What are some hints and tips for using the CUISINART RHM100U?

• **Beating Egg Whites:** Use a very clean metal or glass bowl. To help stabilize the egg whites, add 1/8 teaspoon of cream of tartar per egg white before beating. Beat the egg whites until desired peaks form. Beating egg whites for too long causes them to dry out and become less stable.

• **Adding Sugar to Egg Whites:** Add sugar slowly when soft peaks just begin to form, and then continue beating to form desired peaks.

• **Whipping Heavy Cream:** If possible, use a chilled bowl and chill the beaters. The best shaped bowl for whipping cream is one that is deep with a rounded bottom to minimize splatter. The cream should come out of the fridge just before whipping. For best results, whip cream just before using.

• **Caution:** Do not immerse the product in water or any other liquid; only the beater attachments can be submerged.

How should I clean and maintain my CUISINART RHM100U?

The appliance should be cleaned thoroughly after each use. Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet before cleaning.

• **Main Unit:** To clean the main unit, wipe with a clean, damp cloth.

• **Beaters:** The beaters can be removed and washed by hand in warm soapy water or on the top rack of a dishwasher.

• **Power Adapter:** Never immerse the power adapter in water or any other liquids.
