What are the key operational safety precautions for the HITACHI HES-60HM?
The following are critical safety warnings and cautions for the HITACHI HES-60HM:
Warnings:
The Multipoint Electric Water Heater unit must be earthed. Improper grounding could cause electric shock.
Do not install, remove, and reinstall the unit by yourself. Improper installation will cause leakage, electric shock, or fire. Please engage an authorized dealer or specialist for the installation work.
After setting the Multipoint Electric Water Heater unit, it must be sealed by Plaseal to protect water from the outside into the unit. If not sealed, water may get into the unit, which may cause electric shock, short circuit, or fire hazards.
Do not share the inlet pipe of the Multipoint Electric Water Heater unit with other outlets. The pressure may drop due to water being drawn off at another point, and the shower water temperature may become too hot.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

The unit must be installed on the wall as pictured in the manual.
2. Opening the cover out of the unit base:
Pull out the temperature control knob.
Remove the screw at the bottom of the unit.
Pull out the cover from the bottom first and release the side locks at the top.
3. Install on concrete, brick, or ceramic wall:
Drill holes on the wall.
Insert the plug into the holes.
Tighten two screws in the top plug leaving about 3 to 4 mm of space. Next, hang the heater unit on the screws and move to tighten the 4 screws. Seal the holes with plaseal.

How do I connect the water hose and electrical wiring for the HITACHI HES-60HM?
Water Hose Installation:
Use proper tools for the installation. Never tighten the plastic nuts until they break.
Tighten the plastic nuts to prevent water leakage.
Warning: Do not forget to put in the rubber rings on the water inlet and the water outlet hose. Do not use any tape at the inlet and outlet water tubes. Do not adjust or modify the safety valve by yourself.
Connection of the Wires:
Before working on any electrical part, turn off the circuit breaker first.
Use 6 sq. mm. wire for wiring.
Connect the wire directly from the switch-board of the house and install a circuit breaker outside the bathroom.
The Multipoint Electric Water Heater must be installed permanently together with the electric line, joined with a 2-electrode circuit breaker with a separation of at least 3 mm. The breaker must be easily visible outside of the bathroom.
How do I connect the wiring inside the HITACHI HES-60HM and install the ground rod?
Connect the wiring:
1. Punch a hole at the rubber ring on the unit base. Then insert the electric cable from the back.
2. Strip the cable and connect to the earth leakage circuit breaker (ELCB). Connect the line to the terminal L and the NEUTRAL to the N and secure it tightly with screws.
3. Connect the stripped ground wire to the ground terminal of the heater base.
Important: You must connect the wires to the correct terminals (L and N). Wrong connection of the terminals can cause abnormality in the circuit, which may damage the unit or cause a short circuit.
Install the Ground Rod:
1. Choose a humid area to put the copper electrode. The minimum length of the copper electrode is 90 cm.
2. The ground rod must be put under the ground at a minimum of 70 cm away from the ground surface.
3. Make sure that the resistance of the ground must not exceed 100 ohms.
4. If the resistance exceeds 100 ohms, it may be necessary to put two or three electrodes for grounding.
How do I perform an operation test on the HITACHI HES-60HM after installation?
