cut for safety reasons, repeat the lighting operation by switching the burner switch to the off position first.

How do I operate the electric hot-plate burner?

Warnings:

Before first use, the electrical plate should be heated to the maximum level for 5 minutes without any container on it. It is normal for some smell or smoke to appear; this will disappear with normal use.

After the first use, do not operate the electrical plate without a container on it.

Use containers with thick, flat bottoms suitable for the plate size. Never use smaller-soled containers.

Do not place liquid or wet containers on the plate.

Avoid contact with vinegar, salt, lemon juice, etc., on the plate.

Do not use spatulas or similar sharp objects to clean joints between the glass, metal, or aluminum parts of the hob.

Basic Settings:

The electrical plate is managed with a power control switch. The available settings are typically:

Position 0: Off

Position 1: Low (Heating)

Position 2: Medium (Quick heating and frying)

Position 3: High (Frying)

Turning on the Plate:

Bring the control switch to the proper position by turning it. The red warning light will be on when the switch is set to any value other than the off position.

To close the plate:

Bring the control switch to the 0 position. The warning light will go off.

What are the recommendations for using pans and grills?

The pan diameter and burner power should match for efficient use. Use the correct pan diameter and volume for the proper burner.
