1. Connect the power adapter to the bottom of the receiver, threading the cord through a groove in the bottom.

How do I set up my DAKOTA ALERT DCR-4000 receiver to connect with a transmitter?

You can connect up to 16 transmitters to your DAKOTA ALERT DCR-4000 receiver. To begin the setup process, follow these steps:

1. Place your receiver and transmitter next to each other. Note: Be careful not to activate your transmitter until you find the tune you want. If your transmitter is a motion sensor, consider covering the sensor to avoid accidentally activating it.

2. Press and hold the MODE and volume buttons for three seconds. When all four LEDs flash, release the buttons.


How do I select a tune and code a transmitter for my DAKOTA ALERT DCR-4000 receiver?

1. After putting the receiver in setup mode, press the volume button repeatedly until you find the tune you want to use.

2. After you choose a tune, activate the transmitter (for example, press its button or activate the motion sensor). The receiver emits a short beep.
