DO:

• Read the instruction manual before use.

• Ensure all electrical connections are properly made according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Switch off and unplug from the mains before changing connections.

• Place the TV on a solid, even surface with at least 10cm of free space around it for ventilation.

• Use the TV in moderate climates, at an altitude of less than 5000 meters above sea level, in dry locations.

• Carefully attach the stand, tightening screws firmly to prevent the TV from tilting.

DON’T:

• Remove any fixed cover, as this may expose dangerous voltages.

• Obstruct ventilation openings with items like newspapers, tablecloths, or curtains.

• Allow electrical equipment to be exposed to dripping or splashing, or place objects filled with liquids on the TV.

• Place hot objects or naked flame sources on or near the TV.

• Use makeshift stands or fix legs with wood screws. Always use the manufacturer’s approved stand with the provided fixings.

• Listen to headphones at high volume for extended periods, as this can cause permanent hearing damage.

• Leave the TV switched on when unattended unless it has a specific standby mode for this purpose.

• Continue to operate the TV if it is damaged or not working normally. Switch it off, unplug it, and consult your dealer.

• Let anyone, especially children, push objects into holes, slots, or any other opening in the TV.

• Use the TV in a humid or damp place. Avoid bathrooms, kitchens, and washing machines.

• Expose the TV to rain, water, or direct sunlight.

• Do not place the TV, furniture, or other objects on the power cord (mains lead) or pinch the cord.

• Handle the power cord by the plug. Do not pull the plug by holding its neck, as this could cause damage.

• Do not unplug the TV by pulling from the power cord and never touch the power cord with wet hands, as this could cause a short circuit or electric shock.

• Never make a knot in the cord or tie it with other cords. Power cords should be placed where they are not likely to be stepped on.

• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by qualified personnel.

• The TV is supplied with a moulded mains plug that should not be cut off. If you need to extend the lead, use an appropriate safety-approved extension lead and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

• Do not ingest the battery, as it is a Chemical Burn Hazard. The TV or its accessories may contain a coin/button cell battery which can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death if swallowed.

• Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.

• If you suspect batteries have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

• Incorrect installation of batteries may cause leakage and corrosion, damaging the remote control.

• Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types.

• Do not dispose of batteries in a fire or with normal household waste; take them to a local recycling centre.

• Insert batteries in the correct polarity. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.

• If you will not use the TV for a long time, remove the batteries.

• If batteries have leaked, use gloves and clean the remote control thoroughly with a dry cloth.

• Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sunshine or fire.

When you turn on your BUSH 24HT25CB for the first time, follow these steps:

1. **Language Selection:** The language selection screen appears. Select your desired language and press OK.

2. **Accessibility Settings:** You will be asked if you want to change accessibility settings. Highlight Yes and press OK to change them, or No to continue.

3. **Country Selection:** Set your country preference on the next screen.

4. **Set PIN:** You will be asked to set and confirm a PIN. You will need to enter this PIN for certain menu operations in the future.

5. **Mode Selection:** You can activate **Store Mode** or **Home Mode**. It is recommended to select **Home Mode** for home use. Make your selection and press OK.

6. **Picture Mode:** Depending on the model, a picture mode selection screen may appear. For lower energy consumption, select **Natural** and press OK. If you select **Dynamic**, a confirmation dialogue will appear.

7. **Consent Settings:** A “Summary of Consent Settings” screen may appear. Here you can manage your consent for various features. Highlight a feature, press OK to enable/disable, and read the explanations. When finished, highlight **Submit Consent Choices** and press OK.

8. **TiVo Smart TV Service Agreement:** Agree to the terms and conditions for the TiVo Smart TV Service by highlighting **Accept** and pressing OK.

9. **Manufacturer Agreement:** Agree to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions by highlighting **Accept** and pressing OK.

10. **Network/Internet Settings:** Configure your wired or wireless network connection. After settings are complete, highlight **Next** and press OK. If you want to connect later, choose **Setup Later**.

11. **Broadcast Type Selection:** Choose the broadcast types you want to search for (e.g., Digital Aerial). You can also set a favourite broadcast type. Highlight **Next** and press OK to continue.

12. **Channel Scan:** The TV will start searching for available channels of the selected broadcast types. You can press the TiVo, Back, or Exit button to cancel the search.

13. **Postcode Selection:** After the aerial channel search, enter your postcode to receive regional channels.

14. **Freely TV-App Installation:** Once the channel installation is complete, follow the on-screen steps to install the Freely TV-App, which is required to access Freely services.

During the search, a dialogue may ask if you want to sort channels according to the LCN (Logical Channel Number). Select Yes and press OK to confirm.

The remote may have a screw securing the battery compartment cover. If so, remove the screw first.

1. Remove the battery compartment cover to reveal the battery compartment.

2. Insert two 1.5V – size AAA batteries. Make sure the (+) and (-) signs on the batteries match the markings inside the compartment (observing correct polarity).

3. Do not mix old and new batteries. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

4. Place the cover back on. If there was a screw, secure the cover again with it.

A message will be displayed on the screen when the batteries are low and must be replaced. Low batteries may impair the performance of the remote control.

First, connect the power cord to a power source such as a wall socket (220-240V AC, 50 Hz).

To Switch the TV On from standby mode:

• Press the **Standby** button, **Programme +/-**, a numeric button, **Guide** button, **Netflix** button, or **Freely** button on the remote control.

• Alternatively, press the control button on the TV itself.

To Switch the TV Off:

• Press the **Standby** button on the remote control.

• Press the control button on the TV to display the function options menu. The focus will be on the Standby option. Press and hold the button for about 3 seconds to activate it (the icon colour will change). Press the button again to turn the TV off.

To power down the TV completely:

• Unplug the power cord from the mains socket.

1. Standby (*): Press briefly for Standby/On. Press and hold for Restart/Power Off options.

2. Numeric buttons: Switch channels in Live TV mode or enter numbers.

3. Text: Displays teletext. Press again to superimpose (mix), and again to close.

4. Mute: Turns the volume off completely.

5. Volume +/-: Increases/decreases the volume level.

6. Guide: Displays the electronic programme guide.

7. Directional buttons: Navigate menus and setting options. In Teletext, displays subpages when pressed Right or Left.

8. OK: Confirms selections, enters sub-menus, holds the page (in Teletext), and views the channel list.

9. Back/Return: Returns to the previous screen/menu, goes one step back, and closes open windows. Cycles between previous and current channels/sources.

10. Netflix: Launches the Netflix application.

11. Prime Video: Launches the Amazon Prime Video application.

12. Internet: Opens the Internet browser.

13. Coloured Buttons: Follow on-screen instructions for their functions.

14. Rewind: Moves frames backward in media.

15. No function.

16. Play: Starts playing selected media.

17. Stop: Stops the media being played.

18. Pause: Pauses the media being played.

19. Fast Forward: Moves frames forward in media.

20. Freely: Launches the Freely platform (UK only).

21. Disney+: Launches the Disney+ application.

22. YouTube: Launches the YouTube application.

23. Exit: Closes and exits from displayed menus, returns to the previous screen, exits from any running application, closes the Home screen and switches to the last used source.

24. Settings: Opens the Settings menu.

25. TiVo: Returns you to the Home screen within TiVo OS.

26. Source: Shows available broadcast and content sources.

27. Programme +/-: Increases/decreases the channel number in Live TV mode.

28. Info: Displays information about on-screen content.

Your BUSH 24HT25CB has a single control button that controls Standby-On, Source, Programme, and Volume functions.

• **Display Menu:** Press the control button to display the function options menu.

• **Navigate:** Press the button consecutively to move the focus to the desired option (e.g., Volume +, Programme -, Source, Standby).

• **Activate Option:** Press and hold the button for about 3 seconds to activate the selected option. The icon’s colour will change.

• **Use Function:** After activating an option, press the button once again to use the function (e.g., to increase volume or change channel).

• **Deactivate Option:** To select another function, you must first deactivate the current one. Press and hold the button to deactivate it (the icon colour will change back).

• **Close Menu:** To close the function menu, do not press the button for about 5 seconds.

Specific Operations:

• **Turn TV Off:** Press the button to show the menu. The focus will be on Standby. Press and hold for ~3 seconds to activate it, then press the button again to turn the TV off.

• **Turn TV On:** Simply press the control button.

• **Change Volume:** Navigate to Volume + or Volume -, activate it by pressing and holding, then press the button repeatedly to adjust the volume.

• **Change Channel:** Navigate to Programme + or Programme -, activate it by pressing and holding, then press the button to switch to the next/previous channel.

• **Change Source:** Navigate to the Source option, activate it by pressing and holding, then press the button again to display the source list. Scroll through the sources by pressing the button; the TV will automatically switch to the highlighted source.

The TiVo OS on your BUSH 24HT25CB is designed to provide a comprehensive browsing and viewing experience.

1. Home Screen: This is your main starting point. It gathers trending titles, recently watched shows, live TV, and recommendations based on your habits.

2. My Apps Carousel: Contains all the apps from which TiVo OS makes recommendations. You can select an app here to browse within it directly.

3. All Apps Screen: Use this screen to control which apps appear in the “My Apps” carousel and are used for recommendations. Press and hold OK to select or unselect an app.

4. Navigation Carousel: Gives you easy access to common features like Live TV, Guide, All Apps, Freely, Sources, Channel List, Recordings, Timers, and Settings.

5. Browse Screens: Select TiVo+ Free, TV Shows, Movies, and Watchlist to focus your browsing on those specific content types.

6. Content Details: When you find a show or movie that interests you, highlight it and press OK to view details, learn about cast and crew, and see recommendations for similar content.

7. Text Search: Select Search in the Main Menu to search for content across all your applications. Enter a title or actor using the virtual keyboard.

Using the Watchlist:

• The Watchlist helps you save shows you want to watch later. What you add helps personalize your recommendations.

• To add a show, go to its Content Details screen and select **+ Watchlist**. The plus icon will change to a bookmark.

• To remove a show, go to its Content Details screen and select **Watchlist**. The bookmark will change back to a plus.

Rating Content:

• You can tell TiVo OS how you feel about a show or movie to get better recommendations.

• Go to the Content Details screen of a show and select **Rate**.

• Choose Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down. Content you rate with Thumbs Down will no longer appear in your recommendations.

If the Freely TV-App is not installed, you can manage the channel list through the TV’s native system.

1. While watching live TV, press the **OK** button to open the channel list. Alternatively, go to the navigation carousel on the Home screen and select **Channel List**.

2. You can use the **Filter** and **Edit** tab options to make changes. Highlight the tab you want and press OK.

Managing Favourite Lists:

You can create four different lists of your favourite channels.

1. Open the Channel List and go to the **Edit** tab.

2. Select the **Tag/Untag channel** option.

3. Select the desired channel(s) by highlighting them and pressing **OK**. You can make multiple selections or use the **Tag/Untag All** option.

4. Press the **Back/Return** button to return to the Edit menu options.

5. Select **Add/Remove Favourites** and press **OK**.

6. The favourite channel list options will be displayed. Set the desired list to **On**. The selected channels will be added to that list.

To remove channels, follow the same steps and set the desired list to **Off**.

You can use the **Filter** tab to permanently display one of your favourite lists whenever you open the channel list.

You can connect a 2.5″ or 3.5″ external hard disk drive (with external power) or a USB memory stick to your TV’s USB input. The TV supports FAT32 and NTFS disk formatting.

1. Connect your USB storage device to the USB input on the side of the TV.

2. A message will appear stating the device is connected. You can access the USB content from the **Sources** menu on the Home screen. Alternatively, press the **Source** button on the remote and select your USB device.

3. The Media Browser will open, allowing you to play audio, video, and image files.

To change playback options like loop or shuffle, press the **Info** button during playback to bring up the information bar. Highlight the gear wheel symbol, press OK, and navigate the settings. The available loop/shuffle modes are:

You can personalize your TV by setting a favourite image to display when it boots up.

1. Copy your desired image files to a USB disk. Images must have an aspect ratio between 4:3 and 16:9 and be in .jpeg or .jpg format.

2. Connect the USB disk to the TV and open the Media Browser.

3. Navigate to and highlight your desired image, then press **OK** to view it in full screen.

4. Press the **Info** button, highlight the gear wheel symbol on the information bar, and press **OK**.

5. Select **Options** and press **OK**.

6. Highlight the **Set Boot Logo** option and press **OK**.

7. A confirmation message will appear. Select **Yes** and press **OK**.

The image will now be displayed during the TV’s next boot-up. You can restore the default logo from the `Settings > System > More` menu.

CEC allows you to control CEC-enabled devices connected via HDMI using your TV’s remote control.

1. Enable the CEC option in the `Settings > Devices` menu.

2. Press the **Source** button and select the HDMI input of the connected CEC device.

3. The connected device will be listed with its own name (e.g., “DVD Player”) instead of the HDMI port name.

4. The TV remote will now automatically perform the main functions of the connected device.

To stop this operation and control the TV again, press and hold the “0-Zero” button on the remote for 3 seconds. You can disable CEC functionality entirely in the `Settings > Devices` menu.

The TV also supports ARC (Audio Return Channel) via the HDMI2 input, which sends audio from the TV to a connected A/V receiver or sound system.

Parental settings are located in the `Settings > System > Parental` menu. You will need to enter your PIN to access these options.

• **Menu Lock:** Enables or disables access to all menus or just the Installation menu.

• **Maturity Lock:** If set, the TV gets maturity information from the broadcast and prohibits access to content above the selected maturity level.

• **Child Lock:** If set to On, the TV can only be controlled by the remote control; the control button on the TV will not work.

• **Guidance:** Enables or disables access to some MHEG applications.

• **Internet Lock:** If set to On, internet-using applications will be disabled.

• **Set PIN:** Defines a new PIN number.

• **Default CICAM PIN:** Change the default PIN of a connected CI CAM module.

The way you access the EPG depends on whether the Freely TV-App is installed.

If Freely TV-App is NOT installed:

Press the **Guide** button on your remote. The guide has two layouts: **Timeline Schedule** and **Now/Next**. Use the directional buttons to navigate events. Press **OK** on an event to see options like **Select Channel** (to watch) or **More Info**. You can use the **Filter**, **Previous/Next Day**, and **Extras** (Genre Highlight, Guide Search) tabs for more advanced navigation.

If Freely TV-App IS installed:

Press the **Guide** button on your remote, or press the **Freely** button and select the TV Guide tab. This guide integrates catch-up TV services. Use the directional buttons to scroll through the guide, including past events. If a past event is available for catch-up, you can highlight it and press **OK** to play it back. Your TV must be connected to the internet to use catch-up services.

Your TV can find and update its software automatically via broadcast signal or the internet.

Manual Search via User Interface:

1. Press the **Settings** button on the remote or select Settings on the Home screen.

2. Navigate to the `System > More` menu and highlight the **Software Upgrade** option, then press **OK**.

3. Highlight **Scan for upgrade** and press **OK** to check for new software.

4. If a new upgrade is found, it will begin downloading. After the download is complete, a warning will be displayed. Press **OK** to complete the software upgrade process and restart the TV.

3 AM Search and Upgrade Mode:

If the **Automatic scanning** option is enabled, your TV will automatically search for new upgrades at 3:00 AM. If new software is found and downloaded, it will be installed the next time you power on the TV. Do not unplug the power cord while the LED is blinking during this process.

To connect your TV to the internet, go to the `Settings > Network` menu.

Wired Connectivity:

1. Connect your TV to your modem/router using an Ethernet cable. The LAN port is on the rear of the TV.

2. In the Network menu, set the **Network Type** to **Wired Device**.

3. The connection status will be displayed. You can also perform an **Internet Speed Test** or configure **Advanced Settings** (IP, DNS) if needed.

Wireless Connectivity:

1. In the Network menu, set the **Network Type** to **Wireless Device**.

2. Select **Scan Wireless Networks** and press **OK**. A list of available networks will be displayed.

3. Highlight your desired network and press **OK**.

4. If the network is password-protected, enter the correct password using the virtual keyboard.

5. Wait until the IP address is shown on the screen, which confirms the connection is established.

If your router has WPS, you can use the **Press WPS on your wifi router** option for a simpler connection without entering a password.

If you are experiencing poor picture quality, try the following steps:

• Check if you have correctly tuned the TV.

• A low signal level can cause picture distortion. Please check your antenna connections.

• Check if you have entered the correct channel frequency if you performed a manual tuning.

If your TV screen is blank, please check the following:

• The TV may not be receiving any signal. Make sure the correct source has been selected.

• Is the antenna connected properly?

• Is the antenna cable damaged?

• Are suitable plugs being used to connect the antenna?

• If the content is received through an HDMI input, try changing the related HDMI source input setting to **Enhanced** or **Regular** from the `Sources` option in the `Settings > System` menu.

• If you are still in doubt, consult your dealer.

If you are not getting any sound from your TV, follow these troubleshooting steps:

• Check if the TV sound is muted. Press the **Mute** button or increase the volume to check.

• If sound is coming from only one speaker, check the balance setting in the **Sound** menu.

• Check if the **Sound Output** option is set correctly in the **Sound** menu.

• If the content is received through an HDMI input, try changing the related HDMI source input setting to **Enhanced** or **Regular** from the `Sources` option in the `Settings > System` menu.

If the remote control is not operating, the batteries may be exhausted. Please replace the batteries.

If you cannot select an input source, it is possible that no device is connected. If a device is connected, check the AV cables and connections for the input source you are trying to switch to.
