The front display of the DUAL XDCPA10BT features the following controls:

2. Home: Returns to the home menu.

3. VOL+: Increases volume.

4. Power/Mute: Press to turn on. Press and hold to turn off. Press momentarily to mute.

To play music from a USB drive, insert the drive and touch the USB icon on the main screen. Use the following on-screen controls for playback:

• Main Menu: Press the home icon to return to the Main Menu screen.

• EQ: Press the EQ icon to adjust Equalizer settings.

• Search: Press the magnifying glass icon to search for a music file.

• List: Press the list icon to access a list of all files and folders on the device.

• Repeat: Press the repeat icon to repeat the current track. Press again to repeat all tracks in the current folder. Press again to exit repeat mode.

• Random: Press the random icon to shuffle all tracks in the current folder. Press again to exit random mode.

• Track Down: Press to return to the beginning of the current track.

• Play / Pause: Press to pause or resume playback.

• Track Up: Press to skip ahead to the next song.

The DUAL XDCPA10BT has the following media compatibility:

Notes:

• The following file types are not compatible: MP3 PRO format, MP3 playlists, RMP format, AAC, protected AAC, M4A format.

• MP3 playback sequence begins in the root folder of the USB device. Empty folders are skipped.

• For best results when ripping MP3 files, use a constant bit rate of 128kbps or higher and a sampling frequency of 44.1kHz or higher.

Pairing a New Device:

Before you can use a Bluetooth device, it must be authenticated or “paired”.

1. The DUAL XDCPA10BT broadcasts the pairing signal constantly when no devices are connected.

2. Complete the pairing sequence from your Bluetooth device. The device name is “XDCPA10BT”.

3. The unit can be in any mode of operation when pairing is performed.

Connecting:

The head unit will automatically connect to the last connected device if the connect feature is set to Auto connect On.

Bluetooth Phone Operation:

From the main menu, touch the Bluetooth icon on the screen.

• Phone Keypad: Use the keypad to dial a phone number and touch the Phone icon to call.

• Devices: Shows the pairing device list. Press a device name to connect or disconnect.

• Phone Book: Press “CONTACTS” to access your phone book menu.

• Call Log: Press to show Dialed, Missed, and Received Calls.

• Bluetooth Music: Press MUSIC to transfer audio between the unit and mobile phone.

• Setup: Press “SETUP” to access Bluetooth settings.

• End Call: Press the End icon on screen to end a call in progress or reject an incoming call.

Starting Apple CarPlay:

Connect a compatible iPhone (iPhone 6 or newer) to the DUAL XDCPA10BT’s USB port using an Apple Certified Lightning cable. Apple CarPlay will launch automatically.

Controlling Apple CarPlay:

• Home Button: The home button in the lower left corner of the CarPlay menu works just like the home button on your iPhone. Press and hold it to summon Siri. Press it momentarily to return to the main CarPlay menu screen.

• Application Buttons: Press any application button on the main CarPlay menu to access it directly. The toolbar on the left displays time, signal strength, and shortcuts to Phone, Music, and Navigation.

• Basic Controls:

– Touch: Briefly press the desired option.

– Swipe: Briefly swipe in the desired direction.

– Drag: Press, hold, and drag to the desired location.

Exiting Apple CarPlay:

Disconnecting your iPhone will automatically exit CarPlay mode. To exit while your phone is still connected, press the Power/Volume knob momentarily, and the unit’s main menu will be displayed.

Note: When CarPlay is in use, the unit’s Bluetooth will turn off automatically, and hands-free functionality will operate through the CarPlay feature.

Starting Android Auto:

Android Auto requires the Android Auto app from Google Play installed on a smartphone running Android Lollipop 5.0 or higher. Connect your compatible Android device to the DUAL XDCPA10BT via USB cable. Android Auto will launch automatically, or it can be accessed from the main menu.

Using Android Auto:

The Android Auto home screen displays personalized information like time to your destination, reminders, recent calls, incoming messages, the song you’re listening to, and Google Now cards. You can say “OK Google” or select the microphone in the upper right corner to talk to Google.

The navigation bar at the bottom of the screen has icons for:

1. Maps and Navigation

2. Calls and Contacts

3. Home Screen

4. Music and Audio

5. Exit Android Auto

Exiting Android Auto:

To exit Android Auto, press the Exit button. Disconnecting your Android phone will also automatically exit Android Auto mode.

You can connect an optional rear camera to the Camera Input (Black RCA connector) on your DUAL XDCPA10BT. When the unit is connected to the vehicle’s reverse lamp circuitry, it will automatically select camera mode when the vehicle is put in reverse. Note that the external video output is not active when using the rear camera input.

The DUAL XDCPA10BT has a built-in SWC Interface that is compatible with PAC steering wheel control modules, with the PAC SWI-RC being recommended. A third-party adapter is required to make the unit compatible with any steering wheel controls.

For PAC SWI-RC Installation:

1. Set the “Radio Select Switch” on the SWI-RC to position 7 – “Pioneer/Other/Sony”.

2. To program, use the Pioneer/Sony/Other radio function mapping order for Dual units.

3. If a function is not supported or desired, it MUST be skipped as per the PAC SWI-RC instructions.

4. The SWC function MUST be programmed in the correct order per the PAC SWI-RC radio function mapping order instructions.

If your DUAL XDCPA10BT has no power, check the following:

• Check if the yellow wire is not connected or has incorrect voltage. Ensure connections for proper voltage (11-16VDC).

• Check if the red wire is not connected or has incorrect voltage. Ensure connections for proper voltage (11-16VDC).

• Check if the black wire is not connected. Ensure the connection to ground is secure.

• Check if the fuse is blown. If so, replace the fuse(s).

If your DUAL XDCPA10BT has power but no sound, it could be due to the following reasons:

• Speaker wires are not connected. Check the connections at the speakers.

• One or more speaker wires are touching each other or touching the chassis ground. Insulate all bare speaker wires from each other and from the chassis ground.

If your DUAL XDCPA10BT keeps blowing fuses, check for these potential issues:

• The yellow or red wire is touching the chassis ground. Check for a pinched wire.

• Speaker wires are touching the chassis ground. Check for a pinched wire.

• An incorrect fuse rating is being used. Ensure you use fuses with the correct rating.

If your DUAL XDCPA10BT has audio but is not displaying video, check the following:

• The parking brake safety circuit is not connected. Check the connections at the parking brake.

• The parking brake is not applied. For safety, you must apply the parking brake to view video.

If the IR remote does not work, the most likely cause is a dead battery. Replace the battery in the remote control.
