What does “DW-40L348” mean?
DW-40L348 indicates a deep temperature storage refrigerator with a characteristic temperature of -40℃, horizontal orientation, and a rated effective volume of 348L.
What are the safety precautions to take note of?
- The machine uses AC 220-240V/50/60Hz power. If the voltage used is 10% higher or lower than the rated voltage, an auto stabilizer above 4000W should be equipped. Power lines that require lengthening should have a cross section no less than 1.5mm.
- An independent private jack should be used and reliably connected. The power line for the refrigerator is equipped with a three-wire, grounding-type plug which meets standard three-wire, grounding-type receptacle. In no circumstance should the third plug foot (grounding) of the power line be cut or removed. The plug should be touchable after installation. Power lines or plugs with abrasion should not be used. Abraded or damaged power lines should be sent to the maintenance point designated by the manufacturer or be replaced by qualified personnel.
- Hazardous articles of inflammable, explosive materials such as acid and alkali with strong corrosion are prohibited in the refrigerator.
- Flammable sprays should not be used close to the freezer to avoid fire.
- In the event of inflammable gas such as coal gas leakage:
- Shut the valve for leakage.
- Open the door and window for ventilation.
- Do not pull out or insert the power plug of the freezer.
- Prevent children from playing in the freezer to avoid accidents.
- Once the power of the freezer is cut, it should be re-connected at least five minutes later to avoid damage to the compressor or the system. The power should be cut for maintenance. Do not roll or damage the power line.
- Protective equipment should be worn when accessing the freezer to avoid freezing injury. When the freezer is scrapped, remove the doorman. The scrapped freezer should be kept away from fire and sent to an appointed site for disposition.

How to disassemble the control board?
Unscrew the screws on the top side to fetch the control board. Note that there are wires connecting the control panel and the refrigerator. Installation should be the reverse of the disassembly steps.
What are the basic parameters of the computer board?
- Rated frequency: 50/60Hz
- Rated voltage: 220 -240 A.C
- Control current for press under normal operation should be no more than 10A
- The 5 minutes start delay for the first energization of press has change to 30S only in new machine. In normal operation, each time it is shut down, start timing, the compressor will not start if the start up time is less than 5 minutes; if the time is over 5 minutes, please take the actual time for operation.
What is the temperature display range?
The display range is from +50℃ to -60℃. Temperatures higher than +50℃ display as “50”, and temperatures lower than -60℃ display as “-60”.
How does the overheat alarming function work?
When the actual temperature sensed by the sensor is higher or lower than the set temperature by +5℃, the overheat alarming light will flicker (with an interval of 1S), accompanied by buzzing (with an interval of 0.5S). Pressing the buzzing releasing button will release the buzzing, but the red light will keep flickering. Pressing the button again will not recover the buzzing. The buzzing releasing button can only reset to recover the buzzing function when the temperature is within +5℃ above or below the set temperature, or when the power is cut. If the freezing sensor is in error, the red light may keep flickering with an interval of 1S and the alarming will fail.
What happens when the freezing sensor is in error?
When the freezing sensor is in error (short circuit or open circuit), the temperature value displayed will be “F1”. The frozen food cabinet enters protecting mode and the compressor alternates between 20min on and 5min off, with alarming in failure. If the refrigerator is in quick-freeze status, it will quit (the corresponding light will be off).
What is the break down memory function?
When the frozen food cabinet is broken down and electrified again, the memory function can operate according to the status set before breaking down. The display control order is quick freeze, then normal control, F1 display, and finally temperature display.
How to operate the control system (DW-40L508)?
- Unlock: Press the " " button for at least 5 seconds. The display panel will show “F0”, bit “0” flash, then press the " " button, the display panel show “F1”. Then press the " " button, all the keys are unlocked, then the display panel will show the actual temperature of the cabin. If there is no operation for 10 seconds, the keys will be locked.
- Temperature setting: At the Unlocked status, press the " " button, the display panel will show “L0”, Bit “0” flash, press the " " button again, it will show the set value, the second bit of the set value will flash. Press the " " button to change the bit, then press the " " button to change the value to -40 degrees, or another value you need.
- Temperature Calibration: At unlocked status, press the " " button and " " button at the same time for at least 5s, the display will show the value of calibrate. For example, if the display value is -40℃ and the real temperature is -35℃, input +5℃, then the LED will show -35℃. The range of calibration is -5 to +5℃.
How does the press (compressor) turn on and off?
When the inner temperature reaches the set temperature, the sensor measures the temperature and converts it into an electrical signal, which is sent to the control chip of the computer board. According to a pre-set procedure, the chip sends a stop order to the compressor to shut it down. When the inner temperature returns 1℃ higher than the set temperature, the chip sends out a stop order via the same procedure to shut the compressor down. If the temperature return in the freezer is too fast (less than 5 minutes), then it is taken as 5 minutes.
How does the fan turn on and off?
The fan operates synchronously with the compressor.
