• (A) Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner.

• (B) For excessive dust, use a soft-hair brush and a mild detergent to clean.

• (C) Allow the filter to dry fully before reinstalling.

Attention:

• When there are foreign objects and water in the refrigerant.

For proper drainage of your CARRIER 40VD015H-7S-QEE, follow these instructions:

a) Keep a gradient of 1/50 to 1/100 for the drain pipes and avoid lobing or curving.

b) When connecting the drainpipe, don’t apply too much force on one side of the equipment. The piping should be positioned as close to the equipment as possible.

c) A general purpose hard PVC tube can be used. Insert the end of the PVC tube into the wash port and fasten it with a drainage hose and thread clip. Do not use binding agents or glues.

d) If used for multiple units, the public piping should be about 100mm lower than the wash ports of the equipment.

e) The hard PVC tube in the room must have a heat insulating layer.

f) Do not place drainpipes in an area with irritant gases or directly into a sewer where there might be gases with sulfur.

g) A backwater bend should be designed to prevent water leakage caused by sub-atmospheric pressure in the drain pan.

h) The pump’s maximum lift is 600mm.

After the electrical system is tested, test the drainage system:

a) Provide about 1000cc of water to the equipment via the air outlet port with a feed pump.

b) During refrigerating operation, check the drainage system to ensure water flows correctly without leaks.

c) For a new house, test the drainage system before fitting the ceiling.

d) The test should be performed even if the unit is installed in a season when heating is needed.

The noise level of the machine is below 70 dB.

Before the test run:

• Test the supply terminal tier (L, N terminals) and grounding points with a 500V mega-ohm meter. Ensure the resistance is above 1MΩ. Do not operate if it is below 1MΩ.

• Connect the unit to the power supply of the outdoor units to energize the compressor’s heating belt. To protect the compressor on startup, power it on for 12 hours prior to operation.

• Check that the installations of the drainpipe and connection line are correct. The drainpipe should be placed lower, and heat preservation measures like wrapping should be applied, especially for indoor units.

Checkup of Installation:

• check if the mains voltage is correct

• check for leakage at the piping joints

• check if the connections of mains power and indoor & outdoor units are correct

• check if the serial numbers of the terminals matching

• check if the installation place meets the specifications

• check if there is too much noise

• check if the connecting line is fastened

• check if the connectors for tubing are heat insulated

• check if the water is draining outside properly

• check if the indoor units are positioned correctly

If the CARRIER 40VD015H-7S-QEE fails to start due to room temperature, you can initiate a forced run. This function is not available with a remote control.

• Set the wired controller to refrigerating/heating mode, then press the “ON/OFF” button for 5 seconds to enter the compulsive refrigerating/heating mode.

• To stop the forced run, press the “ON/OFF” button again. This will quit the compulsive running and stop the operation of the air conditioner.

If a fault occurs with your CARRIER 40VD015H-7S-QEE, consult the fault code on the line control or the flashing of LED5 on the indoor unit’s computer panel. The codes correspond to the following issues:
