When using your ANKO YS-804DC, please follow these basic safety precautions:

• Carefully read the instruction manual before use.

• Keep the appliance and USB cable out of reach of young children.

• Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance and/or USB cable.

• Do not use on people or pets.

• Do not disassemble the appliance or USB cable as there are no user-serviceable parts inside.

• VERY IMPORTANT: Ensure that the appliance and/or USB cable does not get wet. Do not use with wet hands. Do not immerse in water or other liquids.

• Only charge the appliance with the supplied USB cable and from a Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) Battery Charger with an output rating the same as indicated on the appliance’s rating label.

• Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged.

• Do not place on uneven surfaces or where it could be subject to heat sources, direct sunlight, excessive dust, or mechanical vibrations.

• Do not operate or charge near flammable materials like curtains.

• Always switch off and unplug the charger when charging is finished, during lightning storms, or when unused for long periods.

• Do not cover the appliance or charger when in use or charging.

• Turn off and unplug before cleaning or storing.

• Do not leave the appliance on or charging unattended.

The battery specifications for the ANKO YS-804DC are as follows:

• Type: Li-ion, 3.7Vd.c., 3600mAh (Non-Removable or Replaceable).

• Input: Requires a 5Vd.c. / 2A Power Adaptor (not supplied).

• Charging Temperature: Only charge the battery between an ambient room temperature of 10°C – 40°C.

The appliance must only be supplied at Safety Extra Low Voltage “SELV”. The battery is not replaceable. Do not open the appliance.

If you find any abnormal fluid or residue seeping out of the appliance body, this could indicate a leaking, damaged battery which must be immediately disposed of.

As the Battery Pack is not removable, the whole unit will need to be handed in for the battery to be recycled.

Take care not to touch the leaking fluid or residue. If possible, place the entire unit into a large plastic bag and then place it outside in a dry area.

Before charging, ensure you have read the safety instructions. The appliance must be fully charged prior to first use. Normal charging time will take between 4.5 to 5.5 hours using a 5Vd.c. 2A charger.

1. Take the supplied USB Cable and fully unravel it.

2. To access the charging port, tilt the Fan Head forward and at the same time lift the head up, allowing the post to swing backward.

3. Lock the post in place by sliding the post lock down.

4. Plug the small end of the USB cable directly into the Charging Port on the side of the fan base.

5. Plug the large end of the USB cable into your 5Vd.c. charger, then switch on the charger.

6. The indicator lights above the control buttons will illuminate from left to right, turn off, and then repeat continuously until the battery is fully charged.

7. When fully charged, the lights will remain on permanently.

8. At this time, remove the USB charging cable and turn off & unplug the charger. Do not leave the unit charging when the battery is full.

Note: The fan can be used while charging. If any abnormality occurs during charging (like a burning smell or excessive heat), immediately turn off the charger and disconnect the USB cable.

Adjusting the Fan Head Angle:

The Fan Head can be tilted back 180° and any position in between. Simply grasp the fan head and rotate it backwards to your desired position.

Extending the Telescopic Post:

1. Before extending the post to its full height, pull out the two stabilising feet from underneath the base. This helps prevent the fan from tipping over backwards.

2. Hold the base firmly down on the floor or table, grasp the top of the telescopic post and pull up, extending the post to your desired height.

The control panel has the following components:

• A – Indicator Lights: Three lights that indicate the fan speed setting and charging status.

• B – Power On / Off Button: Press to turn the fan on or off.

• C – Fan Speed Button: Press to cycle through the fan speed settings.

1. Ensure the appliance is fully charged.

2. Press the Power On/Off button on the control panel to turn the fan on. It will start at the default Low Speed (speed setting 1), and the first indicator light will illuminate.

3. To increase the fan speed, press the Fan Speed button. The fan will increase to speed setting 2, and the middle indicator light will illuminate.

4. Press the Fan Speed button again, and the fan will increase to speed setting 3, indicated by the right indicator light illuminating.

5. Press the Fan Speed button again to cycle the speed back around to speed setting 1.

6. To turn the fan off, press the Power On/Off button.

Under normal use, the ANKO YS-804DC will work for up to 300 minutes before requiring a recharge. This duration can change depending on how the appliance is used, such as which fan speed is selected.

When the battery is running low, the three indicator lights will flash before the unit turns off and requires recharging.

1. Ensure that the appliance is switched off and unplugged from the charger.

2. Never stick anything inside the appliance’s charging port. Only clean the outside.

3. Never spray the appliance with liquids or submerge it or the USB cable in water or any other liquid.

4. Do not use flammable liquids, chemicals, abrasive creams, steel wool, or scouring pads for cleaning.

5. Clean the body with a clean, damp cloth and wipe dry.

Note: Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

1. Switch off and unplug the appliance.

2. Coil the USB cable loosely. Do not kink or pull the cable tight.

3. To fold the fan for storage, collapse the telescopic post by pushing down on it.

4. Push the two stabilising feet back in.

5. Unlock the Post Lock by pulling it up.

6. Let the post fall forward and at the same time, swing the head back so that the front of the fan grill is facing upward.

7. Store your appliance in a cool, dry location.

If your ANKO YS-804DC fan will not switch on, first check that the battery is fully charged.

If the USB cable is still plugged into the unit, ensure the charger is turned on.

If the ANKO YS-804DC keeps turning off, it is likely that the battery is flat. You need to recharge the battery or plug in the USB cable and switch on the charger to continue using the fan.
