Please read and understand the entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product. Key safety precautions include:

• Before you begin installing the fan, disconnect the power by removing fuses or turning off the circuit breakers.

• Make sure all electrical connections comply with local codes, ordinances, the National Electrical Code and ANSI/NFPA 70-199. Hire a qualified electrician or consult a do-it-yourself wiring handbook if you are unfamiliar with installing electrical wiring.

• Make sure the installation site you choose allows a minimum clearance of 7 ft. from the blades to the floor and at least 30 in. from the end of the blades to any obstruction.

• The net weight of this fan is: 13.4 lb.

• To avoid personal injury, the use of gloves may be necessary while handling fan parts with sharp edges.

• To reduce the risk of personal injury, use only parts provided with this fan. The use of parts OTHER than those provided with this fan will void the warranty.

DANGER: When using an existing outlet box, make sure the outlet box is securely attached to the building structure and can support the full weight of the fan. Failure to do this can result in serious injury or death. The stability of the outlet box is essential in minimizing wobble and noise in the fan after installation is complete.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury, mount the fan to an outlet box marked “ACCEPTABLE FOR FAN SUPPORT” and use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box. Most outlet boxes commonly used for the support of lighting fixtures are not acceptable for fan support and may need to be replaced. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt. Secure the outlet box directly to the building structure. The outlet box and its support must be able to support the moving weight of the fan (at least 35 lbs.).

CAUTION: Be sure the outlet box is properly grounded or that a ground (green or bare) wire is present.

WARNING: Using a full-range dimmer switch to control fan speed will cause a loud humming noise from the fan. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do NOT use a full-range dimmer switch to control the fan speed.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or personal injury, wire connectors provided with this fan are designed to accept only one 12-gauge house wire and two lead wires from the fan. If your house wire is larger than 12-gauge and there is more than one house wire to connect to the two fan lead wires, consult an electrician for the proper size wire connectors to use.

Before beginning the assembly of this product, ensure that all parts are present. Compare all parts with the package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.

Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Electrical Tape, Phillips Screwdriver, Pliers, Safety Glasses, Step Ladder, Wire Cutters and Wire Strippers

Helpful Tools (not included): AC Tester Light, Tape Measure and Wiring Handbook

1. Turn off the circuit breakers and the wall switch to the fan supply line leads. DANGER: Failure to disconnect the power supply prior to installation may result in serious injury or death.

2. This fan is intended for Flushmount Installation only. Standard, Angle, and Closemount installations are not available.

3. Ensure the blades will be at least 30 inches from any obstructions and at least 7 ft. above the floor.

4. Loosen all four mounting bracket screws (K), then completely remove two mounting bracket screws (K) from opposite sides of the mounting bracket (A).

5. Feed the supply wires from the outlet box through the center hole in the mounting bracket (A). Then, secure the mounting bracket (A) to the outlet box (not included) using screws and washers provided with the outlet box. CAUTION: It is very important you use the proper hardware when installing the mounting bracket (A) as it will support the fan.

6. Raise the fan and place the top of the motor assembly (B) on the hook on the mounting bracket (A), temporarily leaving hands free for the wiring process.

CAUTION: Be sure the outlet box is properly grounded or that a ground (green or bare) wire is present.

1. Connect supply and fan wires according to the diagram and these steps:

• Connect the Green wire from the mounting bracket (A) to the Bare/Green (ground) supply wire.

• Connect the White wire from the fan to the White (neutral) supply wire.

• Connect the Black wire from the fan to the Black (hot) supply wire.

Secure all wiring connections together with wire connectors (AA). Note: The Black wire is hot power for the fan. The White wire is neutral for the fan and light kit. The Green wire is the ground wire. If supply wires are different colors than referred to above, a professional electrician should determine the proper wiring.

2. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around each individual wire connector (AA) down to the wire.

3. Turn the spliced/taped wires upward and gently push the wires and wire connectors (AA) into the outlet box.

WARNING: Ensure no wire strands are visible after making connections. Place the Green and White wire connections on the opposite side of the outlet box from the Black.

1. Attach Motor to Bracket: Slide the top of the motor assembly (B) over the mounting bracket (A), aligning the slotted holes with the pre-loosened screws (K). Twist the motor assembly (B) clockwise to lock. Then re-insert the previously removed screws (K) and securely tighten all screws.

2. Install Blades: Insert a blade (I) through a slot in the side of the motor assembly (B). Align the holes of the blade with three screw holes on the underside of the motor assembly. Secure the blade with three blade screws (BB) and blade washers (CC). Repeat for the remaining blades.

3. Install Light Pan: Remove one and loosen the other two fitter plate screws (D) from the fitter plate (C). Feed the single-pin connector through the center hole in the light pan (E). Align the keyhole slots in the light pan with the loosened screws. Place the light pan over the two screws, turn it clockwise, and tighten the two screws. Re-install the removed screw and tighten firmly.

4. Install Light Kit: Remove one and loosen the other two light pan screws (F) from the underside of the light pan (E). Connect the single-pin connector from the fitter plate (C) to the single-pin connector from the light kit (G) (blue to black and white to white). Align the keyhole slots in the light kit with the loosened screws, turn the light kit clockwise, replace the removed screw, and tighten all screws.

5. Attach Bowl: Attach the bowl (H) to the light kit (G) by twisting it tightly in a clockwise direction until secure. CAUTION: Avoid cross-threading the bowl during installation. Improper installation could cause the bowl to be difficult to remove or fall, which could cause serious injury.

6. Prepare Remote: Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the battery cover from the remote. Insert two batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Replace the cover and press the fan on/off button to ensure the LED indicator illuminates.

7. Power On: Turn on the circuit breakers and the wall switch to the fan supply line leads. Assembly is complete.

To operate the fan using the remote control, press and release the following buttons:

• LED Indicator: Indicates the fan speed. It should light up when any button is pressed. If not, replace the 1.5 V, AAA batteries.

• Fan Power button: Has three options:

– Fan On/Off: Turns the fan off or turns it on at the previously selected speed.

– (+): Increase fan speed.

– (-): Lower fan speed.

• Sleep Timers: Turn off the fan after 2 hours (2hr), 4 hours (4hr), or 8 hours (8hr). Press the Fan On/Off button to deactivate.

• Light Delay: Delays turning off the light for one minute for a safe exit. The light blinks to confirm activation. Press the Light Control button to deactivate.

• Home Shield™: Simulates occupancy while away. The fan stays off, and the light randomly turns on for 5-20 minutes, then off for 60 minutes between events. Press and hold the button to activate; the light will blink to confirm. Press any button to cancel.

• Variable Breeze: Simulates a natural breeze.

• Light Control: Tap to turn the light on/off. Press and hold to dim or brighten the light.

• Light Color: Press and hold to cycle through color temperatures from 2200K (warm white) to 6500K (daylight).

Using a ceiling fan can help you adjust your thermostat settings in summer and winter without sacrificing comfort.

• In warmer weather: Push the reverse switch down to display a sun icon. This results in a downward airflow, creating a wind chill effect.

• In cooler weather: Push the reverse switch up to display a snowflake icon. This results in an upward airflow that helps move hot air from the ceiling area.

Important: Wait for the fan to stop completely before moving the reverse switch. The switch must be set either completely up or down for the fan to function correctly. If the switch is in the middle position, the fan will not operate.

• At least twice each year, tighten all screws on the fan.

• Clean the motor housing with only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish.

• Clean the blades with a lint-free cloth.

• Total fixture wattage is 23 watts; do not attempt to replace the LED.

• Battery Replacement: Use AAA alkaline batteries. WARNING: Keep batteries out of reach of children. May be fatal if swallowed. Do not mix different types or old and new batteries. Insert with correct polarity. Remove exhausted batteries.

Important: Shut off the main power supply before you begin any maintenance tasks. Do not use water or a damp cloth to clean the ceiling fan.

If the fan does not move, check the following possible causes and perform the corrective actions:

1. The power is off or the fuse is blown.

– Turn the power on or check the fuse.

2. There is a faulty wire connection.

– Turn the power off. Loosen the canopy and check all connections.

3. The plugs are not connected properly.

– Check that the connectors from the light kit and fan are connected properly.

4. The reverse switch is not completely engaged.

– Push the reverse switch completely to the up or down position.

If there is excessive wobbling, try these solutions:

1. The blades and/or blade arms are loose.

– Check and tighten all screws that hold the fan blades to the blade arms and the blade arms to the motor.

2. The blades are unbalanced.

– Switch one blade with a blade from the opposite side. Or balance the fan using a blade balancing kit (not included).

3. The fan mounting is not secure.

– Turn off the power. Loosen the motor housing and verify the upper mounting bracket is secure to the electrical outlet box. The bracket must be flush without movement against the outlet box.

If the fan works but the lights do not, check the following:

1. The light kit wire plugs are not connected properly.

– Ensure that the male and female plugs in the light kit fitter are connected properly.

2. There is a faulty wire connection.

– Turn the power off and check all connections at the ceiling outlet box.

If your fan is noisy, consider these potential issues:

1. The blades are loose.

– Check and tighten all screws that hold the fan blades to the blade arms and the motor.

2. There is a cracked blade.

– Replace the cracked blade.

3. The outlet box is not secure.

– Ensure the ceiling outlet box is secured to the building structure.

4. The mounting bracket is not secure.

– Ensure the mounting bracket is secured to the outlet box and that the screws are tight.

If the remote control is not working, try the following actions:

1. Power surge may have cleared memory and remote needs to be re-synced.

– Turn off the power at the breaker box for at least 10 seconds and then turn the power back on. Within 30 seconds, press and hold the “LEARN” button on the back of the remote for 3 seconds. The fan will turn on at high speed and the light will blink twice and stay on, signaling a successful synchronization.

2. Battery in remote control needs to be replaced.

– Insert new AAA batteries in the battery compartment of the remote control.

3. Interference from another remote.

– If there are several fans in proximity, turn power off to other fans and re-sync the remote (see Corrective Action 1 above).
