Why is my tableware not clean or dry?

Tableware is not dry:

• No rinse aid used or dosage is too low. Add rinse aid and/or increase the dosage.

• Programme has no drying phase. Select a programme with drying (e.g., Intensive, Eco).

• Water collects in recesses. Position items at an angle.

• Tableware removed too early. Wait for the programme to end, plus an additional 30 minutes.

• Plastic tableware does not dry well as it doesn’t store heat. This is normal.

Remnants of food on tableware:

• Items are too close together. Arrange with more space.

• Spray arm is blocked. Ensure it can rotate freely.

• Filters are soiled or inserted incorrectly. Clean and correctly insert filters.

• Programme was too weak. Select a more intensive programme.

• Tableware was pre-cleaned too intensely. Do not pre-rinse, only scrape off large food remnants.

Why are there spots, stains, or residues on my tableware or appliance?

Detergent residue: The dispenser lid was blocked by tableware, or the detergent was lumpy or added to a damp dispenser. Ensure the dispenser is not blocked and is dry before adding detergent. Using tabs in short programmes can also cause this; use powder/liquid instead.

Water marks on plastic: This is normal due to physics. Use rinse aid, an intensive programme, and angle items to help.

White coatings (stubborn): These are detergent deposits. Change your detergent and clean the appliance mechanically. You may be using too little detergent or too weak a programme.

Tea or lipstick marks: Washing temperature is too low. Select a programme with a higher temperature. Check detergent amount and avoid intense pre-cleaning.

Coloured coatings (blue, yellow, brown): From substances in vegetables or tap water, or metal components on silver/aluminium. Clean the appliance with a machine cleaning product. These deposits are harmless to health.

Removable streaks or metallic appearance: Rinse aid amount is too high (lower the setting) or no rinse aid was added (add some).

Rust spots on cutlery: Cutlery is not sufficiently rust-resistant. Use rust-resistant tableware and do not wash with other rusting items.

Why is the appliance making strange noises or not working correctly?

Excessive foam: Hand washing-up liquid was used. Immediately add rinse aid to the dispenser to break down the foam. Remove any spilled rinse aid with a cloth.

All LEDs lit or flashing: A software update may be installing (wait 30 mins) or electronics have detected a fault. Perform a reset by pressing the main switch for 4 seconds. If the fault persists, unplug the appliance for 2 minutes before restarting.

Water left in appliance: Filters or the wastewater pump are blocked. Clean them. Or, the programme has not finished yet; wait or terminate it.

Appliance cannot be switched on: A software update may be in progress, or appliance functions have failed. Try unplugging for 2 minutes. Check the mains fuse.

Appliance does not start: Check mains cable connection and socket. Ensure the door is properly closed.

Appliance door cannot be closed: The door lock may be activated (close with more force), or the appliance/tableware is physically obstructed. Check for obstructions.

Knocking/rattling noise: A spray arm is striking tableware (rearrange items), or with a small load, water jets are hitting the tub (load more items). Light items may also be moving around (secure them).
