To ensure safe operation of your BLAUBERG BRICE 180, please follow these safety instructions:

• Do not modify internal wiring, as unpredictable accidents may occur.

• Do not place fingers or stick objects in the air inlet or outlet, as this may cause injury.

• Prohibit placing obstacles near the air outlet and air inlet, as this may cause fire or damage to the product.

• Do not turn your eyes towards the air outlet, especially during startup, as garbage and other debris may fly out and cause eye injuries.

• The building structure for installing this product must be firm and secure; an unstable structure may cause the product to fall and cause injury.

• When lifting this product, pay attention to the center of gravity balance. Only lift when the balance is confirmed, otherwise it may cause the product to fall and cause injury.

• Inspection and maintenance work must be carried out by professional personnel to avoid unpredictable accidents.

• Wear protective tools such as gloves and helmets during inspection to prevent injury.

• When performing maintenance (dismantling the inspection panel), be aware of falling dirt, dust, or insects which may enter the eyes.

• During inspection, prevent components, tools, etc., from falling from a height to avoid injury to personnel.

• Electrical engineering construction must be carried out in accordance with the electrical schematic and local wiring rules. Improper wiring may cause electrical measurement or fire hazards.

• Do not modify or split this product, as unpredictable changes may occur.

• Do not use power sources other than the rated voltage, as this may cause fire or damage to the product.

• If a gas leakage occurs, open doors and windows to allow indoor air circulation. Do not open or close this product, as it may generate electric sparks and cause explosions.

• Qualified professionals must be commissioned for electrical, piping, and installation engineering to prevent accidents from imperfections in the installation.

• When hanging the body from the ceiling, bolts must be used in the specified quantity and diameter, and must be tightened. Failure to tighten bolts may cause the product to fall and cause injury.

• After installation, the load of the air duct must not fall on the machine, which could cause injury due to the machine body falling from excessive load.

• When checking, the power must be cut off to prevent injury or electric shock.

• Immediately stop use in case of abnormalities (sound, vibration, odor) to prevent unpredictable accidents.

• For special purposes, such as the use of food, animals, plants, precision instruments, and art, fully confirm conditions as special conditions may lead to quality deterioration.

• During inspection, even if the power is turned off, the fan will still run for a short period. Confirm the fan has completely stopped before conducting the inspection to prevent people or objects from being caught in moving parts.

• Take appropriate measures to prevent gas from flowing back into the room from open airways or other open flame equipment to avoid smoke reflux.

All dimensions are in millimeters (mm). Please refer to the actual product as manual measurements may have certain errors.

• Transportation equipment: Any vehicle can be used for transportation without being damaged by climate and machinery.

• Loading and unloading handling: A crane can be used for handling to reduce mechanical damage. Loading and unloading operations should be carried out in accordance with the type of goods of this product.

• The storage equipment is packaged in its original factory and stored in a dry and ventilated environment.

• Storage environment: It should be stored in an environment with stable temperature and humidity, and the ambient temperature should be between +5 °C and +40 °C.

• Avoid storage in environments that may cause mechanical damage.

• Do not store items that may cause corrosion and damage to the insulation together.

The installation process for a gypsum board ceiling is the same as a wall installation.

7.1.1 First, a circular hole needs to be made in the wall. For the Brice 180 model, a hole with a diameter of 180-200mm is recommended.

7.1.2 Then, remove the plastic clip on the back of the main unit and unscrew the screws at the bottom to take off the front panel.

7.1.3 Place the main body into the hole in the wall.

7.1.4 Use four plastic expansion bolts to fix the main unit onto the wall.

7.1.5 Install the front panel and tighten the fixing screws at the bottom of the panel.

7.1.6 Connect the power cable to the power source.

7.2.1 First, a circular hole needs to be made in the glass. For the Brice 180 model, it is recommended to make a hole with a diameter of 180-200mm.

7.2.2 Then, remove the plastic clip on the back of the main unit.

7.2.3 Place the machine into the hole in the glass.

7.2.4 Install the plastic clip on the back of the main unit to securely fix the machine onto the glass.

7.2.5 Connect the power cable to the power source.

8.1 The product is not suitable for individuals with disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or mental disorders, or those who lack insurance or common sense (including children) for maintenance and use, unless used under the supervision or guidance of a guardian. It should be ensured that children do not play with this product as a toy.

8.2 This product shall not be used to discharge toxic or explosive substances and gases.

8.3 During installation, a full pole disconnecting device with a contact distance of no less than 3mm should be installed in the power supply line.

8.4 When exchanging air in a room using gas appliances, an additional sufficiently large air inlet should be installed, and the size of the air inlet should be set according to the requirements of the gas appliance user manual (gas reflux indoors may cause carbon monoxide poisoning).

8.5 If the product is installed on a wall and the rear end of the machine is connected to an aluminum foil duct or similar air duct, the air duct must be tilted downwards by at least 1/100 to prevent rainwater or frozen water from flowing back into the ventilation fan housing.

8.6 In winter, when using this product to supply indoor air and heating, there is a possibility of condensation on the joints and the outer surface of the body. Insulation treatment is required.

8.7 This product is suitable for outdoor environments with a temperature range of -5 °C to 40 °C. When the outdoor temperature exceeds this range, it is not recommended to use this product, otherwise there is a risk of condensation or frost.

8.8 Due to the weight of the body and the installation on the ceiling, attention should be paid to avoiding installation on the ceiling with insufficient load-bearing capacity.

8.9 The power cord diameter must be greater than 2.0mm.

9.1 If there is abnormal noise, odor, or the impeller does not rotate when powered on, the power should be immediately disconnected and handed over to professional personnel for maintenance.

9.6 Regular cleaning should be carried out, using cotton or soft cloth dipped in soap for cleaning. Liquids that corrode plastics such as gasoline should be prohibited, and the impeller should not be touched or pressed.

The unit should be connected to a AC220V-50Hz power supply. The wiring is as follows:

• L (Live): Connects to the Brown wire.

• N (Neutral): Connects to the Blue wire.

• GND (Ground): Connects to the Yellow/Green wire.

The motor is protected by a thermal fuse.

This table has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of SJ/T 11364.

O: Indicates that the content of the hazardous substance in all homogeneous materials of the component is within the limit requirements specified in GB/T 26572.

X: Indicates that the content of the hazardous substance in at least one homogeneous material of the component exceeds the limit requirements specified in GB/T 26572.

The number 10 in the symbol refers to the “Environmental Protection Service Life” of 10 years, applicable to electronic and electrical products produced or imported within the territory of the People’s Republic of China (excluding Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau) in accordance with SJ/T11364 “Requirements for Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electronic and Electrical Products”.

In accordance with the safety and usage precautions recorded in the user manual, and without any other legal or regulatory exemptions, the harmful substances in the product will not leak or mutate within the 10 years from the production date. The use of this product will not cause serious pollution to the environment or cause serious damage to the user’s personal and property. The “environmentally friendly usage period” is not a safe usage period and is different from a limited usage period based on factors such as electrical performance safety and electromagnetic safety.

When the product is discarded after appropriate use, it is hoped to be handled in accordance with relevant laws or regulations on the recycling or reuse of electronic and electrical products.

Note: This period is the “environmental protection use period” and not the quality assurance period of the product.
