Be careful not to place the tip too far into the nostril or press against the inside wall of the nostril. Press and hold the power button to activate and allow the suction to clear the mucus. Only a few seconds of suction at a time are necessary. Repeat in the other nostril or as needed. 1. 2. 3. Care and Cleaning Separate the suction portion from the base of the aspirator by gently pulling it apart. Unscrew collection cup by turning it counter clockwise. Remove white rubber ring located where collection cup screws in. DISASSEM BLING YOUR ASPIRATOR Power button HELPFUL HINTS: • If needed, block the opposite nostril for more effective suctioning. • A small amount of saline mist may help to loosen thicker mucus. • Opening the baby/child’s mouth will help reduce ear pressure discomfort. Note: The mucus may not immediately appear in the collection cup. After each use we recommend a quick cleaning of the used tip by removing it from the unit and thoroughly rinsing under warm tap. Therefore, its RF emissions are very low and are not likely to cause any interference in nearby electronic equipment. The NS14 Nasal Aspirator is suitable for use in all establishments, including domestic establishments and those directly connected to the public Iow- voltage power supply network that supplies buildings used for domestic purposes. Guidance and manufacturer’s declaration — electromagnetic immunity The NS14 Nasal Aspirator is intended for use in the electromagnetic environment specified below. The customer or the user of the NS14 Nasal Aspirator should assure that it is used in such an environment. If floors are covered with synthetic material, the relative humidity should be at least 30% Power frequency magnetic fields should be at levels characteristic of a typical location in a typical commercial or hospital environment. level Portable and mobile RF communications equipment should be used no closer to any part of the NS14 Nasal Aspirator, including cables, than the recommended separation distance calculated from the equation applicable to the frequency of the transmitter. Recommended separation distance d:1.2 /P d=1.2 /P 80 MHz to 800 MHZ d=2.3 /P 800 MHZ to GHz 3 V/m where P is the maximum output power rating of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer and d is the recommended separation distance in meters (m). Field strengths from fixed RF transmitters, as determined by an electromagnetic site surveys, should be less than the compliance b level in each frequency range . Interference may occur in the vicinity of equipment marked with the following symbol: NOTE 1 At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the higher frequency range applies. NOTE 2 These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects and people. 14

****** Page 9 ****** a. Field strengths from fixed transmitters, such as base stations for radio (cellular/cordless) telephones and land mobile radios, amateur radio, AM and FM radio broadcast and TV broadcast cannot be predicted theoretically with accuracy. To assess the electromagnetic environment due to fixed RF transmitters, an electromagnetic site survey should be considered. If the measured field strength in the location in which the NS14 Nasal Aspirator is used exceeds the applicable RF compliance level above, the NS14 Nasal Aspirator should be observed to verify normal operation. If abnormal performance is observed, additional measures may be necessary, such as reorienting or relocating the NS14 Nasal Aspirator. b. Over the frequency range 150 kHz to 80 MHz, field strengths should be less than 3 V/m. Recommended separation distances between portable and mobile RF communications equipment and the NS14 Nasal Aspirator The NS14 Nasal Aspirator is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment in which radiated RF disturbances are controlled. The customer or the user of the NS14 Nasal Aspirator can help prevent electromagnetic interference by maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF communications equipment (transmitters) and the NS14 Nasal Aspirator as recommended below, according to the maximum output power of the communications equipment. Rated maximum Output power of Transmitter w 0.01 0.1 1 10 100 Separation distance according to frequency of transmitter m 150 kHz to 80 MHz d:1.2 /P 0.12 0.38 1.2 3.8 12 80 MHz to 800 MHz d:1.2 /P 0.12 0.38 1.2 3.8 12 800 MHz to 2.5 GHz d=2.3 /P 0.23 o. 73 2.3 7.3 23 For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed above, the recommended separation distance d in meters (m) can be estimated using the equation applicable to the frequency of the transmitter, where P is the maximum output power rating of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer. NOTE 1 At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the separation distance for the higher frequency range applies. NOTE 2 These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects and people. 15 Limited Warranty This NS14 Nasal Aspirator (batteries excluded) is guaranteed for one year from the date of purchase against manufacturer’s defect under normal, household use and without evidence of tampering. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS: • Device shows any signs of tampering or attempted modification. • Evidence of improper handling or storing, such as dropping, heat, liquid or cleaner damage. e Damage caused by natural disasters (fire, flood, earthquake, lightening). • No receipt or proof of purchase showing date of purchase.
