What are the main features of this washing machine?

This washing machine includes several key features:

Large-sized Spin Dryer Basket: You can load and unload the basket with laundry with ease.

“AIR JET” (Spinning with Blowing AIR): During the dry function, water content of laundries is blown away by dried blowing air, allowing them to dry earlier than with usual spinning time.

Convenient Collars & Cuffs Washboard: This feature lets you hand wash certain areas to remove stubborn dirt that regular washing doesn’t easily remove, such as dirt on collars and cuffs, stains on aprons, and dirt on the heels of socks.

What are the general safety precautions for using this washer?

This washing machine is designed for home use only. Please observe the following precautions:

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Persons other than a repair technician must not disassemble, repair, or modify the unit.

• Use a single socket rated at 5A or more. Using an outlet with another power plug inserted may cause fire from abnormal heat.

• If the prongs of the power plug are soiled with dirt or dust, wipe them off with a clean cloth.

• Ensure you apply the specified voltage to the unit to avoid electric shock or fire.

• If the lid lock does not unlock after 10 minutes from the spin dryer basket stopping, please contact a service dealer for repair.

• Always pull the power plug from the socket when maintaining the unit. Do not pull it out with wet hands.

• The earth lead must be properly connected.

• Do not install the washer in a bathroom or outdoors where it is exposed to wind, rain, or high humidity.

• During maintenance, avoid applying water directly onto any unit section.

• Never touch the laundry in the spin dryer basket until it comes to a full stop, as even slow spinning can cause injury.

• Do not allow infants to look into the washing tub or spin dryer basket, and do not place a stand nearby.

• Do not damage, break, process, bend, pull, distort, or bind the power cord. Do not place heavy objects on it.

• Do not use the unit if the power cord or plug is damaged, or if the plug insertion in the socket is loose.

What items should not be placed in the washing machine?

To prevent fire or explosion, never put any of the following things into the washing tub or spin dryer basket:

• Kerosene

• Gasoline

• Benzene

• Alcohol

• Thinners

• Clothes wet with any of these substances

Additionally, do not wash, rinse, or spin dry waterproof sheets and clothes (e.g., sleeping bag, diaper cover, sauna suit, wet suit, rain coat, and covers for bicycles, motorcycles, and cars), as this may cause the laundry to jump out or generate abnormal vibrations, resulting in injury or damage.

What are the specific cautions for operating the washing machine?

• When unplugging, be sure to hold the insulated body of the power plug, not the cord.

• Do not place your hand into the washing machine while it is in operation. Even slow spinning can cause injury. Be sure to turn the timer OFF first.

• Use hot water of 50°C or below for washing to prevent deformation of plastic parts.

• Do not step on the washing machine or place any heavy objects on it.

• Keep the power plug unplugged when not using the unit for an extended period.

• Do not place your hand or foot underneath the washing machine while it is in use.

• Place the inner cover correctly in the spin dryer basket when you spin-dry laundry.

What are the precautions for proper use and maintenance?

• Keep the washer away from heat sources or flame (candles, mosquito coils, cigarettes, heaters, etc.).

• When maintaining the washer, do not use benzene, thinner, cleanser, wax, or slightly alkaline detergent. Never scrub it with a scrub brush.

• If you find that water pressure is too high, close the faucet accordingly.

• Close the washer lid, if necessary, when water splashes.

• After using the machine, be sure to pull out the power plug from the socket.

• Avoid machine-washing and spin-drying shoes.

• If installing on a carpet floor, the opening underneath must not be obstructed.

How do I use the operating panel controls?

Water Supply Selector: Use this to choose whether to supply water to the washing tub or the spin dryer basket. If you set it to the “SPIN” position, “Preliminary spinning” will be activated, which can reduce the time for the main rinsing.

Wash Timer: Use this timer to set the washing or rinsing time. If you want to set the timer to 5 minutes or less, turn the control beyond the 10-minute position, and then turn it back to the desired position. For the soak function, dial the wash timer to 35 minutes.

Mode/Drain Selector: Use this selector to choose either “Wash Mode (NORMAL or SOFT)” or “Drain”.

Spin Timer: Turn this selector to your desired spin-dry time. If you want to set it for 1 minute or less, turn the selector beyond the 2-minute position and then turn it back.

How do I prepare the machine for washing?

1. Confirm that the connection of the earth lead is made correctly.

2. Pull down the water drain hose.

3. Connect the water supply joint with a water supply hose. Insert the water supply joint into the water supply inlet (diameter 15 mm).

4. Connect the power plug to the power outlet.

What is the procedure for a standard wash cycle?

1. Set the MODE/DRAIN SELECTOR to “NORMAL” or “SOFT”.

2. Set the water supply selector to the “WASH” position.

3. Add water to the washing tub and dissolve the detergent well. To do this, fill the tub with water until the drain filter is submerged, add detergent, and set the wash timer for about two minutes.

4. Put your laundry in the tub and add water until it reaches a suitable level for the load.

5. Select your desired water current.

6. Set the washing time according to your needs.

7. When washing is finished, set the mode/drain selector to “Drain” to discharge the water.

How do I perform preliminary spinning?

Before rinsing, it is recommended to perform preliminary spinning to remove as much soapy water as possible. This will also reduce time and water for rinsing.

1. Open the Spin dryer lid and Inner safety lid.

2. Put the laundry into the spin dryer basket evenly and place the inner cover horizontally inside.

3. Close the Inner safety lid and Spin dryer lid.

4. Set the spin timer to 2 to 3 minutes to start the spinning action.

For rinsing preparation:

• Perform the spinning for 2 to 3 minutes.

• Then, supply water to the spin dryer basket for about 1 minute.

• Following that, carry out the spin action for 1 minute.

What are the different rinsing methods?

You can perform either “pool rinse” or “extra rinse”.

Pool Rinse: This is recommendable to save water. It rinses the laundry with the pooled water kept in the washing tub.

Extra Rinse: This method rinses laundry completely. Water overflows from the tub during the rinse cycle for a thorough cleaning.

To perform a rinse:

1. Put laundry into the washing tub.

2. Set the mode/drain selector to “NORMAL” or “SOFT”.

3. Set the water supply selector to the “WASH” position and add water.

How do I spin-dry the laundry?

Put the laundry into the spin dryer basket and start spin-drying it. Follow the same procedures as for Preliminary spinning (steps 1, 5, and 6).

WARNING: Never put your hands into the spin dryer basket when it is spinning and until it comes to a full stop. If the basket does not stop within fifteen seconds after you open the lid, immediately stop using the washer and ask for repairs.

Recommended Spinning Times:

Laundry Spinning time
Linen (cotton, towel, etc.) 3 to 5 min.
Underwear (cotton) 2 to 4 min.
Shirt (blended yarn fabric) 1 to 2 min.
Thin clothes (chemical fibers) 1 min.

What are some helpful hints for rinsing and spinning?

Rinsing:

• To remove excess bubbles after rinsing, perform an “extra rinse” (water-circulation overflow rinsing) in Soft Mode for about one minute at the final stage.

• You can save water by washing clothes in the same water that was used for rinsing.

Spinning:

• Put small-sized laundry, such as socks and handkerchiefs, in the bottom area of the spin dryer basket to prevent them from popping out.

• If the washer makes an abnormal noise during the spin cycle, stop the operation and spread the laundry uniformly inside the spin dryer basket.

• For easy draining, be sure to drain the water remaining in the washing tub after the spin cycle is completed.

• If an article falls between the spin dryer basket and washing tub, unplug the power plug and call for service.

How do I wash delicate laundry like wool garments?

Precautions:

• Do not machine-wash items with only a “Dry Cleaning” label, animal hair materials (like cashmere, angora, mohair), or special knit items like lace.

Helpful Hints:

• Use detergent specified for the fabric and dissolve it well. It is recommended to use lukewarm water (about 30°C).

• Turn the laundry inside out and place it in a washing net.

• For heavily stained laundry, soak it in soapy water for about 5 minutes beforehand.

Recommended Cycles:

Wash current Wash time Preliminary spinning Extra rinsing Spinning
Soft 2 min. 30 sec. or less 2 min. 30 sec. or less

How do I wash blankets or comforters?

Only wash blankets that are labeled “Hand Washing” and are made of 100% chemical fibers (3.0 kg or less). For electric blankets, check their instruction manual and use a washing net.

How to Fold a Comforter/Blanket:

1. Fold the item in half lengthwise.

2. Fold it into thirds in an S-shape.

3. Roll the item up. The height should not exceed 30 cm.

4. Put the item into the spin dryer basket with the dirty side facing outward for better cleaning.

Note: Use a washing net if the size or weight of the comforter or blanket exceeds specifications, or if it exceeds 30 cm after being folded and rolled. This prevents it from popping out and damaging the machine.

Recommended Washing Course for Blankets (3.0 kg or less):

Wash current Washing time Spin time Pool rinse Spin Extra rinse Spin
Normal 5 min. 1 min. 2 min. 1 min. 2 min. 3 min.

What are some general hints for effective washing?

• Observe the “Instructions” on the tag attached to the clothes.

• To prevent tangling of wool garments, turn them inside out before washing.

• Put bulky laundry, such as sheets or jeans, into the washing tub first.

• Prior to washing, rub detergent beforehand into sections with heavy stains. You can use the hand washing corner to help.

• If clothes are extremely soiled, they may be dipped in soapy water in advance.

• Put laundry items that are likely to be easily damaged into a washing net before washing.

• Secure strings and close fasteners to prevent damage to clothes.

• Be sure to remove sharp-edged objects and foreign materials (hairpins, coins, etc.) from pockets before washing.

• Be sure to remove dirt or sand before washing to avoid damaging the tub or obstructing the drain pipe.

How do I clean the machine’s filters?

Lint Filter:

1. To remove, push the knob and pull the filter toward you lightly.

2. To clean, turn the net inside out and remove any waste threads. Lint is easier to remove when the filter net is wet.

3. To replace it, insert the lower shaft into the hole, align the upper shaft, and push it in.

Overflow Filter:

1. Pull the overflow filter forward to remove it.

2. Remove any waste threads. You can use a toothbrush to help clean the washing tub area.

3. Replace the overflow filter.

How do I properly install the washing machine?

Placement:

• Place the washer on a dry, well-ventilated, level floor. Avoid places where it can be exposed to direct sunlight.

Earth Lead Installation:

• A proper connection of the earth lead is necessary to prevent electric shock. Never connect the earth lead to a gas pipe, telephone line, lightning rod, or water pipe.

• For a 2-pin plug system, the earth lead must be properly connected. If your outlet has 2 holes, use a 3-hole adapter.

Water Drain Hose:

• If the hose is too long, use a knife to cut it at its straight section.

• If the drain hose raises in the halfway, put the washer on a base so that drain water can flow smoothly.

• When extending the drain hose, the length of the extension should be within 2 meters.

What should I check if the washer does not function at all?

• Is the fuse blown or has the circuit breaker switched off?

• Is there a poor connection between the power supply plug and the outlet?

• Is there any water remaining in the pulsator frozen?

What should I check if the laundry will not move smoothly?

• Is there an excessive amount of laundry put in the washing tub?

What should I check if the spin dryer basket will not function?

• Is the spin dryer lid closed completely?

• Are there any clothes (e.g., socks) that have fallen out of the spin dryer basket and are clung to the axis?

What could be the cause of incomplete spinning?

• Is the laundry spread evenly inside the spin dryer basket?

• Is the drain port closed with laundry that has fallen out of the tub or basket?

• Are there bubbles all around the spin dryer basket?

• Is the water drain hose raised in the halfway? Is the hose extended for more than 2 meters?

Why is washing water leaking from the hose or why is draining incomplete?

• Is the drain valve or drain outlet clogged with lint, dirt, or mud?

• Is the overflow filter clogged with lint?

• Is the drain hose crushed or damaged?

When should I stop using the washer and seek professional repair?

If you observe any of the following conditions or abnormalities, immediately switch off the power to prevent an accident and ask a dealer to inspect and repair the washer:

• The spin dryer basket is difficult to stop.

• There are water leaks from the hose, washing tub, joint, etc.

• There is a smell of burning or strange noise and vibration when the washer is in operation.

• You receive an electric shock when you touch the washer.

• The washer rattles or is installed on an inclined surface.

• When you turn on the switch, the washer sometimes does not operate.

• The timer sometimes stops functioning halfway.

• The power cord or plug is heated excessively.

• Any other failure and malfunction is found in the washer.
