What are some energy saving tips for using the refrigerator?
Allow hot foods to cool to room temperature before placing in the refrigerator. Overloading the refrigerator forces the compressor to work harder. Foods that freeze too slowly may lose quality, or spoil.
Do not adjust the temperatures colder than necessary.
Be sure to wrap foods properly, and wipe containers dry before placing them in the refrigerator. This cuts down on frost build-up inside the refrigerator.
Organize and label food to reduce door openings and extended searches. Remove as many items as needed at one time, and close the door as soon as possible.
Refrain from leaving the door/s open for a long time to conserve energy.
How is the temperature controlled in the refrigerator?
The temperature inside the refrigerator is controlled by the potentiometer installed in the refrigerated room. The temperature inside the refrigerator varies depending on the opening and closing doors of the refrigerator, the ambient temperature, and the place of placement.
Under normal conditions, considering the food preservation and refrigerator energy saving, spring and summer, we recommend the use of refrigerated room temperature adjustment in the “MED” file (position “4” on the dial).
In winter, the freezer can be placed between MED and MAX.
How do I adjust the fridge temperature?
The fridge temperature can be adjusted by means of the temperature control knob switch.
1. The temperature gets gradually decreased as you dial the temperature control knob switch from the position “1” to “7”. Position 1 is Cold, Position 7 is Coldest.
2. To set the knob switch at the “4” (Recommend) position can meet the daily normal use.
3. When you need to strengthen cooling of the fresh food compartment, dial the temperature control knob switch in the Coldest direction (towards 7), so as to extend the compressor running time, with the temperature decreased accordingly.
Note: It is not recommended to set the temperature control knob at the “Coldest” position for a long time.
How do I adjust the freezer temperature using the air regulating rod?
The air regulating rod adjusts the balance between fridge and freezer temperatures:
1. When the temperature mode (Fridge Temperature Control knob) keeps unchanged, adjust the air regulating rod from left (Coolest) to right (Coldest). Moving it to the right increases freezer cooling (freezer temperature decreases) while fridge temperature gets increased.
2. When the temperature mode keeps unchanged, adjust the air regulating rod from right (Coldest) to left (Coolest). Moving it to the left decreases freezer cooling (freezer temperature increases) while fridge temperature gets decreased.
3. It is recommended to adjust the air regulating rod in the middle position (Recommend). When you need a lower freezer temperature, adjust the air regulating rod to the right properly. When the temperature meets the requirement, adjust the air regulating rod back to the middle position again in a timely manner.
Note: The fridge thermostat and the air regulating rod should be used in combination.
What are the recommended temperature settings based on ambient temperature?
| Use environment | Recommended thermostat mode setting | Recommended air regulating rod position | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Higher than 35°C | Position 4 (Recommend) | Middle Position (Recommend) | 1) It is recommended to set at the middle mode. 2) The temperature modes can be adjusted as recommended in the table in case of change to the ambient temperature around the refrigerator. |
| 16°C-35°C | Position 4 (Recommend) | Middle Position (Recommend) | Adjusted as recommended in the table in case of change to the ambient temperature around the refrigerator. |
| Lower than 16°C | Position 4 (Recommend) | Middle Position (Recommend) | Adjusted as recommended in the table in case of change to the ambient temperature around the refrigerator. |
Adjustment Notes:
1. When the ambient temperature around the refrigerator is higher than 35 °C, do not set the thermostat at Mode coldest (7) and adjust the air regulating rod to the rightmost position, so as not to affect the normal refrigeration of the refrigerator.
2. Do not set the thermostat at Mode coldest (7) and adjust the air regulating rod to the leftmost position, in order to avoid the fridge compartment undercooling.
3. If the fridge temperature is not cool or undercooled, set the thermostat at the middle mode (4) and adjust the air regulating rod in the middle position.
What should I do if the freezer air regulating lever is frozen?
Note: During the actual use, the freezer air regulating lever may be frozen due to high humidity or frequent opening of the door. In such case, do not adjust the regulating lever by force; Instead, you are recommended to use a hot towel to heat it locally, so that the frozen air regulating lever gets thawed before being adjusted to avoid damage.
Which parts of the refrigerator compartment are typically the warmest and coolest?
Please note different sections of refrigerator compartment may be warmer or cooler than others – typically the back wall and bottom lowest shelf will be the coolest, the top door rack will be the warmest. To avoid frost bite, please don’t put raw vegetables too close to the coolest area.
What should I do if the LED light needs changing or is flashing?
1. Changing the light: The LED lamp is used by the refrigerator for lighting, which features low energy consumption and long service life. In case of any abnormality, please contact the after-sales personnel for visiting service. The LED lamps can only be replaced by the after-sales personnel.
