The BUSH LSBGHP Built-in Gas Hob consists of the following components:

1. Hob

2. Auxiliary burner

3. Semi-Rapid burner

4. Rapid burner

5. Control knobs

• A solid circle (●) indicates ‘Off – No gas flow’.
• A large flame star symbol indicates ‘On – Maximum gas flow’.
• A small flame symbol indicates ‘Minimum gas flow’.

Important: All operation positions must be set between the maximum and minimum flow settings, and never between the maximum setting and the off position.

Each burner on the BUSH LSBGHP consists of the following parts:

A – Burner cap

B – Burner Head

C – Burner Bowl

D – Thermocouple

E – Electrode

Please observe the following safety warnings when using your BUSH LSBGHP:

DURING USAGE:

• The appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced capabilities if they have been given supervision. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning shall not be done by children without supervision.

• WARNING: The appliance and its accessible parts become hot during use. Avoid touching heating elements. Children less than 8 years of age shall be kept away unless continuously supervised.

• WARNING: Cooking on a hob with fat or oil can be dangerous and should not be left unattended.

• WARNING: NEVER try to extinguish a cooking fire with water. Instead, switch off the appliance and cover the flame with a lid or a fire blanket.

• CAUTION: Do not allow children in the kitchen when cooking or while hob parts may still be hot.

• CAUTION: Before use, ensure curtains, paper, or flammable items are kept away from the appliance. Do not keep flammable materials inside or around your gas hob.

• WARNING: If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance to avoid electric shock.

• Position pans over the center of the burners and turn handles to a safe position where they cannot be knocked or grabbed.

• Ensure the gas hob control knobs are in the off position when not in use.

• This appliance is for non-professional, domestic use only. Do not use it for commercial purposes or for room heating.

• WARNING: Danger of fire: do not store flammable items on or near the cooking surfaces.

To light a burner on your BUSH LSBGHP, follow these steps:

1. To obtain a flame more easily, light the burner before placing a cooking utensil on the pan stand.

2. For versions with lighting integrated into the control knob, push the knob of the burner fully down and turn it anticlockwise to the “maximum flow” setting symbol.

3. After lighting the flame, keep the knob pressed for about 10 seconds. This time is necessary to heat up the “thermocouple” and activate the safety valve, which would otherwise cut off the gas flow.

4. Check that the flame is even and turn the control knob to adjust the flame as required.

In the event of a power cut, you can light the burner by placing a flame near it and proceeding as described above.

If the flame does not light after a few attempts, check that the “burner cap” and “flame cap” are correctly positioned.

To turn off the flame, turn the control knob clockwise to the ● symbol. Always lower or turn off the flame before removing pans from the burners.

For lower gas consumption and better efficiency, use only flat-bottomed pans of dimensions suitable for the burners. As soon as a liquid comes to a boil, turn the flame down to a level that will just keep it boiling.

Before any cleaning operation, disconnect the appliance from the electrical mains and allow it to cool down.

General Cleaning:

• Wash enamelled parts with lukewarm water and detergent. Do not use abrasive products which might damage them.

• Wash the flame caps and burner caps often with boiling water and detergent, taking care to remove all deposits.

• The hob pan stands can also be washed in a dishwasher.

• For stubborn dirt, use ordinary non-abrasive detergents or specific commercial products. It is strongly advised not to use scouring pads, steel wool, or acids for cleaning.

Hob Surface:

• Clean the hob regularly with a soft cloth wet with lukewarm water and a little liquid detergent. Do not use household detergents or bleaches, soaped scouring pads, steel wool scouring pads, or stain removers for baths or sinks.

• If the hob gets very dirty, use specific commercial products.

Ignition Plug:

• The automatic burner ignition is provided by a ceramic “plug” and a metal electrode. Periodically clean these parts of the hob thoroughly.

• To avoid ignition difficulties, check that the cavities in the burner are not obstructed. To remove deposits, remove the cap and separate the two parts of the burner. After cleaning, put the two parts back together and return them correctly to their position. After washing, replace the hob pan stands, checking that they are correctly positioned.

Any of the following are considered to be abnormal operation and may require servicing:

• Yellow tipping of the burner flame.

• Sooting up of cooking utensils.

• Burners not igniting properly.

• Burners failing to remain alight.

• Burners extinguished by cupboard doors.

• Gas valves, which are difficult to turn.

Erratic flames are likely caused by debris in the gas burners or jets. You should contact the product support team for assistance from an engineer.

A strong smell of gas indicates a possible gas leak. You must immediately turn off ALL gas supply, open windows and doors for immediate ventilation, and then contact the product support team for an engineer service call.

If the hob burners do not operate correctly, first check if the burner parts are correctly assembled, especially after cleaning. Another possible cause is that the gas supply pressure may be too low or high. For appliances working with bottled LPG, the LPG cylinder may be depleted.

If the ignition is not working, there may be a possible fault with the igniter or ignition system. You should call the product support team for assistance and a possible engineer visit.

The hob is rated for G30 29mbar 7.5 kW 545 g/h, II2H3+ GB Clase: 3. The injector specifications are as follows:

This procedure must be performed by a qualified technician.

Changing the nozzles:

1. Remove the pan stand.

2. Remove the burner caps and flame caps from the burners.

3. Use a size 7 socket wrench to unscrew and remove the nozzles, replacing them with those corresponding to the new type of gas (refer to the injector table).

4. Reassemble the parts, reversing the operations described above.

5. Replace the setting data label (close to the mains gas connection) with the one for the new type of gas.

Setting the minimum level:

1. Light the burner as already described.

2. Turn the tap to the minimum flame position.

3. Remove the control knobs.

4. For converting from LPG to NG: Use a thin blade screwdriver to turn the by-pass screw located above the left of the gas valve shaft. Turn the screw gently clockwise to the end completely, then turn it anti-clockwise by the specified amount for each burner type (e.g., 3/4 turn for the Large rapid burner).

5. For converting from NG to LPG: Use a thin blade screwdriver to turn the by-pass screw located above the left of the gas valve shaft. Turn the screw gently clockwise to the end.

6. Finally, check that the burner does not go out when the tap is turned quickly from the maximum to the minimum position.

This appliance is marked according to the European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The crossed out wheelie bin symbol indicates that this appliance may not be treated as household waste. Instead, it must be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
