Here is an overview of the remote control functions:

1. Power: Press to enter or exit standby mode.

2. Source: Displays the list of input source channels.

3. LIST: Open the List menu.

4. Account: Switch account.

5. info: Displays the current program information.

6. Direction buttons (^/v/): For navigating menus and settings.

7. Google Assistant: To launch the built-in virtual assistant for voice commands.

8. Back: To the previous menu.

9. Dashboard: Contains user account, settings page, input source list, weather panel, image settings, notifications, etc.

10. Quick Menu: To display TV options with optional, adjustable settings.

11. ok: Enter select the current item or confirm selection, display Channel list in DTV mode.

12. Home: To access the home page.

Before you get started, spread cushioning flat to lay the TV on to prevent damage.

1. Charge the remote control’s solar panels:

a. There is a film on the solar panel. Please tear it off before use. Failure to tear the film will affect the charging efficiency of the solar panel.

b. When you use it for the first time, it is recommended to charge the remote control first, and use the USB-C (5V/2A) charger for charging.

c. When it is not in use, please keep the remote controller facing upward, so that the solar panel can charge the remote controller.

2. Stand assembly:

a. Attach stands to the base of the TV, ensuring ‘L’ and ‘R’ markings on the TV and stands match.

b. Insert two 20mm screws for each stand and use a Phillips head screwdriver (not supplied) to tighten.

3. Connect to antenna:

a. Connect an antenna cable (not supplied) via the ‘ANT’ input port at the back of the TV.

b. Ensure the antenna cable is also connected to a working antenna, either via an antenna wall socket in your home, or directly.

4. Turning TV on:

Plug the power cord into a suitable power outlet, then press the POWER button on the remote control, making sure to aim it at the sensor at the front of the TV. Alternatively, you can press the power button on the lower side of the back panel on the TV.

Press the POWER button on the remote control to enter standby mode. To power down the TV completely, unplug the power cord from the power outlet.

Do not leave your set in standby mode for long periods of time. If you will not use the TV for a long time, it is recommended to unplug the set from both the power outlet and aerial.

When turning the TV on for the first time, the Welcome screen will appear. Use the ^, v, and OK buttons to navigate the following options:

Language: Select your menu language.

Select TV mode: The ‘home mode’ is optimised for efficient usage for home use. The ‘retail mode’ is optimised for store demo with fixed settings.

Select your Wi-Fi network: Your Google TV will automatically scan for wireless networks nearby. Ensure the TV is within range of your wireless modem or router, and have your password handy. Follow the prompts to input your password and connect your TV to your selected network. If you’d prefer to connect an Ethernet cable to connect to the internet, simply insert the cable (not supplied) to the LAN input port at the back of the TV, and ensure that it is correctly connected to the internet.

Use your Google Account: In your Google account you get movies and TV shows from your favourite streaming apps, personalised recommendations, Google Assistant, search and control your TV with your voice, live TV, external devices and basic TV.

Terms of Service: By accepting the Google Terms of Service to improve the product experience, select “Accept” to proceed.

Search across all your TV apps: Allow it to share your requests with your TV’s apps. Without this permission, Google Assistant may not be able to find all the content from your TV’s apps.

Region or Country selection: Use ^/v buttons to select your region or country, then press OK to confirm.

Remote & accessories: Your Google TV remote control has bluetooth capabilities. Follow the onscreen prompts to pair the remote with the TV. This will allow you to use voice commands with your remote via the Google Assistant button.

Following these options, the Auto Tuning screen will appear. Ensure you have an antenna cable connected to the ‘ANT’ input port at the back of the TV. The auto tuning function will search for and save all available free-to-air TV channels. After confirming your settings, the process will automatically begin. The number of searched channels will be displayed on the screen. When setup is complete, you will be able to access the Home page.

eARC stands for Enhanced Audio Return Channel. If you want to use the eARC function on your KOGAN KAQL75MQ8ZTA, follow these steps:

1. Set the EDID version to 2.1 by navigating to Settings -> Channels & Inputs -> Inputs -> select HDMI port -> HDMI EDID Version.

2. The eARC switch needs to be turned on by navigating to Settings -> Display & Sound -> Sound -> eARC.

Note that HDMI2 supports the eARC/ARC function.

The Home Page includes the following features:

1. Dashboard: Contains user account, settings page, input source list, weather panel, image settings, notifications, etc.

2. Text search: Enter text manually to search TV apps.

3. For you: Displays application recommendations, new episodes your shows, resume what you’re watching, top picks for your shows & apps.

4. Live: The content of the TV channel recommended by Google.

5. Notification: Advertising, new arrivals, warnings and legal statements, and system messages.

6. Apps: Access the App Centre to display all installed apps. Free-to-air channels can be accessed under the ‘Live TV’ option.

7. Library: View records, manage watch list.

Note: The layout and functions of the home page will change dynamically with the version of the launcher. All pictures in the Quick Start Guide are for reference only.

To access the global settings menu, under the Home interface, press the > key until the Dashboard menu appears, then press the arrow keys to move to the Settings icon. Here you will find all of the adjustable options for Google TV’s interface, connectivity, and apps.

Options for your Live TV (channel scan, channel edit, picture, screen, sound, etc.) can be accessed by pressing the Quick Menu button on your remote control. Use the arrow buttons to navigate through the submenus.

If you are experiencing poor picture and sound quality, try the following:

• Try a different channel

• Adjust the antenna

• Check all connections

If your TV has no picture or sound, please check the following:

• Try another channel

• Press the TV/AV button

• Make sure the TV is plugged in

• Check the antenna connection

If you are having sound issues, try these steps:

• Check the volume settings on any external speakers connected to your television

• Adjust the TV volume accordingly

• Check another channel or input

• Check that MUTE hasn’t been turned on

If you have no colour, wrong colour, or tints, follow these steps:

• Make sure the program itself is broadcast in colour

• Select the picture menu, then adjust the HUE and Color Tuner

If the picture rolls vertically, check all connections.

For a blurred, snowy, or distorted picture and sound, try the following:

• Check direction, location and connections to your antenna

• Issues may be caused by the use of an indoor antenna (poor signal)

If you are experiencing remote control malfunctions, check these points:

• Remote is out of range, move closer to the TV

• Remove any obstructions between the remote and IR sensor of the TV

• Make sure the power cord to your TV is plugged in and turned on

To fix a non-centered image, adjust the horizontal and vertical position.

If you see a “No Signal” message on an HDMI source, try these troubleshooting steps:

• Test the device with a different HDMI cable

• Plug the device into another HDMI port

• Try a different device connected to the same cable and port

• Perform a factory reset on your TV
