How should I clean the TV?

Unplug the TV from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid, abrasive, or aerosol cleaners. Cleaners can permanently damage the cabinet and screen. Use a lightly dampened cloth for cleaning.


What should I know about wall mount brackets?

Wall mount bracket is only available for some models. If wall mount bracket is not supplied with this product, you can buy it at the local market.

How should I protect the TV from water and moisture?

Avoid dripping or splashing of liquids onto the product. Objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should not be placed above the product.


How should I set up the TV for stability?

Do not place this TV on an unstable cart, stand or table. Placing the TV on an unstable base can cause the TV to fall, resulting in serious personal injuries as well as damage to the TV. Use only a cart, stand, bracket or table recommended by the manufacturer or salesperson.


What are the ventilation requirements for the TV?

Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation, to ensure reliable operation of the TV and to protect it from overheating. Do not cover the ventilation openings in the cabinet and never place the set in a confined space such as built-in cabinet unless proper ventilation is provided. Leave a minimum 10cm gap all around the unit, the rear of the TV should be 6cm away from the wall.

How do I install the stand for 50″, 55″, or 65″ TV models?

1. Carefully place your TV face-up on a soft, flat surface to prevent damage to the TV or scratching to the screen.

2. Take out the 2 base stands, then insert the stands into the bottom slots of the TV.

3. Secure the base stands to the TV with the 4 screws in accessory tightly.


How do I install the stand for 75″ or 85″ TV models?

1. Carefully place your TV face-up on a soft, flat surface to prevent damage to the TV or scratching to the screen.

2. Take out the 2 stands from the accessory bag and then insert the stands into the bottom slots of the TV.

3. Secure the stands to the TV with the 4 screws (75″) / 6 screws (85″) in accessory tightly.

Note: If your table is long enough to place the TV on top of, then insert the stands into the screw holes ‘A’ that are shown in the illustration. If your table is NOT long enough, then insert the stands into the screw holes ‘B’ that are shown in the illustration. Note that these two installation methods cannot be mixed.


What should I do before mounting the TV on a wall?

Before mounting the TV, remove the TV stand if you have already attached it, and make sure the wall mount bracket supports the weight of your TV.

Place spacers between the TV and bracket.

Are there any specific recommendations for wall mounting?

When mounting the TV on a wall, follow instructions provided with the wall mount bracket. If it is not correctly mounted, the TV may fall and cause property damage or personal injury.

We do not recommend hanging the TV on a slanted wall, and when wall mounting make sure your television remains parallel to the wall and does not lean forward.

The diameter and length of the screws differ depending on the wall mount bracket model.

Wall mount bracket is optional, your device may not have wall mount bracket, please refer to the actual accessories.


How do I install the P-Clip for 50″, 55″, 65″, or 75″ TV models?

Please place the TV on a horizontally stable surface, and then use P-Clip to connect the TV and the wall or pillar.

1. Fix A part of P-Clip to the screw hole on the back of TV set with a M6×12 screw.

2. Select a suitable hole of P-Clip on B part and fix it to the wall or pillar with a ST4×25 screw.


How do I install the P-Clip for 85″ TV models?

Please place the TV on a horizontally stable surface, and then use P-Clip to connect the TV and the wall or pillar.

1. Fix the larger side of P-Clip to the screw hole on the back of TV set with a M8×30 screw.

2. Fix the other side of P-Clip to the wall or pillar.


What are the important notes regarding P-Clip installation?

Insecure installation may cause the tilt or falling of the product, and further lead to personal injuries or product damages. If the method above can not fix the product, please consult the manufacturers.

P-clip and corresponding screws may not included with TV set, please purchase them by yourself if necessary.


What are the functions of the Power indicator, Power button, Light sensor, and Built-in microphone control button on the TV?

Power indicator The light is white in standby mode.
Power button (Standby/Source) Press the button to turn the TV on. Press it again to bring up the control menu and move the focus between different inputs. Long press the button to make a selection.
Light sensor The light-sensing function automatically adjusts the TV’s backlight brightness to match the ambient light levels in the room, providing an optimised viewing experience. To enable or disable light sensor, please go to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode Settings > Advanced Settings > Brightness > Light Sensor settings, and toggle on or off Automatic Light Sensor as needed.
Built-in microphone control button Switch the built-in microphone control button to on to use the built-in microphone. After the Alexa or VIDAA Voice setup has been completed and Hands-Free mode is turned on, you can use Hands-Free Wake-up, just say “Alexa” or “Hey VIDAA” to call up the voice assistant.

What are some general notes for connecting devices to the TV?

Check the jacks for position and type before making any connections. Loose connections can result in image or colour problems. Make sure that all connections are tight and secure.

Not all A/V devices have the ability to connect to a TV, please refer to the user’s manual of your A/V device for compatibility and connections procedure.

Before connecting external equipment, remove the mains plug from the wall socket. Otherwise, it may cause electric shock.

Powering on the TV requires several seconds to load programmes. Do not rapidly turn the TV off as it may cause the TV work abnormally.

Before using Hands-Free Wake-up, connect your TV to the network. The Hands-Free Wake-up and some of its features are available on limited country/region/language.


What are the functions of the various TV terminals?

Terminals
ANT Connect an outdoor VHF/UHF antenna or cable.
HDMI Connect an HDMI cable from an external equipment.
HDMI (eARC) Connect an HDMI cable from an external digital audio system. Please note that it works only when the TV is connected to the audio receiver that supports the eARC function.
AV IN Connect a composite video cable and left-right audio cables from an external AV device.
USB Connect a USB device for browsing photos, listening to music and watching movies. When connecting a hard disk or a USB hub, always connect the mains adapter of the connected device to the power supply. If a USB 1.1 or USB2.0 device requires more than 500mA or 5V, the USB device may not be supported. Max supported current for USB 3.0 device is 1A (only for some models). Exceeding the max supported current may result in damage or data loss. Certain digital cameras may not be compatible with the TV.
DIGITAL AUDIO OUT Connect an optical cable from an external digital audio system.
LAN Connect an Ethernet cable to access a network or the Internet.
HEADPHONE Connect headphone for audio out of the TV. ATTENTION: Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss.

The location and names of the terminals on the TV may vary according to TV model, and not all terminals available on all models.


How do I connect the TV to my network using a wired connection (LAN)?

Connect your TV to your network by connecting the LAN port on the back of your TV to an external modem or router using a LAN (Ethernet/Cat 5) cable.

It is recommended to use a modem or router that supports Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). Modems and routers that support DHCP automatically provide the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS, so you don’t have to enter them manually. Most home networks already have DHCP.


How do I connect the TV to my network wirelessly?

To connect your TV to your network wirelessly, you need a wireless router or modem.

The built-in Wireless LAN Adapter supports the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac communication protocols. It is recommended to use IEEE 802.11ac router. Low transfer rates for b/g may have the influence on the quality of streamed videos and other media.


What are the notes for wireless network connection?

You must use the built-in Wireless LAN Adapter to use a wireless network because the set doesn’t support external USB network adapters.

If the wireless router supports DHCP, your TV can connect more easily to the wireless network.

If you apply a security system other than the systems listed below, it will not work with the TV. Security system: WPA, WEP, WPA2.

In order to guarantee smooth network, the distance between router and TV should be less than 10 metres.

How do I install batteries in the remote control?

1. Slide the back cover to open the battery compartment of the remote control.

2. Insert two AAA size batteries. Make sure to match the (+) and ( – ) ends of the batteries with the (+) and ( – ) ends indicated in the battery compartment.

3. Close the battery compartment with the cover.


What are the notes for handling remote control batteries?

Pair the remote to the TV after you power it on. Keep the remote control within 3 metres from the TV. Press any button (except power and mic button) to pair.

In special cases, press and hold the [≡] button to pair.


What should I do if an unknown error occurs with the remote control pairing?

If an unknown error occurred with the remote, then it could have been caused by interference. Try to remove what’s causing the interference and pair it again.

If an unknown error occurred in the remote control while the battery power is normal, you can take out the batteries, press any key for 1~2 seconds, and insert them back. Then the remote control will work normally.


Can the remote control be paired when the TV is in standby mode?

The remote cannot be paired to the TV while the TV is in standby mode.


What is the operation range for the remote control?

1. The remote control can work at a distance of up to 8 metres in front of the TV set.

2. The remote control angle: taking the remote sensor as an apex, 6 metres away, its controlled horizontal angle is within ±30°, while the vertical angle is within ±15°.

3. The operating distance may vary depending on the brightness of the room.


What is Freeview Plus?

Freeview Plus is a new television service delivered via broadband providing a state of the art Electronic Program Guide (EPG) and seamless access to catch-up TV across the free-to-air networks with the simple press of a button.


How does Freeview Plus work?

First ensure the TV is connected to internet and an antenna system. Then when you’re watching TV, you’ll briefly see a prompt at the top left of the screen. Press the ‘Green’ button on your remote to launch Freeview Plus.
