Before operating your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON, you must complete the following setup steps. Ensure the power cord is unplugged before you begin.

Step 1. Remove the back cover by holding the upper left and right sides and detaching it.

Step 2. Take out all filters. Remove the plastic packaging from all filters except for the pre-filter.

Step 3. Assemble the product in the correct order: Max2 filter → Pre-filter → Back Cover.

Step 4. Mount the back cover by aligning it with the product and pushing it to secure it.

Step 5. Insert the power plug into a power outlet.

Step 6. Touch the power button to turn the air purifier on.

To connect your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON to a Wi-Fi network, follow these steps:

Turn on Wi-Fi: While the product is operating, press the Wi-Fi button to turn on Wi-Fi.

Enter Bluetooth Pairing Mode: While the product is operating, press and hold the mode button for about 3 seconds.

Access AP Mode: While the product is operating, press and hold the light and Wi-Fi buttons at the same time for about 3 seconds.

Turn off Wi-Fi: While the product is operating, press and hold the Wi-Fi button for about 3 seconds to turn off Wi-Fi.

Step 1. Press the power button to turn on the COWAY AIRMEGA ICON. By default, it will start in the previously saved settings.

Step 2. Press the mode button to select through the fan speeds. The order is Level 1 → Level 2 → Level 3. When pressing the mode button during an automatic operation (like SMART mode), it will switch to manual mode.

You can press the mode button to switch between SMART, SLEEP, and ECO modes when the power is on.

SMART MODE: The air purifier automatically adjusts the fan speed (1, 2, and 3) for optimal operation depending on the indoor air quality. This setting is suitable for most users.

SLEEP MODE: This mode minimizes the fan speed during operation for a quiet and pleasant environment.

ECO MODE: The fan speed automatically adjusts according to the indoor air quality. This mode operates if the air quality is at Level 1 (Good) or better. When the indoor air quality level remains clean for more than 10 minutes, the fan stops operating for up to 30 minutes. If the air quality worsens, the fan will operate immediately to purify the air.

If the air quality level remains high after running the purifier for more than 2 hours, or stays clean for more than 1 hour, you can adjust the sensor sensitivity. The default sensitivity is Level 2 (Normal).

Step 1. While the product is operating, press the mode button and the light button simultaneously for more than 2 seconds. Pull the top of the back cover to open.

Step 2. The current sensitivity level is displayed on the indicator.

Step 3. Press the mode button to adjust the desired sensor sensitivity. The mode button will blink to show the selected level.

Step 4. Press the mode button and the light button simultaneously for more than 2 seconds to save the selected sensitivity. The product will then start operating normally. If no buttons are pressed for 10 seconds, the selected sensitivity is automatically saved.

The Air Quality Indicator on your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON displays the level of ultrafine dust (PM2.5) to let you check the indoor air quality at a glance. The color and numerical display correspond to the following levels:

If the dust air quality level continuously displays the maximum number of 500, the sensor may be contaminated and require cleaning.

Always unplug the power cord before cleaning. Performance may decrease if the sensor is not cleaned regularly, especially in dusty environments.

Step 1. Open the air quality sensor cover.

Step 2. Clean the lens, dust inlet, and dust outlet with a wet cotton swab, and then wipe away any moisture with a dry one.

Step 3. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to clean the air inlet and the air outlet of the air quality sensor. Be careful not to let dust fall inside the product when cleaning.

Detachable Air Outlet and Grille:

Step 1. Remove the detachable air outlet grille by lifting and separating it.

Step 2. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to clean the grille and the air outlet. Avoid allowing dust to fall into the unit.

Back Cover and Product Body:

Use a dry cloth or soft brush to remove dust from the back cover and main body. For high contamination, you may use a slightly wet cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Filter maintenance is crucial for the optimal performance of your COWAY AIRMEGA ICON. The following are the recommended cycles based on 24 hours of use per day at level 1 fan speed. The actual cycle may vary depending on the environment.

Always unplug the power plug before cleaning the filter. Failure to clean the pre-filter for a long time may result in poor product performance.

Step 1. To open, pull the top of the back cover.

Step 2. To remove the pre-filter, pull its clip. Be careful not to let dust fall off when removing.

Step 3. Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner or wash with water depending on the degree of dust and particles. Do not let dust fall into the air vent hole when cleaning.

Step 4. Ensure the pre-filter is completely dry before installing it back into the product. Close the back cover again.

Note: The Max2 filter cannot be washed and reused.

The Max2 Filter should be replaced every 12 months. Always unplug the power cord before replacing the filter.

Step 1. Open the back cover, remove the pre-filter from the product, and take out the old Max2 filter.

Step 2. After removing the plastic packaging from the new Max2 filter, replace it. Close the back cover after assembling the product in the reverse order of removal. To determine which side is front, look for the label “Front” on the filter.

If you replace or clean a filter before the replacement notification is displayed, you can manually reset the filter cycle.

Step 1. Press the filter reset button and light button at the same time for more than 2 seconds.

Step 2. The pre-filter indicator will start blinking. Press the filter reset button to select the filter that needs to be reset (Pre-filter → max2 filter → pre-filter & max2 filter → pre-filter).

Step 3. Press the filter reset button for more than 2 seconds to reset the cycle for the selected filter.

If you do not press any buttons for 10 seconds, the reset function will be canceled.

Power Safety:

• Do not use a damaged power plug or loose power outlet. Use a grounded 120 V~ 60 Hz outlet.

• Do not pull on the power cord to move the product or touch the plug with wet hands.

• Do not bend the power cord excessively or place it under a heavy object.

• Unplug the unit before repairing, inspecting, or changing parts.

• Do not connect multiple electronic devices to one power outlet.

Installation Safety:

• Do not install the product near a heating device, in a highly humid or dusty location, or where it can be splashed with water.

• Do not use or store flammable gas near the product.

• Use the product at least 20cm (about 8 inches) from walls and surrounding objects.

• Maintain at least 2 m (about 6.5 feet) from electronic appliances like televisions.

• Install the product on a flat floor.

Usage Safety:

• If you notice strange noise, a burning smell, or smoke, immediately unplug the power cord.

• Never immerse the product in water. Do not spray flammable substances into the air inlet.

• Do not block the air outlet with laundry, curtains, etc.

• Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the air outlet.

• Use devices with the wireless charging function of international standards only. Charging speed may vary.

• Do not place cards (like credit cards) or metallic objects between the wireless charging area and the phone.

• Do not place a separate wireless charging patch or cover alone in the charging area.

• The device’s protective case may prevent it from charging. Metal material, holders, or smart rings may delay or stop charging.

• Depending on the thickness of the case, charging may be delayed or stopped. Remove cards from wallet-type cases before charging.

• Place your device in the center of the wireless charging area and check that it is charging normally.

• Do not touch the device or charging area with wet hands.

• If water is spilled on the charging area, unplug the power cord and wipe it dry.

• Do not spill colored liquids or scribble on the fabric front cover, as it may cause stains.

• Frequent touching of the fabric can cause contamination. For dust removal, lightly wipe with a duster or soft cloth.

• If the fabric cover is dirty, do not wash it with water. This may cause discoloration and spread of contamination.

• Do not place the front cover near high temperatures or fire, as it may deform or cause a fire.

• Check if the power cord is plugged into a 120 V~ 60 Hz outlet.

• If all indicators are off, press the Power button and select the desired function.

• Check if there is a power outage. If so, use the product after electricity is restored.

The fan speed cannot be manually selected when the COWAY AIRMEGA ICON is in Eco Mode, Sleep Mode, or Auto Mode. The unit automatically controls the fan speed in these modes. To manually select a fan speed, switch to manual operation mode.

If the fan speed has weakened, it may be time to maintain the filters. Check the filter cleaning and replacement cycle and clean or replace the filter as needed.

• Check if there is dust present around the air quality sensor lens and clean it if necessary.

• If the air quality remains at High, adjust the sensor’s sensitivity to Insensitive or Normal.

• If the air quality remains at Low, adjust the sensor’s sensitivity to Sensitive or Normal.

A bad smell usually indicates that the filters need maintenance. Check the filter cleaning and replacement cycle and clean or replace the filter as necessary.

If the E1 or E2 light is blinking, please turn the power off and on again. If the problem persists, the unit may require service.
