Before operating your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S, you must complete these initial setup steps. Ensure the power cord is unplugged before starting.

Step 1. Remove the back cover. Hold the upper left and right sides of the back cover and detach it.

Step 2. Take out the filters and remove the plastic packaging. Remove the plastic packaging from all filters except for the pre-filter. The order of removal is: Back Cover → Pre-filter → Max2 filter.

Step 3. Reinstall the filters and mount the back cover. Assemble the product in the reverse order of removal. The assembly order is: Max2 filter → Pre-filter → Back Cover. Align the back cover with the product and push the cover to mount it.

Once your filters are prepared and installed in your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S, follow these steps to power it on:

Step 1. Insert the power plug into a power outlet. The indicators on the air purifier will blink. Note that this product is for 120 V~ 60 Hz use only.

Step 2. Touch the power button to turn the air purifier on. A melody will play when the air purifier is turned on.

To connect your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S to a Wi-Fi network, use the following button combinations on the control panel:

To enter Bluetooth pairing mode: While the product is operating, press and hold the mode button for about 3 seconds.

To turn on Wi-Fi: While the product is operating, press the Wi-Fi button.

To access AP Mode: While the product is operating, press and hold the light and Wi-Fi buttons at the same time for about 3 seconds.

To turn off Wi-Fi: While the product is operating, press and hold the Wi-Fi button for about 3 seconds.

To operate your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S manually, follow these steps:

Step 1. Press the power button to turn on the air purifier. By default, it will start in the previously saved settings.

Step 2. Press the mode button repeatedly to select through the fan speeds. The order is Level 1 → Level 2 → Level 3. When you press the mode button during any automatic operation (like SMART mode), it will switch to manual mode.

The COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S has three main operation modes. When the power is on, press the mode button to switch between SMART, SLEEP, and ECO modes.

SMART MODE: Automatically adjusts the fan speed (1, 2, and 3) for optimal operation depending on the indoor air quality. This setting is suitable for most users.

SLEEP MODE: Minimizes the fan speed during operation for a quiet and pleasant environment.

ECO MODE: Automatically adjusts the fan speed according to the indoor air quality. If the air quality level remains clean (Good) for more than 10 minutes, the fan stops operating for up to 30 minutes to save energy. It will automatically restart if air quality worsens.

In SMART Mode, the COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S automatically adjusts the fan speed for optimal operation based on the detected indoor air quality. The fan speed corresponds to the air quality level as shown in the table below:

In ECO Mode, the COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S adjusts its fan speed based on the detected air quality. The ECO-mode operates if the air quality is Level 1 (Good) or worse. A key feature of ECO mode is its energy-saving function: if the indoor air quality level is kept clean for more than 10 minutes, the fan stops operating for up to 30 minutes. If the sensor detects a drop in air quality, the fan will immediately restart to purify the air. This on-and-off cycle repeats as long as the air quality remains clean for more than 10 minutes after re-operation.

The fan speed in ECO mode adjusts as follows:

The air quality sensor is set to a default sensitivity (Normal). If the air quality level consistently shows as clean, you may want to increase the sensitivity. To adjust it, follow these steps:

Step 1. While the product is operating, press the mode button and the light button simultaneously for more than 2 seconds. You will also need to pull the top of the back cover to open.

Step 2. The current sensitivity level will be displayed on the indicator. The default is Level 2 (Normal).

Step 3. Press the mode button to adjust to the desired sensor sensitivity. The mode button will blink to indicate your selection.

Step 4. To save your selection, press the mode button and the light button simultaneously for more than 2 seconds. The product will start operating normally with the new sensitivity. If no buttons are pressed for 10 seconds after selecting a sensitivity, the setting will be automatically saved.

The Air Quality Indicator on your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S displays the level of ultrafine dust (PM 2.5) in your indoor air. The color and numerical value correspond to the air quality level, allowing you to check it at a glance. The PM 2.5 concentration guide is as follows:

Note: The concentration displayed measures the indoor environment in real time and may differ from official guides depending on the place of use and measurement method. The maximum value displayed is 500 μg/m³.

For accurate air quality readings, clean the pollution sensor regularly, especially in environments with heavy dust. Always unplug the power cord before cleaning.

Step 1. Open the air quality sensor cover.

Step 2. Clean the lens, dust inlet, and dust outlet with a wet cotton swab, and then remove any moisture with a dry one.

Step 3. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to clean the air inlet and the air outlet of the air quality sensor. Be careful not to let dust fall inside the product when cleaning.

To clean the detachable air outlet and grille:

Step 1. Remove the detachable air outlet grille installed on top of the air outlet by lifting and separating it.

Step 2. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to clean the grille and the air outlet. When cleaning the air outlet, avoid allowing dust to fall into it.

To clean the back cover and product body:

Use a dry cloth or soft brush to remove dust on the back cover and main body. For high contamination, use a slightly wet cloth to wipe it clean. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

The Pre-filter should be cleaned every 2-4 weeks. Always unplug the power plug before cleaning the filter. Failure to clean the pre-filter for a long time may result in poor product performance.

Step 1. To open, pull the top of the back cover.

Step 2. To remove the pre-filter, pull its clip. Be careful not to let dust fall off when removing.

Step 3. Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner or wash with water depending on the degree of dust and particles. Do not let dust fall into the air vent hole when cleaning.

Step 4. Install the dry pre-filter completely into the product. Please close the back cover again.

Note: The Max2 filter cannot be washed and reused.

The recommended cleaning and replacement cycle for the filters in your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S are as follows. These cycles are based on 24 hours of use per day at level 1 speed and may vary depending on your environment.

The Max2 filter should be replaced every 12 months. Always unplug the power cord before replacing the filter.

Step 1. Open the back cover, remove the pre-filter from the product, and take out the old Max2 filter.

Step 2. After removing the plastic packaging from the new Max2 filter, replace it with the new filter. Close the back cover after assembling the product in the reverse order of removal. To determine which side is front, look for the label “Front” on the filter.

After cleaning or replacing a filter, or if you manage the filter before the replacement alarm is displayed, you need to reset the indicator light. Follow these steps:

Step 1. Press the filter reset button and light button at the same time for more than 2 seconds.

Step 2. The pre-filter indicator will start blinking. Press the filter reset button to select the filter that needs to be reset (Pre-filter → max2 filter → pre-filter & max2 filter → pre-filter).

Step 3. Once the desired filter is selected, press the filter reset button for more than 2 seconds. The selected filter option will reset.

If you do not press any buttons for 10 seconds, the reset function will be automatically canceled.

If no air is coming out of your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S, please check the following:

Is the power cord plugged in? If not, plug the power cord into a 120 V~ 60 Hz outlet.

Are all the indicators off? If so, press the Power button and select the desired function.

Is there a power outage? If so, use the product after the electricity is restored.

If the fan speed on your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S does not change when you try to adjust it, check if one of the automatic modes is active. The fan speed mode cannot be selected aside from manual operation mode (Normal) when the following indicators are on:

Eco Mode indicator is on.

Sleep Mode indicator is on.

Auto Mode indicator is on.

To manually change the fan speed, you must exit these modes.

If you notice that the fan speed has weakened considerably, it may be time to service the filters. Check the filter cleaning and replacement cycle and clean or replace the filter as needed.

If the air quality indicator on your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S does not change, please try the following solutions:

Is dust present around the air quality sensor lens? Clean the air quality sensor lens.

Does the air quality remain at High? Adjust the air quality sensor’s sensitivity to Insensitive or Normal.

Does the air quality remain at Low? Adjust the air quality sensor’s sensitivity to Sensitive or Normal.

If you detect a bad smell coming from the air outlet, it is likely time to service the filters. Check if it is past the filter cleaning and replacement period. Check the filter cleaning and replacement cycle and clean or replace the filter as necessary.

If the E1 or E2 light is blinking on your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S, please try turning the power off and on again. If the problem persists after restarting, contact the support center.

The control panel of your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S has several buttons with specific functions:

Power button: Use this button to turn the product on and off.

Mode button / indicator: Press this button to switch the mode in the order of SMART, SLEEP, and ECO.

Filter reset button / indicator: When the filter replacement indicator is on, press this button for more than 3 seconds after cleaning or replacing the filter to reset the indicator.

Light button: Toggles the air quality and other indicators on and off.

Wi-Fi button / indicator (Icon S model only): Touch this button to connect to a Wi-Fi network. When connected, the status indicator’s light will turn on.

Timer button / indicator (Icon model only): Touch this button to automatically turn the unit off after 1, 4, or 8 hours. Touch the button until the indicator light displays the desired time.

Air quality indicator: A display that shows the concentration of ultra-fine dust (PM 2.5).

Please observe the following safety precautions when using the wireless charging feature of your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S:

Use devices with the wireless charging function of international standards only.

Do not place cards (like credit cards) and metallic objects between the wireless charging area and the phone.

Do not place a separate wireless charging patch or cover alone in the wireless charging area.

Tempered glass on the wireless charging area may prevent charging.

The device’s protective case may prevent it from charging. Metal material, holders, smart rings, or thick cases may delay or stop charging.

If using a wallet/card-type case, remove the card from the case before charging.

Do not apply force on the product while charging.

Do not touch the device or charging area with wet hands.

If water is spilled on the wireless charging area, unplug the power cord and wipe it dry.

If the wireless charging area is damaged, do not use it.

Please level the product before use to ensure proper charging position.

To care for the fabric front cover of your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON S, please follow these guidelines:

Do not spill colored liquids or scribble on the fabric, as it may cause stains.

Frequent touching of the fabric with your hands may cause contamination. For dust removal and cleaning, lightly wipe with a duster or soft cloth.

If the fabric cover is dirty, do not wash it with water. This may cause discoloration and spread contamination.

Do not place the front cover near high temperatures or fire, as it may deform the cover or cause a fire.
