Before you start to use your DIGITUS GREYRAPID N router, please check if there’s anything missing in the package. The package should contain the following items:

How do I physically set up my DIGITUS GREYRAPID N router?
Please follow these instructions to set up your wireless router:
1. Connect your xDSL / cable modem to the WAN port of the router using an Ethernet cable.
2. Connect all your computers and network devices (such as a game console, switch, or hub) to the LAN ports of the router.
3. Connect the A/C power adapter to a wall socket, and then connect it to the ‘Power’ socket of the router.
4. After connecting everything, check the LEDs on the front panel. The ‘PWR’ LED should be steadily on. The WAN and LAN LEDs should be on if a computer or network device is connected to the respective port, powered on, and correctly connected.
What should I do if the ‘PWR’ LED on my DIGITUS GREYRAPID N is off after connecting it correctly?
If the ‘PWR’ LED is still off and you are sure that all cable connections are connected properly, please contact your dealer of purchase for assistance.
How do I perform the first-time network setup for my DIGITUS GREYRAPID N using a wired computer connection?
Please use a web browser to configure the wireless router. A computer with a wired Ethernet connection to the DIGITUS GREYRAPID N is required for this first-time configuration. Follow the steps below:
Set your computer to obtain an IP address automatically:
1. Click the ‘Start’ button (located at the lower-left corner of your computer), then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Network Connections, then double-click Local Area Connection.
3. In the “Local Area Connection Status” window that appears, click ‘Properties’.
4. In the “Local Area Connection Properties” window, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), then click ‘Properties’.
5. In the “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties” window, select ‘Obtain an IP address automatically’ and ‘Obtain DNS server address automatically’, then click ‘OK’.
Access the router’s web interface:
6. After the IP address setup is complete, click ‘start’ -> ‘run’ at the bottom-left corner of your desktop.
7. Input ‘cmd’ and click ‘OK’.
8. In the command prompt window, input ‘ipconfig’, then press the ‘Enter’ key.
9. Note the IP address that follows ‘Default Gateway’. This is the IP address of your router. Please note that this value may be different from the example of 192.168.2.1.
10. Start a web browser and input the IP address of the wireless router (the Default Gateway address from the previous step) in the address bar.
11. A message should be shown asking for a user name and password. Input the user name and password, then click ‘OK’ to access the web management interface. The default user name is admin and the default password is 1234.
Use the Quick Setup Wizard:
12. In the web management interface, click ‘QuickSetup’.
13. Select the time zone of the area where you live, then click ‘Next’.
14. Select a broadband type for the Internet connection you’re using (e.g., Cable Modem, Fixed-IP xDSL, PPPoE xDSL, or PPTP xDSL), then click ‘Next’.
15. Input the Internet connection parameters provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). The content of this page will vary depending on the connection method you selected in the previous step. Click ‘OK’ when you have finished.
16. When you see the “Save setting successfully!” message, click the ‘Apply’ button to restart the system for the changes to take effect.
17. You will see the message “System Restarting! Please wait for a while !”. The router will be ready with the new settings within 30 seconds.
Verify Connectivity:
18. Please use your computer to connect to any website on the Internet, or start any Internet application and see if it is working properly.
