11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

12. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

13. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

14. Do not install the product in a place with chemical substances or oil mist. Edible oils may damage or warp the product.

15. Be aware that sound classification and direction detection may be temporarily limited while the speaker is in use.

To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock with your HANWHA VISION AUDIO BEACON SPS-A100M:

• Do not expose this product to rain or moisture.

• Do not insert any metallic object through the ventilation grills or other openings on the equipment.

• The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing.

• No objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.

• To prevent injury, this apparatus must be securely attached to the ceiling in accordance with the installation instructions.

The device also carries a “CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. DO NOT OPEN” warning. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover or back. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.

For the HANWHA VISION AUDIO BEACON SPS-A100M, please observe the following battery safety precautions:

• The battery cannot be replaced.

• Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

• Do not install and use the wrong type of battery.

• Do not leave the battery in a mechanically crush or cut it because it can explode.

• Do not leave the battery in a high temperature environment.

• Do not leave the battery in a low-pressure environment.

There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.

The HANWHA VISION AUDIO BEACON SPS-A100M has the following requirements:

• The ITE is to be connected only to PoE+ networks without routing to the outside plant.

• The wired LAN hub providing power over the Ethernet (PoE) in accordance with IEEE 802.3at shall be a UL Listed device with the output evaluated as a Limited Power Source as defined in UL60950-1 or PS2 as defined in UL62368-1.

• The product is intended to be supplied by a UL Listed Power Supply Unit marked “Class 2” or “LPS” or “PS2” and rated from PoE (53 Vdc), 0.35 A.

• The unit is intended for installation in a Network Environment 0 as defined in IEC TR 62102. As such, associated Ethernet wiring shall be limited to inside the building.

• The USB-C port on the product is intended for initial setup only and should not be used for any other purpose.

To restore all settings on your HANWHA VISION AUDIO BEACON SPS-A100M to the factory default, press and hold the internal Reset Button for about 5 seconds. The system will then reboot.

Note: If you reset the audio beacon, the network settings will be adjusted so that DHCP is enabled. If there is no DHCP server in the network, you must use the Device Manager program to change the basic network settings (IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway, etc.) before you can connect to the network.

Before installing the HANWHA VISION AUDIO BEACON SPS-A100M, please ensure you read and follow these precautions:

• Stuck-in or peeled-off cables can cause damage to the product or a fire.

• For safety purposes, keep anyone else away from the installation site.

• If the product is installed with excessive force, it may cause damage to the audio beacon due to malfunction. Forcing assembly using non-compliant tools may damage the product.

To disassemble the HANWHA VISION AUDIO BEACON SPS-A100M for installation, follow these steps:

Step 1. Loosen the fastening screw on the bottom of the audio beacon by turning it counterclockwise, and detach the body case.

Step 2. Loosen the two fastening screws on the main body by turning them counterclockwise, and detach the mount plate.

Step 1. Position the mount plate at the desired installation location for the audio beacon, mark the screw and wiring hole positions, and drill the holes.

Step 2. Feed the required cables (alarm cable or network cable) through the wiring hole in the mount plate.

Step 3. Fix the mount plate using appropriate screws (M4).

Once installation is complete, configure <Product information> in the Web Viewer setup menu.

Step 1. When installing with a pipe connection, detach the wiring hole cover from the body case.

Step 2. Join the conduit adaptor (sold separately) to the mount plate.

Step 3. Mount the pipe to the conduit adaptor.

Step 4. Fix the mount plate using appropriate screws.

Step 5. Take out the necessary alarm and network cables through the pipe.

Step 6. Attach the conduit adapter cover.

Step 1. Connect the connector of the alarm cable to its connection port inside the main body.

Step 2. Connect the network cable jack to the PoE+ port of the audio beacon.

Step 1. Attach the audio beacon main body to the installed mount plate and tighten the two screws.

Step 2. As shown in the manual’s figure, attach the body case.

Step 3. While pressing the bottom of the audio beacon, tighten the fastening screw. Use a maximum torque of 0.7N·m (7kgf·cm).

Setting up the audio beacon:

Step 1. Connect the OTG gender (Type C) and a compatible WiFi dongle to the USB Type C terminal on the audio beacon.

Smartphone Setup:

Step 1. Install the Wisenet Installation application on your smartphone.

Step 2. Turn on WiFi on your smartphone and select the audio beacon’s SSID.

Step 3. Run the Wisenet Installation application.

Step 4. When logged in, the audio beacon will automatically turn on and you will see a compass UI for orientation. Orient the product and proceed with the settings.

The following WiFi dongles from various manufacturers are recommended for use with the HANWHA VISION AUDIO BEACON SPS-A100M:

The alarm cable provides connections for alarm input and output. Ensure you connect the provided alarm cable before use.

To use an external sensor as an alarm input, connect one of the [ALARM I/O] port wires (Orange or Brown) to one terminal of the sensor, and connect the other terminal of the sensor to the [GND] port wire (Black).

To connect an alarm output device like a flashing light or siren, use the open collector method. If the device exceeds the voltage and current specifications (12VDC, 20 mA MAX), it may cause damage. You will need an external relay. Connect the [ALARM I/O] port (Orange or Brown) to the base of a transistor, and the [GND] port (Black) to the emitter of the transistor. The external alarm device is then controlled via the relay connected to the transistor’s collector.

The initial administrator ID is “admin”. You must set a password when logging in for the first time.

It is recommended to change your password every three months to safely protect personal information and prevent information theft. It is the user’s responsibility for the security and any other problems caused by mismanaging a password.

Step 1. Launch an Internet browser on the local PC.

Step 2. Enter the IP address of the audio beacon in the address bar of the browser.

By factory default, the IP address will be assigned from a DHCP server automatically. If there is no DHCP server available, the IP address for the HANWHA VISION AUDIO BEACON SPS-A100M will be set to 192.168.1.100. To change the IP address, use the Device Manager program.

Step 1. Connect the user PC directly to the audio beacon.

Step 2. Run the Device Manager program and change the IP address of the audio beacon so you can use the web browser on your PC to connect to it.

Step 3. Use the Internet browser to connect to the web viewer.

Step 4. Go to the [Setup] page.

Step 5. Navigate to [Network] – [DDNS] and configure the DDNS settings.

Step 6. Navigate to [Basic] – [IP & Port], and set the IP type to [DHCP].

Step 7. Disconnect the audio beacon from your PC and connect it directly to the modem.

Step 8. Restart the audio beacon.

If the HANWHA VISION AUDIO BEACON SPS-A100M is connected to the same network as the PC where Device Manager is installed, you can find it using the search function.

Step 1. Click <Search> on the main page of the Device Manager.

Step 2. Check the audio beacon from the list. You can verify it by checking the MAC address on the sticker attached to the audio beacon.

To configure a static IP, you must first be logged into the device via the Device Manager. The <Status> should show <Login OK>.

Step 1. Click the audio beacon from the list that you want to change.

Step 2. Click <IP Assign> on the main page of the Device Manager.

Step 3. Select <Assign the following IP address>.

Step 4. Fill in the IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway, and Port related categories.

Step 5. Click the [Apply] button.

Step 6. If the success message is displayed, click [OK].

Step 1. In the Device Manager, click the audio beacon from the list that you want to change the IP setting.

Step 2. Click <IP Assign> on the main page of the Device Manager.

Step 3. Select <Obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP)>.

Step 4. Click the [Apply] button.

Step 5. If the success message is displayed, click [OK].

If the audio beacon cannot be found using the search function, it can be registered remotely by manually entering its IP information.

Step 1. In the Device Manager, click <Add Devices> – <Manually Add Device>.

Step 2. Insert the range of IP addresses you want to search.

Step 3. Select the <Model Name> of the audio beacon, and insert the HTTP port, ID, and password.

Step 4. Click the [Register] button.

Step 5. Check if the audio beacon is registered. You can verify the MAC address on the device’s sticker.

Step 1. In the Device Manager, click the audio beacon from the list that you want to automatically configure.

Step 2. Click < + > on the main page of the Device Manager. The Equipment Setting menu will appear.

Step 3. In the menu, click <Auto IP Configure>.

Step 4. To use the <UPnP> or <Bonjour> protocol, select <Enable> and click the [Apply] button.

To allow a remote PC to access the audio beacon, you must set up port range forwarding on your broadband router.

Step 1. From the setup menu of your broadband router, select the port forwarding section (often named <Applications & Gaming> – <Port Range Forward>).

Step 2. For each audio beacon, create rules to forward both <TCP> and <UDP> traffic for the necessary ports. The port numbers should match those configured in the audio beacon’s web viewer under <Setup> – <Basic> – <IP & Port>. You need to forward the HTTP port and the RTSP port.

Step 3. When done, save the settings on your router.

The settings may differ depending on your router model. For more information, refer to the user manual of the router.

To access the audio beacon from a remote PC, you can use its DDNS URL.

Step 1. Ensure you have set up port forwarding on the broadband router for the audio beacon’s network.

Step 2. From the remote PC, launch an internet browser and type the DDNS URL address of the audio beacon, or the public IP address of the broadband router, in the address bar. (e.g., http://ddns.hanwha-security.com/ID)

There are several ways to connect to the web viewer:

• Normal Connection (LAN): Launch an internet browser and type the IP address of the audio beacon in the address bar (e.g., http://192.168.1.100).

• If HTTP port is not 80: Type the IP address followed by a colon and the HTTP port number (e.g., http://192.168.1.100:8080).

• Using URL (Internet): Type the DDNS URL of the audio beacon in the address bar (e.g., http://ddns.hanwha-security.com/ID).

• Connecting via UPnP/Bonjour: Run a client or operating system that supports the protocol. Click the audio beacon name when it appears in the network search. The login window will be displayed.

When you access the product for the first time, you must register a login password. The rules are as follows:

• For a password with 8 to 9 characters: You must use at least 3 of the following character types: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

• For a password with 10 characters or longer: You must use at least 2 of the character types mentioned. (Supports up to 64 characters).

• Allowed special characters: ~!@#$%^&*()_-+={}[]|\;:”<>.,?/

• Space is not allowed for the password.

• For higher security, you are not recommended to repeat the same characters or consecutive keyboard inputs.

• If you lose your password, you can press the [RESET] button to initialize the product.

When you access the audio beacon, the login window appears. Follow these steps to log in:

Step 1. Enter “admin” in the <User name> input box. The administrator’s ID can be changed in the Web Viewer.

Step 2. Enter the password in the <Password> input field.

Step 3. Click [Sign in].

If you have logged in successfully, you will see the Live Viewer screen.

Step 1. After logging in, click the [Setup (gear)] icon.

Step 2. The Settings window appears.

Step 3. You can configure settings for the audio beacon’s basic information, audio, network, event, analysis, and system over the network.

Step 4. Click <Help (?)> to view detailed descriptions of each function.

This happens when the microphone driver has been set to the Realtek driver. To resolve this issue, install the High Definition Audio device (Windows Default Driver) or a third-party driver as the microphone driver.

For WAVE files to play audio during an event, the following specifications are required:

• Sampling rate of 48,000 KHz or less is recommended.

• For bits per sample (bps), up to 8/16 bit is recommended.

• Only PCM encoding format is supported.

If you cannot access the audio beacon from a web browser, check the following:

• Check to make sure that the audio beacon’s Network settings are appropriate.

• Check to make sure that all network cables have been connected properly.

• If connected using DHCP, verify that the audio beacon is able to acquire a dynamic IP address without any problem.

• If the audio beacon is connected to a Broadband Router, verify that port forwarding is properly configured.

If the audio beacon is not detected, try turning off the firewall settings on your PC and then search for the audio beacon again.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.
