Before beginning the installation of the DOORKING 1603-223, it is crucial to take the following safety precautions:

1. Shut off AC power to the operator.

2. Turn off the DC power switch on certain models.

To assemble the support post for the DOORKING 1603-223, follow these steps:

1. Use two 2″ conduit nuts to secure the traffic light assembly to the top of the support post (95″ for kit 1603-223).

2. Route the wire through the support post.

3. Use one 2″ conduit nut to secure the 2″ elbow to the bottom of the support post.

Follow these instructions to mount the support post assembly of your DOORKING 1603-223 to the gate operator:

1. Route the wire from the support post through the conduit.

2. Drill a 7/8″ hole centered where the elbow touches the operator housing. This location is approximately 18 inches down from the top of the operator.

3. Secure the 3/4″ conduit nipple in the drilled hole with the conduit nut.

4. Use the existing circuit board bracket bolts on the operator to mount the support post bracket.

5. Attach the support post to the support post bracket using the two U-Bolt Clamps.

6. Attach the Bracket Cover.

To wire the DOORKING 1603-223 LED traffic light, make the following connections on the operator’s circuit board:

1. Connect the White wire from the traffic light to the White (-) wire from the 12 VDC transformer.

2. Connect the Black (+) wire from the 12 VDC transformer (this wire is not supplied with the kit) to the traffic light relay terminal labeled C (Common).

3. Connect the Red wire from the traffic light to the terminal labeled NC (Normally Closed).

4. Connect the Green wire from the traffic light to the terminal labeled NO (Normally Open).
